Do a little dance...

July 11, 2011 1:37pm CST
...make a little love, get down tonight! Feeling really good right now because, after one of the worst months in ages last month, I just invoiced three different clients for a total of over $650 of work. Woohoo! I am now going to charge downstairs and do a little dance, which will no doubt make my lady explode with laughter (especially if I wiggle me bits and bobs). What's made you want to do a little dance today?

Actually, what made me dance today (in my slow, plodding way) was that, yesterday, I fell in a stinky, 6 foot deep ditch WITH my bike. I came home somewhat shaken (and with a VERY hurt pride! ... I was lucky that someone happened along to help me and the bike out). This morning, I am recovered (and not too stiff, either), so I can do the sort of dance that lobsters do when they quadrille.

The one I invested in is an electric one. It's actually more of a scooter but it does have pedals and can't go more than 15 miles an hour, so it's a 'pedal cycle' as far as the regs go. You might call it cheating but I call it mobility because my lungs and other bits are not really up to strenuous exercise any longer. $650 should get you a reasonable machine ... it might even go some way towards electric assistance (useful for hills and headwinds).

Keep a look out for second-hand machines. Regard it as a 'necessary expense' (because cycling is, after all exercise, a way to get out from under the feet of 'er-indoors' and both an excuse and an incentive for productive thinking.

Ouch! One of the things on my list of stuff to buy when I'm no longer poorer than a church mouse is a bike. I miss cycling, especially in summer. Cycle lane along the beach promenade = excellent!

I was doing a little dance in the swimming pool today. It is super hot and sticky and almost unbearable BUT my parents have what I cannot afford ... a swimming pool. So, I was doing a little dance in the pool, because I got to swim for exercise and to cool off while still being able to enjoy the beautiful weather ... well, it was beautiful from the inside of the pool anyway. Plus, I like dancing and swimming. My little one is getting better in the water, too, so she was doing her own little dance, because she was able to motor around in her floatie without Mommy helping her today.

Call it "Aquaerobics" instead - very, very good for you (and very tiring). That's great news for the little lady! Swimming's a really neat skill to have, especially on hot days. I'm gonna do another little dance for her...

Awww, thank you for doing a little dance for my little one - that is so sweet! She is so proud of herself that she is already talking about going swimming today and all the "tricks" that she is going to show me that she can do. I guess that I had better get off of here and get my butt in the pool before she explodes with excitement!

Thank you for the honor of best response. So have you received any of the money yet that you sent out the invoices for? Did you get to do anything special with the money (if you have received it) or did it all have to go towards bills? I can understand if it did have to go towards bills, especially with the economy these days, but sometimes it is nice to be able to do something special at least once in a while, so I hope that you will be able to do that soon.

How I wish I had an expected pay check to dance to as well but for now I am all into rain dance. Its the beginning of monsoon here and sky is always full of clouds. Some just keep the sun away while other downpour like anything from a few droplets to heavy rains. Nice to know you are back with business :)

Ohh, I love rain. My lady hates it (and so does the cat) but I love listening to it, watching it and even standing outside in it. I'm such a hippy.

This morning I got an offline message from my mom telling me that my dad wants to shoulder my baby's monthly immunization expenses! Yahoooo!!! I'm really happy coz my baby's immunization costs A LOT, like more than a college tuition. Just the past 3 months alone, it already cost us 16,500 pesos (about 360 dollars), which is as good as 5 months of rent! And we still have 7 months to go! So I'm really really happy that my dad offered to shoulder it. It really made my day. Stress reliever!

That's wonderful - parents can be so cool sometimes. I guess it makes up for all the times they told us to clean up our bedrooms when we were teenagers...!!

I feel for you! I too had something jovial to share. Last night I had a blast celebrating my 3rd monthsary with my boyfriend. For the past few weeks before, our relationship had gotten into rocks because of some "inner issues" that i have. I thought things could be better handled if I broke up with him. Gratefully though, he stood by me and had been extra patient. Now I am glad to say that I have overcome my inner struggles and learned to appreciate his presence in my life. Anyway, last night we had dinner together. Afterwards, we just hang out and talk..talk..talk. I am so glad to have last night. At 2 AM he had to bid goodbye because he need to travel for work. Nonetheless, last night was splendid!

I want to dance for a great morning! I didn't get up at six for exercise but I chose to breakfast at big refectory for having more walks in my company yard, and it's the first time I breakfast there. normally in my meal time only some staffs there, but today I met a lot students and teachers and the meal choices there is much more than it in the small refectory? what's more, the price there is cheap and I can get a ninty discount.

Excellent. I remember "discovering" breakfast at University (actually after a really long night of partying and not sleeping at all...) and it sounds similar. Nice food, great company and cheap, too. After that I made it to breakfast a lot more frequently than I had before!

Wow!! $650 would be something worth dancing about, and hope things are still going Good for you in this realm. Today was actually not too bad of day for me. Been seeing a lot of good things happening with my Online/Offline business and that is quite promising. Trying to even figure out a way to have a little get together of some sort come around April or so. As for Health well it is continuing to improve so that is a definate plus as well.

Very nice, Spike (and I don't blame you for posting!) Is this a 'milestone', however?

... or is it a 'poll'?

Maybe it's a polling milestone. I've given up trying to figure out what anything is at the moment.

well spike, like the saying goes, 'better late than never'. so let me congratulate you on the new clients that you got for your business. hopefully, there will be more as the year goes by. as for me, i spent a good full two days with my lovely daughter without interruption from work so i'm very happy with that. we got a chance to bond together. i taught her new games and songs and we got a chance to just hang out and let the days idly go by. sweeeeetttttt!!!!! spending quality time with my daughter deserves a little strut as well. come to think of it, i'll go share the dance with her later when i get home. cheers!!!

Well congratulations Spike(Though I don't wanna watch your dance :P). Wish you more success in future(even more if you pay me commission). Well I didn't feel like dancing today as it was too hot to handle here, but I also sometimes do feel the joy that drives towards doing an insane dancing performance that would make Michael Jackson's soul cry in horror. Hope those moments keep coming frequently. Cheerio!

I think everyone have a reason to dance, the need is to find that reason. I got my shift change yesterday, from night shift to day so I rested for while and slept to my full content. I also posted my maximum numbers of response in a day in Mylot till today. So I got my highest earning of a day in here.
