Most of you have been following with my updates about my Health, and having to have a Stress Test done, etc. and know it has been an uphill battle all the way for me, and makes me wonder sometimes when is this ever going to end. If it has not been the Chronic wounds causing me problems, it was a Bad migraine, and now just feeling like I have no energy, and feeling really tired. I am just sitting here winding down after getting home from work but not really feeling good at all. I have feel asleep in my chair a couple of times, and even fell asleep at work once or twice. My body aches, and I am so tired. Just almost feel sometimes like a Mac truck or something hit me. Yes, I did have the Neuro Stress test done on Wednesday the 8th. Waiting to hear the results and see if this has anything to do with how I am feeling. At the same time because I was not sure I could do the Treadmill due to my leg acting up and really hurting due to the Chronic wounds, instead they give you a shot in an iv of something that helps get your heart acting like when you do a lot of excercise to be able to measure your heart rate, etc. It is usually safe for everyone, and most people never experience much of anything. I thought things were fine as I was feeling OK but later Wednesday night I started getting really tired and kept on falling asleep. I was feeling quite irritable and just quite moody as well. When I fell asleep I slept for like 6 hrs. was up for a little over 2, and then slept almost another 3 before having to get up and get ready for work, etc. I still am feeling exhausted if I have to walk much, and really tired, and a little more irritable that most times. Going to call my Doctor if I still feel like this in the morning, because the lack of energy when I try to walk, etc. is not Fun at all. I am beginning to wonder if for some reason I am experiencing a side effect or something that is worth being noted, or if it is something going on as in an infection or something due to the Chronic wounds. All I know is I have too much going on this weekend to not be feeling well. All I can say, does anyone have any thoughts or ideas? It this something normal or something I need to bring up? All I can say is Prayers are appreciated and I will keep you updated on what is happening from here. ~~TINA~~

Sometimes, in the case of women, extreme lethargy or feelings of tiredness leaving you with little energy is a symptom of a heart attack. Women do not have the same symptoms as men for heart attacks. I would suggest that you talk with your physician as soon as possible. This is not normal. You are diabetic with complications and multiple other diagnoses so this should not be shrugged off. I would also suggest that you curtail whatever activities that you have planned until you do consult with a physician.

That's good advice. The nurse at my doc's office told me about one woman who said she just felt tired for 3 days and that ended up being a heart attack.

Well, they did the Heart Stress neuro test, and they are going to do a ultrasound on the 11th of July to see if there is a blockage. I am keeping tabs of how I am feeling each day, and it does not help as I am diabetic to be enduring such things, but I will call if anything changes, and continue to believe God is in control.

Dear Tina, This sounds like way too much to deal with. I would say maybe a few direct restful days where, though I know you must work to pay bills but can you take a few days off to simply rest. The whole waiting for the stress test alone must be exhausting as you do not know one way or another. The other thing too is there any way you can get further treatment for the wound, I know you are diabetic but is there somehow you can get some kind of full work up to see if there is something they perhaps are missing. Tina you know I always have you in my prayers as you have so much with your health which is so frightening. See if you have any vacation days you can discuss with your hubby about taking off for rest. Always praying and wishing you well.

I am a firm believe in the power of prayer so you can count on me praying for Tina and you too Mrs. Hatley. There is not a day that goes by that I don't. The Secure Horizons is a great idea because a nurse case manager may be able to assess further more intense care and perhaps at a low cost and or for only a copay.

I would definitely talk to your doctor. As Yoyo pointed out, it could very well have been a heart attack.

They have been checking out things, and they know what is going on. I think a lot of it is just also going along with having Chronic fatigue, and the start of the infection I am on Antibiotics now as well.

Could it be a vitamin defiency? Make an virus? I know I felt awful recently and the doctor said I had a virus. I had had a cold and got over it weeks ago and the virus stuck around I guess. I know I had a grouth on my filopean tube years ago and had to wait about a week before i could have surgery. I went a head and worked but I felt awful because the poison or whatever from the grouth was seeping into my body and making me ill Just some ideas of things that might be wrong with you. I bet you will be happy to learn what is actually wrong with you. That is part of the battle. Find out what is actually wrong so you can deal with it.

hi celtic eagle I was just remembering trying to work while I was having a gall stone attack and the pain and my supervisor telling me I ought to stay home til I had the surgery. i was amazed at how easy that surgery was a band aid type they called it where they make a small incision stick a little camers in that lets them see what they need to cut, then stuck a band aid on it and kept me in just overnight. went home next morning and back to work in two weeks.shelving books and stretching up for high shelves and low for bottom shelves was purely awful.

You may want the Doctor to check your thyroid. If there's a problem with that it can make you tired a lot. It's very common in women.

