Hi there, Do you believe in "better to give than to receive"? We all know that this is mentioned in the bible. Some said, this is applicable for giving to the chuch (tithe), because if you are giving tithe blessing to come. You must give your tithe t the church. Do you agree or you have doubt? The blessing are coming from God (right?), why God need to receive such blessing which came from Him. Or they said that tithe is for the work of God or it is for the some clergy man only, what bible says in Matthew 23. You know for me better to receive than to receive is not for giving in the church, it is how you can help the others without asking anything in return... How about you? Do you have any view about this? Share to us.... see you around

God Gave you EVERYTHING you own, everything you Cherish, and Everything you hate. Everything comes from God, and he grants blessings unto those that give just a percentage of a percentage back to Him. You do not give your Tithe to the Church, you give it back to Heavenly Father. And for it, your life is enriched in many many ways. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

The system now is church is one who collecting such tithe which they say for God the question is - is really going to God, why God need that, God did not need that money or tithe. As you said it will be back to the Father but not through the church may be through the needy, poor, and neighboor as said in the bible... that's my point my friend.. see you around

Does your church not help the poor or needy? Or your neighbours? Mine does, and they are better at managing what should go where then I am. Is not bring the Gospel to others, a way of helping? I give tithe, and I help in my church, I spread the word, I give to the poor and needy, I help my neighbours. I just find my church does a better job then just me alone. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

A giver without a receiver is wasting what he's giving. A receiver with no giver is left wanting. Givers and receivers are equal because one is useless without the other. Modern use of the terms implies that charity is only legitimate if the giver gives to someone poorer or somehow "beneath" themselves. This is wrong! Charity doesn't ask the giver to judge the receiver, only to fill a need. Christ was both a giver and a receiver and taught us to be gracious and thankful in both situations.

My friend I got your idea and correct but my topic is about God is the one who give to us blessing it is necessary to return to God that blessing or part of that blessing since that is from Him...thanks. see you around

hi visavis that is the only way to give to help someone else because you want to and you do not expect anything in return. I see a person her in Gold Crest who is having a hard time say getting into a chair as he is badly handicapped. I will see that the chair does not slip, and he does not fall, holding on to the chair and his elbow, why do I do this because he needed help and i was the closest person to him. It comes naturally to me as I had worked as a nurses aide all my adult life then as a page in the library. So lots of times the care takers are not close and someone needs help now and if I do not aid him or her as others just watch I will not forgive myself,we all are supposed to help each other.

I must say there is alot of money being wasted giving to religion. There are much better needs that could be met. If you are going to give, please find a worthy cause instead of religion. As for giving or receiving, receivers do not realize that givers get much more. They will figure it out in time.

Hello! I do believe it is better to receive and I also believe that when we give, we also receive. This is illustrated in the principle of sowing and reaping. When you sow, you also reap but attitude is just as important when we give. Why do you give? Is it because you expect to receive something in return? There has to be a balance in everything we do. I give my tithe because I love the Lord and I love to see His Kingdom on earth expand. My giving, albeit small, can help.

God does not require your tithe to be given to the church. Often, Jesus said for us to give all of our possessions to the poor and follow Him. Tithing to the church is something that is simply easier to do for most people - it allows God's work to be done as well as supporting the group to which people belong to. But a tithe is about what you give before you spend anything else. Do you give to everyone else before others, at least 10% of what you earn? Giving to others is what God wants, thus giving to others is giving to God. A church is considered a place of God, but a church is not a place, it is a group of people. Generally, this group of people does not need a tithe, they need to worship God. Unfortunately, since churches are non-profit organizations, "tithes" are required for a church to survive. So, it depends - do you want the church to continue to have a building, electricity, a paid pastor, etc. or do others around you need the money more? It is a choice, not a requirement. God will bless you for what you do, not who you do it for necessarily.

I agree giving is more effective than receiving. It is said always when you give more, you get more. Help the needy and God will help you in some or the other way. So please help the needy. Dont expect anything in return and God will give you or your next generation all that.

I do not know if God gives and God receives and why he does so; but I know I must give more than I receive and do more than I am I expected to do. Maybe giving one tenth of my income to church is not giving more than I receive. I believe in delivering more goods than the remuneration I receive.
