Why Aren't Crowds of People OverFlowing into myLot to Answer My Questions?

I usually get about three responses to my discussions here, but surely there are more than three people out here, no? (Ooooooooooooooooooo-weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!) What's up with that?

3honor already noticed that you get often 4 or 5 responders : you are too pessimistic. I will add that an intimate discussion with a chosen few can be a better discussion than a popular discussion. Maybe your topics cannot be appreciated by anyone else than a hand-picked elite of members ? So, why are you complaining ?

Who else are you having intimate discussions with on here? Do I have to go get HWG so we can find out who else you are getting intimate with?

If you only posts questions, then there really isn't much to discuss. If you start a topic for discussion, however, then you are likely to draw in more people as there are many more ways to answer, and it can be taken in different directions. Also, if you comment back to the responders on your discussions, then they will be more likely to respond to you in the future. Many are here to discuss and find it frustrating when there is no interaction with the original poster of the discussion.

Hi PA! I do know myth and he is usually good about commenting back but I think one of the down falls is that he is not usually around after starting a discussion, therefore, it continually will sit in the tab, being pushed further and further where it is no longer visible. See he was saying he only gets a few responses and when he comes back and sees that thus far it is two pages, will he be surprised. lol But yes, that is what I usually recommend is that though many may not have time, they should keep in mind that when they start discussions to allow ample time so they can continually keep the discussion flowing and one would be surprised on how it continually goes to the recent tab.

Questions DO 'leave a blank to be filled' but I agree that my questions should be more-open ... should not have so much 'one right answer' as 'multiple opinions with multiple reasons each could be right'

Not sure as to why they are not overflowing. But one thing I do notice is that when you ask for answer and someone answers then for me it is not wise to respond as I perhaps may duplicate. Therefore, as to like look like I am only out to post for the sake of posting, I perhaps may fore go the question. Unless of course there is something I can add to the discussion and or question. lol

hi hwg and myth why not forgo the questions and make a discussion that we all can add to like some problem in life either yours or other peoples that you come across and wonder what our take is on it? I do get on the average at least 20 resposes up to 96 so do like I so pick out something personal that has bu gged you and show your thoughts on it and ask for others take.

Hi Mrs. Hatley I do the same, though mine are so few I usually post about day to day and personal issues. As I commented with below is that, and won't forget how you told me early on during my early days here. That the more I responded to others discussions the more I would be easily be remembered and more likely to get responses.

Friend some time it is difficult to response every discussion because the time is less and other work is also important but some time if our topic is not good then the mylotter is not interested for responding. But I will open your profile and response to your discussion now.

Hello Friend Here's the first response. Maybe your friends still have not seen your discussion. But do not worry I'll meet you any where. However Mylon is so extensive there are so many discussions and so many users. Good luck and nice day!

I was wondering that myself. I went to put some more friends on my friend list because well, there must be a dearth of singers and people interested in learning a new language other then English here. It is not as if I started a discussion in a new i interest called "People who loved Hitler," in that I would expect no responses.

It looks like you've hit the jackpot with this one! I think a lot of it has to do with timing plus it's now summertime in the US and Europe so I think that always means more people are outside doing other things rather than being on myLot. Just keep om posting and you'll come up with something that brings a crowd! Annie

I find most of your questions and discussions are not really interesting and they are very hard to respond to. And with them being so short most of the time, some of them just don't make much sense to me. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I can't help you. Have a great weekend!!!

I guess it is the fact that you are very shallow when it comes to coming up with topics. Most of them I just look at the first line then go on to the next email. I realize that you have some issues that cause you problems at times, but some of the topics feel like they are coming from a five year old or something.

Look at you go! There are a lot more than any three responses on this one! I think that interests are pretty important too..like one responder said. I also think that content is important..alot of your discussions have parables and underlying meanings..I think that sometimes people are afraid to answer things like that because they are afraid they are not answering the core question.

What is the question? Only if we know the question can we answer. Only a few people like me can write on anything that we see or hear. If u give a topic that others like or topics with which more people are comfortable u may get more responses. Sometime current affairs related discussion may get good response. have a nice day.

Well sometimes like others have said, it could be because of the type of discussions you might start, or the amount of different discussions you choose to start each day, and the time of day you are starting them. I know that as busy of a life I lead I do have days where I really more active than others, but I do try and catch some I missed.

Hello myth, Well, i am sorry to read this, i didn't realize you were expecting a lot of responses from you're discussion. to be honest, i have no idea why they are not responding to you're discussion. HELL, i have no clue why am getting TOO MANY responses that sometimes it bleeding my brains out here's the reason why i wasn't around in YOUR discussions. one, i am having a hard time commenting on responses that are way beyong my Intellectual Quotient. two, i have trouble making my own discussions because i need to comment first
