Lately, I have been jotting down my extra expenditure especially this holiday season. Last Friday was my rare chance of buying gifts for my godchildren and to some young cousins of mine and my bf. They're not many (or they are just what I remember) but still, toys are a little expensive nowadays. I do not want to risk their health into some cheap stuffs anyway. So I went to a toy bazaar. Guess what, I found the following: Highschool Musical pair Dolls - Php 400 or USD 10 Walt Disney Set (shades, toy mobile, purse feat. snow white, cinderella and ariel, comb etc) - Php 700 - USD 16 Toy Storey Dart Magnet board (with darts of course) - Php 100 - USD 2 Toy Storey Board Game - Php 100 - USD 2 Cute Brown Bag - P170 - USD 4 A set of mini toys for boys like robots etc. - Php 500 - USD 12 My other godchildren are too young to receive toys and others are still on their mommy's womb (LOL!) so maybe I will just sent cash on envelope (MAYBE!). Anyhow, I really enjoyed shopping for them. I didn't realize I could buy stuffs like this in a very very cheap price. Though some packaging looked ransacked already, fortunately all that I bought still looked awesome and cool. Hope they would really love my gifts for them. =)

It sounds like you've done really good for them this year and you really got some great bargains as well. I ended up spending far too much money on my children and my nieces this year. However, I also know that they are going to be having a great Christmas and to me that really is the most important thing. I love to see the joy that the children have when they've experienced a great and magical Christmas season. Of course, right now the fight is getting the children to wait until Saturday to open their gifts.

OMY. I still have one gift left ungiven for my other god child. My other god child already played with the dart magnet board I bought for him. I hope to buy gifts for the less fortunate on the next coming holidays. =)

hi mhypie sounds like you really made some good bargains there and most little kids are not so hard to please. I am sure they will love your gifts immensely.Little ones love those little toys so much. I guess they are not overwhelming for tiny fingers. I think you are a very kind lady to your godchildren . hugs from hatley.

Yes they did. I didn't fail to make them smile and have fun with the simple toys I have bought for them. I just hope they'll do the same when they grow up. I rarely experience this kind of excitement when I was a kid because my godparents never visit me. They never remembered me so I don't want to do the same with this poor children. ='(

Hello my friend mhypie03 Ji, So nice of you starting such noble and encouraging discussion. I always think that on eshould never compare 'GIFTS' as transfer of Value in terms of virtual money, whereas let us always attach string of spirit behind it. Let Gift may be in any Kind, but people recieve whole heartely. Even a flower plucked from garden will help to tell feeling about person gifting. I am sure your Godchildren must have welcomed each Gift. Thanks. May God bless You and have a great time.

YOur godchildren are so lucky. I have not started on my christmas shopping yet because i don't have the time and i don't know what to get as well. I'm buying presents for my bf's family because i will be celebrating it with them, their big family. There will be kids around, so i'm actually thinking of buying something in a set, so that i can seperate them into two, and that shall save me some money for other gifts.

Uh, oh. Well then, just buy a set. Actually, the walth disney set that I bought has several different stuffs on it. I chose it because my godchild has a sister and I know she might get jealous. So maybe they could share it altogether. This is also the hassle in giving gifts. You have to consider other siblings or maybe I am just too concerned. =)

Your godchildren will be happy for sure. It is nice to know that there are still godparents who really wanted to make their godchildren happy during christmas. A lot of people are saying every christmas that is the time when godparents are hiding. lol

HAHAHA! I am ot really used into being a godparent because some friends of friends makes us godparents in an instant when it should be someone closest to the parent so godparent can really look after the child as if his/her own. But I am now their godparent. I try to keep up with their missed birthdays. I, myself never felt the presence of my godparents throughout my childhood and even adulthood. I don't want them to experience it. At least now I really can buy them good christmas gifts which is afterall seasonal. =)
