Watching Television

I have been at home from work going on the 4th day now because of this weather here in Texas it seems all there is to do is cook, clean, and watch television, even on the cable channels it is so boring!!! I like to watch the movies on the Lifetime but one show will be good and the next not so good, and on regular television it is all talk shows or boring interuptions by the weather man or woman saying the same thing over and over okay we get it!! It is cold, freezing, ice, snow, blah blah blah!!! I am going crazy on this 4th day I am running out of ideas on what to cook and clean!! What would you do? And the bad thing is can't drive in it but I know soon we will need toilet paper!L.O.L.
I guess I will have yo bundle up and walk to the store!!!

If you could only get out of Texas, I would let you clean & cook at my house. (ha,ha) I just never find the time to do the deep cleaning. It's a bummer for all the people with tickets to the super bowl that may not even get there.

I wish so may times to be out of Texas!! I don't know what to say about the Super bowl, I really only watch for the commercials they are the best!!

I agree, the commercials are the best part of the super bowl. I like how they suck you in and then make you about fall off the chair laughing. By the way, all that talk about cleaning my house. I just finished dusting, mopping and vacuuming about 1/2 hour ago. Now I get to do the laundry. Nice day off. (HA, HA)

I live in Texas too, and I'm going crazy but for different reasons. I'm not bored... I have lots to do. Problem is, my college campus has been closed all week and I need the resources at my school to do my homework and projects. So I've been reading lots of books and spending some time on mylot. I hate the cold, and I really wish all the ice and snow would melt and go away.
I hardly ever watch TV anyway, but yes. The news does sound very much like a broken record.

What part of Texas are you in? This is like a nightmare being stuck inside for days!! Huh? I hate the cold too and I am so ready for a nice sunny day!!! And warm not hot but warm like 70- 75 degrees out there! When will we see the sun again?

I live in the DFW area, and that's about as specific as I'm wiling to say. I went out in the snow earlier and it is still very icy and cold. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a doomsday snow apocalypse! But yeah, I have been feeling a little cabin fever and I'm ready for the sun to be back. I've seen it a few times today but I wonder if it's going to do any good.
It's not so much the fact that I'm missing school as I know it's going to have a negative impact on my grade because of all the time lost. I'm hoping my teachers will be understanding, because campus has only been open for two days this week, and my fellow students are also very frustrated. It's like not minding missing work, but missing the money they pay you I guess. You just can't have it both ways. lol

Sorry you are going crazy there at home. I know I do from time to time that's why I love my lil part time job. Til my kids started school there were stretches where I would leave our property say 1x every 2 weeks. I had no where to go and no money to spend so then what do you do? chill @ home.
I guess it will truly be an Ice Bowl down there on Super Bowl Sunday. Trust me it's all they keep saying is look @ they keep saying is look@ all that ice. And that they'd rather deal with the 2ft of snow we got the other day than that ice.

Yeah I hope this all ends soon!! I am ready for the sun!!! I say bring it on!! Me and my husband just went to the store for the first time since last week just around the corner which usually takes 2 minutes to get to took 30 minutes!! It is ice underneath the snow I got out of the driveway just fine but could not get back up the hill to the driveway in the back trying to put the car back in the garage so I tried to go to the front of the house and got stuck ant the end of the alleyway and had to come back around to the back and we finally got the car in the driveway in the back after several tries but not in the garage!! Never had to experience this here my whole life but I guess they say there is a first time for everything!! Well we are now back indoors bummer!!L.O.L. I did get to build a baby snowman!!

When outside is cold and freezing watching the television is one of the good choices you con make. But watching for long time becomes boring.

I start to go crazy if I am off of work for just ONE day. I get SO incredibly bored. Even having as little as ONE day off makes me bored out of my mind. On my days off, I try to run errands and whatnot..But if you don't have a car and can't leave the house that's obviously not an option. You could try earning online. You could shovel/salt outside. You could.. take on a project at home (a few days ago on my day off I went through all my summer clothes and donated a lot of them). I love to keep myself busy so I can understand where you're coming from.
