What would you do if you saw an alien or had the ability to eat lunch with one?

If you had the opportunity to socialize with an alien, star visitor, star elder, etc. in the comfort of your own home or in a restarant would you do so? If suddenly one appeared before you what would you do? If he or she looks very odd to you, how would you behave? Would you say "hello", would you want to be friends, run, faint, hide, scream, grab a weapon and attack because he or she looks odd, introduce yourself, stand frozen and unmoving, stand with your mouth open, point at him or her, reach out your hand to shake his or her hand, talk loudly thinking that if you talk loudly he or she would understand you better, laugh, call him or her unpolite names, stare, get someone else to come over and see too thinking that perhaps you are imagining the whole thing, smile thinking you are on candid camera or some other prank show, introduce him or her to your friends and family because you like aliens, reach out compassionately understanding that he or she is so far away from home and might be feeling ackward and alone, see him or her as a distant relation as you are both created by the same Creator, think he or she is a demon or something else unsavory, think he or she is an angel, think he or she is a jinn or fairy, or think something else in line with past beliefs, or perhaps just greet him or her as an old friend as you have seen and heard this before in dreams or drug induced states or in your waking or meditative reality... Someone asked the question "What would you do?" and I thought I would like to share it with you all... Please share how you think you would react. There are no right or wrong answers here. I am just curious about what the people here on Mylots think about aliens now.

Alien from outer space, huh???? I guess there would be initial fear then I would attempt communication of some sort. Got to let them know there is intelligent life on this planet. Next, I would want to see their ship, their technology. I must say they better watch me closely. I am going to be taking a few flying saucier parts with me. After all, I might just need them when I start building my own ship.

Ah... you wish to become a ship builder do you? :) I am glad that you would attempt to communicate and that you would do your best to behave intelligently rather than trying to shoot himm like many people do in the movies. Are you intending to pilfer some saucer parts? Hoping that he offers them to you instead.

Well if I ever get the privilege to be able to come into contact with a being from another world ; for sure I would have a lot of things that I would like to ask them.Hopefully though they have developed technology that is capable for them to understand human language and for them to be able to speak in english to me.Im sure if they were able to travel at light speed to earth they would have communication devices that can translate our language using computers tens of thousands of times faster then our best super computers.I would want them to take me to their planet if it has oxygen of course and see where they came from and what other wonders this universe has to offer.

Once when I was in a distant city, waiting, by a busy sidewalk, I got to thinking about aliens as I watched people passing. Were the ragged, dirty, unkempt creatures alien, or was it the well dressed people who wore their fancy clothes, and shopped till they dropped? Which fit the alienated category best? Christmas shoppers! Because they are celebrating an alien virgin birth, the alien child Jesus with no earthly father. Stars coming together. Wise men traveling, shepherds and angels singing. All this is Alien! What would I do? Take it all with a Grain of Salt? Or would a large dose of Epsom Salts be more appropriate?

LOL! What an interesting discussion! I was amused by some of your answers in your post. Well, I'm actually quite interested in aliens and if I ever saw one, I may try making friends with them. Having lunch with one should be quite an experience. To me, aliens look like those with oval heads, big eyes and small mouths, maybe friendly inside? We don't know.

Making friends is always a nice thing to do. Here's hoping that if anything like that ever happened everyone involved would be friendly. Thanks for your comments.

Your wanting to watch how he eats is cute. :) Hoping that he eats with more decorum than some humans do. And that he would understand and be able to answer your many questions. Thanks for posting here.

whiteheron, first of all I'd watch it's appearance. If it's untolerable, then I'd run as hell away from it. If it's not, then I'll find a way of communicating with it 'cause obviously it doesn't understand english. Then find out about it's reason why it visited earth, 'cause maybe I could provide such help. Or, on second thought, I'll tell it to wait there, go outside and find the nearest phone, call the cia and tell them that I have an alien in my keep. Obviously, they'll reward me with millions. Hope it happens, then I would be a millionaire.

So the first thoughts: run, communicate, help it and then make money from it as fast as you can... sounds like capitalism at its finest. :)

As a watch The Day the Earth stood still. It was funny and serious of how the poeple acted and the one little boy takin up withthe man but the ma who should have liked to havelearned more aboutthins personwas so afraind that the feller was here to kill every one and turned him in. SO all the army stands guard. Silly. As if they have the tech to get here they sure have the tech to wipe us out. and that they should be taken to our leader to talk to and find out what we can from them. Thats if any want to come to Earth!

Hi whiteheron, Maybe we wouldn't know the person was an alien because they might appear exactly like us. If however, I met an alien as they are described and pictured in science fiction books and movies, I think I might be too scared to do anything for the first few minutes anyway. After that it would probably depend upon how she/he/it acted towards me. Once I'd recovered from the shock, and I truly knew that he came from another planet, I'd be interested in talking if it was. Blessings.

Ah... meeting the alien and seeing that we are alike. or being shocked and needing to recover. Either way, you would be interested in talking. Nice. Blessings to you too.

Believe me, I would first wonder if I had not lost my mind. However, I would really be interested to seeing how life is different. How advanced their technology is and what they think of us strange humans? I'm sure that would be quite the conversation to say the least. What their customs are, how they differ or are similar from those on our world. Be quite interesting to say the very least, providing of course I did not get hauled off the lab for some dissection or whatever afterwards.

Here's hoping no one gets hauled off to the lab for anything of the sort... Remembering ET and how close the ET got to having that happen to him... More likely for one of them to have reason to fear that than a human to fear that from an alien, IMHO.

If ever i see an alien i would try to talk with him/her and make them feel welcome to our world, promise them that i won't hurt and that they too won't hurt me. I rather take them to my house instead to keep them safe
