I don't check my emails too many times a day. It's properly just 2-3 times? Once in the morning when i'm in the office, while the 2nd time will be just before knocking off. I do check my emails at home as well if i happened to be online, or expecting some responses to my mails. 10 times a day is definitely too much as i don't think i will have that much of mails coming through everyday.

Wow I could not say how many times a day. I practically live in my in box and my trash folder all day. I do a great deal of online earnings and the emails pour in constantly. I do try to clean it out daily so it can take me pretty much all day.

I think that you should split your mail and start a new one, one for jobs and work and one for friends and cool thing.. Than you will not gonna have a busy mail and you could read quietly all the fun stuff when you want fun and all the work stuff when you feel like working :) But you know it is only my opinion

My opinion, its better to check once or twice per day. if its once then it should be in the evening . if its twice then its in the morning and evening , those are the best time to check your mail

Oh, I know that this post has been written two years ago already but I want to share my thoughts anyway. Funny of me I know, but still I want to tell I many times I check my inbox, only few people would asked questions like this, so I want to share mine side of happenings. So okay, on my gmails- I have three active accounts and that three accounts I checked it like five to ten times day. My yahoo account though I checked only once a day, my facebook is ten times or more a day. Not to tell of my other accounts online. Actually my friends is kind of shocked when they learn that I have multiple accounts. But I have reasons for it, specially with my on line earnings. My problem only with several accounts is.. I tend to forget the password or username. hahaha. :) Hope you are still mylotting!

Once I get into my office,I immediately open my email account and it stays open until the end of the day. My boss is usually out of town or of the country so the fastest way for us to communicate is through email or yahoo messenger. I think I check my email more often that you. its usually acts like my wallpaper hehehe

I usually check my email 3 to 5 times a day. I have it also opened all the time every time I go myLotting so as to get updates from discussions and responses. But if I have a very important one to come then I check it as much I have the chance.

I myself check my mail only when expecting an e-mail for some reason. But that is almost in every 3-4 hours so I may say I check it three-four times a day.

I have my computer next to me all the time, so whenever an email comes in, I see it right away. I'm guessing I probably look at my email 20 times or more a day. Nothing really important comes in, as I am a student, so it's not part of my job, but it's still fun to see at least a new blog post or something that came in via an email subscribed RSS feed.

I have three email accounts that I check on a regular basis. My personal email, my business email, and the email for the fire department. I usually check my personal email about 8 - 10 times a day. My business email I normally check about 3 times a day, morning, afternoon, and evening. The fire department email I check once or twice a day, normally to print off call sheets (where we responded to a call), training information, etc.

I have MSN download on my computer, I open it everyday, it stays on my desktop, when I get emails coming in, I get alert box pop up at the corner, so I check the emails when I get the alerts.

Hi, To be frank I do not check how many times I have checked my emails. Unless there are important mails supposed to be in my inbox I do not disturb them. However to check mylot related things I have to log in to gmail everyday but not Yahoo or in.com.

I am now down to checking my e-mail about three to four times a day. It does in fact depend exactly if I am expecting some crucial communication, so there could be more times or less times that I check it. However on those slow normal days, about four times seems to be a pretty good indicator. Of course, I have various e-mail addresses for different purposes, so that is a part of it. Still for me, once in the morning when I get up, in the later part of the morning before lunch, in the afternoon/evening, and the right before I go to bed. Those are the four times that I really check my e-mail. It tends to be evened out throughout the day and I can catch most of the crucial things pretty quickly that way. Perhaps add in one or two more times if I'm expecting something important.
