I am the type of person to watch the same movie over and over again (because I like it) BUT I seriously need to branch out and get some movies that I DON'T know all of the script to. I've been buying movies on Amazon like a madwoman, but I need your help in ideas of other movies to buy. I recently bought Thelma and Louise, Breakfast Club, 4 Brothers, A-Team, Mean Girls, 27 Dresses, How to Deal, Office Space, Ugly Truth, You've Got Mail, Clueless, Sincity, Love Actually, Shooter, The Departed. As you can probably see I like all kinds of movies. What are some must-have movies in your own DVD collection? What are some worth buying? I'd appreciate it!

Mannequin Date With An Angel The Last Dragon Die Hard collection Indiana Jones collection Witches of Eastwick 300 Resident Evil Collection National Lampoon's vacations collection Pretty Woman Eagle Eye True Lies Mortal Kombat The Wizard of Oz The Sound of Music Meet Me In St. Louis Little Women Dan in Real Life Journey to the Center of the Earth Grown Ups Hot Tub Time Machine When Harry Met Sally The Sorcerer's Apprentice You Again all Tyler Perry's Pirates of the Caribbean collection I could go on and on but I'd be here all night lol. Hope this was helpful, enjoy building and watching your collection. P.S. An easy way to look for titles is go to blockbuster.com and search their lists or do a search on your favorite actors and their filmography will pop up.

I wouldn't consider the Star Wars and Harry Potter DVD's lying around my house as a DVD collection, but there are some movies that I tend to watch over and over again. When they come out on cable, and even if I would be doing something, I would end up watching it over and over again. Shawshank Redemption, and The Replacements are good examples.

You seem to have as diverse taste in movies as me as I will basically watch anything with the exception of period dramas. So here are some relatively modern movies I would recommend: Under the Tuscan Sun, Walk the Line, The Game, Fracture, Shadows in the Sun, Hunted and Eight Men Out. But the best thing I can suggest is start watching and even buying older movies. If you enjoy romantic comedies then the Doris Day rom coms of the 60s are superior to todays and the Spencer Tracy/ Katahrine Hepburn comedies are excellent. If you like drama, then film noir such as Sunset Boulevard out shines everything which is made now. And if you enjoy a good western then check out any of the westerns made by John Wayne and James Stewart during the 40s and 50s. These older movies are in my opinion much better than many of the movies released in the last 20 years.

I guess I would recommend The Social Network. It has great acting and is a very interesting story.

I like watching all sorts of movies as well. Why don't you go for The Hangover, since the second part is almost there you can watch the first one and then go for the sequel as well. Also if you like watching sci-fi movies then you can try Avatar, 2012, Inception etc. For light romantic movies I would recommend you to watch The Proposal, My Big Fat Greek Wedding etc. And if you come across any other good movie then keep us updated! Happy surfing and Happy watching!!

I am the same way I will watch the same movie over and over again. I am not sure how old you are but you should get some classics in there. Maybe Scarface, Goodfellas, Godfather Trilogy, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver. It sounds like we have completely different taste in movies though. I have a feeling you might also like Lord of War if your a Nicholas Cage Fan.

I have loads of movies on DVD, and I also have loads on VHS tape, which I can't bring myself to throw out. I keep telling myself to STOP buying new DVDs, but so far I have failed. Eventually all will be available ON DEMAND and there will be no need to buy something that will become obselete. Most (if not all) of your choices are Chick Flicks, so I probably can't suggest anything that you would like from my collection. As Good As It Gets is probably as good as it gets, if you pushed me on it.

Hi why don't you French and get 'Sur Mes Levres' or 'Read My Lips', it's my favourite film of all time. Italian films are quite good as well 'Life is Beautiful' or 'La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano' aka 'The Legend of 1900'.
