It may be January 2011 but it is 84 degrees. Yesterday it was in the 90's. The east coast is digging itself out of the snowstorms that has recently hit them. Here we are sweating. It is not supposed to be this darn hot in January!

Wow. Here I was thinking our 50 + weather was warm. I'd hate it to be that hot in January. Weather is all weird and topsy-turvey anywhere, it seems. We had below zero temps for three or four days last week and today they predicted rain. It's unreal.

I live in the southern california desert so this is not necessarily unusual for my region. There have been years when it was 80 degrees on Christmas but then the weather went dreary and cold until February. The weather here is like nowhere else in the world.Thank you for your response.

Send some up here to Minnesota..we're supposed to reach -16 on thursday night actual temps..and baby it's cold outside here! That means with any little breeze we'll be looking at way subzero temps! I would love to feel 84 right now!

Try as I might I cannot send good weather to the midwest in mid January. That is beyond even my powers. But you like I, have the near magical power to move. Minnesota, though it can be beautiful in all her seasons, should be an abandoned burg when the snow starts to blow up there. You would think folks would migrate like intelligent mammals when the cold weather comes on! I am teasing you. I am originally from the midwest too, though I only lived there until I was 2. I however have not seen a white Christmas in 29 of my 36 years and I must say, I may be nostalgic for the look and the novelty of all that snow, but shoveling it, managing it, and driving in it is a miserable trial of endurance. I'll take my blazingly hot summers and super mild winters thank you very much!

Wow!! This is warm.. I am glad we do not have heatwaves like this. I live in WA state and in an area it rains a lot of the time and in the 40s and 50s a lot this time of the yr. Would rather have this than the Snow and Cold or the heat anyday even though I wish it would not rain so much sometimes.

Hi. sharone74. It has been very warm, hot and windy here for the past week. It was in the late 70s and 80s and it is only February. I don't like the hot heat. I try to avoid it as much as possible too. I hope that the heat gets cooler very soon. I could not imagine being sweaty in January! Take care.

Wow that is absolutely insane. What is happening with the world? Then again, right before a really big storm hit here, there was some days where it was 70 degrees or so. That is absolutely insane to say the very least. Talk about crazy. Perhaps the world is finally ending this time. Okay, its far fetched, but if there ever was a sign. Still regardless of that, insane weather for sure.

I was actually sweating my butt off today while weeding in my garden, and boy is my garden perky after the rains last week and week before and 3 days of bright sunshiny weather. I doubt temps in the 90's in January means the world is going to end. At least I hope not! LOL It's just crazy to be listening to stories about Hotlanta and other places digging their way out of snow on the east coast while on the West we are setting records for our high temps.
