I am 36, I realized that there are still places to see, things to do, knowledge to gain, more people to meet and more fears to overcome. I have been very busy and committed in working for my family and taking a rest during weekends, that I forgot to enjoy life more together with my family. God be willing, I pray to have more out-of-town vacations with family for more bonding time with them. I want to see more places this year than last year. That's one of my ambitions, to be able to see different places and know their different culture. I hope I would be able to do that this year.

That's my plan every year. (But for some reason I always fail at it.) I'm getting better at "enjoying life more", though. I guess I just have to remind myself to enjoy life instead of working so hard! I guess what's getting in the way is that I have so many problems to work on, but once I'm done working on those problems, I can start enjoying life. I don't have much of a family right now, but I plan on trying to form one somehow without having to marry and have a child. I love experiencing different cultures and always learning and experiencing new things. That's one way I have been enjoying life more! At least I can say that much. I've been doing this mainly through reading, although I might try travel one day.

Hahaha, same dilemma here. We planned to go to two places last year. We were only able to go to one. I love culture also. It makes me wonder and appreciate people better.

I don't have much of a family right now, but I plan on trying to form one somehow without having to marry and have a child. What a fabulous concept, if I understand you right. We don't put nearly enough emphasis on the wider family (community both local and worldwide) that we live within these days.

Yes, you did understand me right :). I'm trying to gain more of a sense of community (or wider family), which has been difficult especially since I move a lot. I'm actually considering joining an intentional community at some point if I get the chance.

I will be 51 on Monday and I do have plans for my life. I had a change of plans last month when I found out I had a recurrence of ovarian cancer, but it has NOT put my life on hold. I am recovering from the surgery that was supposed to repair a fistula, but the repair was put on hold because of the cancer. So now I have to look forward to six rounds of chemo and probably another surgery, but I know that I can survive this again. I was cancer free for over seven years and once I fight back against it this time, I know that I will have another seven. For right now, I will take life one day at a time and enjoy life as much as I can. It may only communicating with people online, but I know that once this is over, I will be able to travel again and possibly relocate to Asia or somewhere else. Thanks for bringing up the topic!

You are a very inspiring person. I pray that you may have more than seven years given to you to be a living inspiration to others who loses hope easily. I like your spirit, never let anything in the way to enjoy life. Life has one chance. Live to the fullest!

Thanks. I know that many women have survived this for longer than I have. Even if I have another recurrence, I still have a purpose to go on living. If nothing else, that purpose is to let people know that you should never take "no" for an answer if you think something is wrong. Thanks for the encouragement.

I would like to step back from my day to day life a little this year, and take some time to plan how I can make it more simple, more productive, and more enjoyable.

Yes, just one. Settle all my financial obligations. I maxed out my credit cards during the holidays, but if I tighten my belt enough, I may pay the balance off in two to three months time. Just enough time to have a well-deserved summer vacation and hit the beach.

That is my plan also. Same as the previous years, I hope I can visit 3 new places this year may it be local or international. The previous years I have been lucky enough to have been to 3 new places. Hopefully this year would be the same or even better.

If you focused on something you're really going to get it. It's like acting on one purpose alone. You should keep yourself motivated to achieve that goal or you'll end like those who are always thinking of "what could have been".