I would also call a doctor and find out if there is side effects from the IV...there just might be and it might take a couple of days for it to go away...hopefully you'll be able to make it through your event!

Anything that is going on with you that seems out of the norm should be reported to your doctor right away. I do have experience with extreme fatigue and body pain from fibromyalgia so I know you are struggling to deal with this. I don't think people know just how debilitating fatigue can be. It's like trying to run the vacuum cleaner that is not plugged in. I pray that you start to get better really soon.

Hi, It sounds like what you are suffering from is malaise. This is a very real medical problem, make no mistake about it. You can't quite figure out what is wrong, but you feel down and dull, without energy all the time. Instead of medication, and testing and all that, why don't you try a simple Neurobion supplement? This is basically a vitamin supplement without any side effects and really tones up your nervous system, which is the root cause of the whole problem. One a day is all you need, and you should see great results inside a week!

All I can say is have faith in GOD, you will be healed or the pain will not be bothering you anymore and that is mind power over body. Dear friend, I can not express what really I should tell because you are the one in pain and I am not feeling it to actually share what it is that must be shared. I am just hoping that God will lessen your burden because He is the only one who can help us in times of troubles and no one else, and from us are just feeling of giving you that assurance that He is just near you, strengthening your faith in Him. Get well soon my friend.

Tina, How is your diet? Are you eating good foods, are you taking any vitamins? When your body is fighting bacteria, or viruses, your white bodies count goes up and the body tires. Do you take any kind of antioxidants? Cranberry is a good source. Exercise can increase energy levels and lowers stress levels. There are many companies that produce vitamins that can be taken to maintain energy levels. One in particular is Lifeforce Int'l. Email me for more info......Hope you feel better!

Get well soon Tina.I think the cause of your troubles is really your diabetes.Chronic wounds is a complication of diabetes.I'm not sure if it's really migraine but high blood sugar can really gives you severe headaches.Weakness and lethargy can be cause of low blood sugar.I suggest that you will seriously monitor your blood sugar. If it is high you can have your oral hypoglycemics or insulin. You can do some exercise and avoid food with high sugar content. If it gets low you need to consume food with high sugar like a a glass of orange juice or candies.Diabetes cannot be cured but it can be controlled with proper diet, exercise and medicine.About your wounds,it should really be cleanse daily. You need to see your doctor so he can give you proper antibiotics. You really need to lower your blood sugar so it can be healed.

Hi Tna, I am so sorry to hear of how you are feeling. I am all too familiar with chronic tiredness having experienced it for the last 20 years or so after contracting a very nasty flu virus. I ended up seeing a nutritionist, who helped me find a diet to counteract the chronic fatigue syndrome I was diagnosed with. It always comes at the wrong times! However, I find these days that whilst the condition never goes away, I do have more good days than bad days now, even though 5 years ago I suffered a heart attack.. I believe that we can always bounce back to better health, if we had the right medical help and guidance. Good luck and I hope your health improves soon. _Derek

Remember this saying, "The squeeky wheel gets the grease" because it does hold a lot of truth to it. Yes, you need to let your doctor know how you're feeling and when. Make a dialog on your daily life and what you're feeling from one hour to the next. Not saying to write something every hour but when you feel different then you need to write it down and take it to the doctor to see. Then be assertive with your doctor. Let him know there's something wrong and you want blood work done to find what ever it is that needs to be found. Be adamant with him/her so they can see that you're serious and not being a hypocondriac. Even if it means seeing a therapist of sorts.

I don't know if it is a side effect or the wound or whatever, but if it is a concern to you, I would definitely get it checked out. I hope you did that today (I see this message was written 17 hours ago). It is not worth feeling miserable especially if you have to be in good shape for something over the weekend. I call the doctor every time I have a concern and I think they are getting tired of it even though they say they aren't. But it is important that they know if I have a fever or bleeding or whatnot so I call in when those problems occur.

You could be experiencing side-effects of the chemical for the stress test and you should call your doctor right away. I found this: "...if you come across any of the symptoms like unsteady gait, skin rash, dizziness, fatigue, confusion, chest pain or any kind of inconvenience, then you should immediately call your doctor." Here's the site where I found this: http://www.buzzle.com/articles/thallium-stress-test-side-effects.html [NOT a referral link] Don't hesitate, call your doctor.

I had a stress test done once and I was worn out too. I didn't have the chemical one though. I had to get on that forsaken treadmill. I thought I was going to have a heart attack right there. They ran my tail off. The reason why I mention that is that the chemical stress test has to be able to give them the same results as the treadmill...so it is possible your body feels like you have been worked out. I think it is very possible too that you might not be doing well with the chemical. I hope they figure something out for you soon. You have been miserable for far too long my friend.
