I lost my money =(

Earlier, I went to visit our on going constructed house. I bought a bag with my digital camera and 500 pesos so that I could stop by at the grocery store and buy some food. I was so confident to put my money at my back pocket only to realize later on that there's a hole. I lost my 500 pesos (equivalent to almost $12). I was sooooooo furious that I wanted to cry. When I arrived at my apartment, the first thing I did was do my laundry. Then washed the dishes. Swept and did some cleaning on the cabinets. General cleaning all the way. By the time I was almost finished, I laughed. Because I let out all my frustration to cleaning. Not bad though. My place is clean. Cleaning can be therapeutic. Don't worry. I got over with my clumsiness. I have to sew those back pockets later to avoid a repetition of what has happened today. I just hope that whoever has found my money will use it for good. Blessed Sunday to all, lotters.

Oh that's just sad! I have felt the same before, but unlike yours, mine is quite traumatic. I put my money in my backpack pocket then went to the mall and found a sale. I was lining up to pay for the items that I bought, then suddenly, I felt that there was a pull on my bag, then the person behind me left. Instinctively, I reached for my backpack pocket and saw that the zipper was unzipped and my money was gone. I think the person was able to steal around $45-$50. Good thing I had some slipped money inside my wallet. It was really sad. I saved that money for myself and someone took it from me. I was too shaken to report anything anymore, I just went home and cried. Nowadays, whenever I have money, I never put it anywhere reachable. I always put it in tight spots where it's difficult for even me to get them. Then I would always make sure to check once in a while. I think that event taught me to be cautious all the time. Anyhow, I just hope that however got our money needed it so bad that it would be okay for them to do so. But still, it's wrong. Have a great MyLot experience!

Me, too. I always put my money on my secret pocket in jeans or if it's in my bag, like it's impossible to be found.

hi totally undecided oh yes house cleaning can be therapeutic. I remember as a new bride I was upset over something my new hubby did,now years later I only remember it was something really silly, but I did not wane time I had lunch ready he called me on the phone. Whatever it was tht to have that first quarrel so I did the laundry, like you, rearranged all the kitchen cabinets, swept the floor, vacuumed the floor, and by that time what I was upset about, he just explained on the phone, I remember I told him how upset I was that I totally cleaned the house. We both laughed about it. I am truly sorry you lost your money.thats never any fun.but maybe someone who was totally ready to give up found it and decided it has changed their luck.

Yes, Hatley. It was therapeutic and productive in one so it was a good healing experience for the loss of my money. I just hope that it's mandatory to put all your frustrations in life through cleaning than in violence.

Why sew it? Do you have a back up wallet or something else new instored there? to be honest, five hundred pesos is a lot of money. you're lucky that you got a job now that could compensate for future money loss. I'd be depressed and furious if I lost 12$, that's already load of big bucks if it's in pesos.. Just be careful nextime.

Well, at least you didn't waste your time destroying things...that would have been not-so-pretty scenario. Over the years, I have been loosing some amount of money and I despair every time it happens (it is money an d it doesn't grow on trees). People keep telling me to take good care of it and I did by buying a wallet which basically the only place where i keep my money, except for my secret stash for emergencies. Anyway, I console myself every time that I lose an amount of money, I will work harder and keep my eye on those bill and maybe spend them rather than being stolen by some kid to use for his own purposes. I do hope that the person who picked your money will at least thank you anonymously.

True. I know money is always hard earned but dealing it in a way were it would just worsen the situation makes it much more worse than what you have just encounter. I have a wallet but chose not to bring it at that time for it wont fit my my sling bag. Anyway, lesson learned though.

It's so frustrating when we lose money, no matter how much we lost, is always bad. Specially, when we already had plans for the money. But, probably you made someone very happy, because the best thing is to find money that you did not expected.

I check my clothes for holes every so often to avoid that problem because I have seen that happen to other people before. I kind of feel bad when people lose their money like that, but you have to be vigilant when it comes to your money.

Oh that's sad but after all what happened you managed to clean your clean and do that general cleaning.. Atleast you forgot for awhile that you've lost that kind of money. Php 500 is hard to earn nowadays, but the most important thing.. "You learned from it". next time bring your wallet or purse with you so you and most especially if you have a pocket check on every time you go out.. Take care my friend...

Well it is a good thing that it wasn't even more money then that! I'm sorry you lost that money to begin with but it could have been much more money. Glad you were able to get your frustrations out by cleaning, and now you have a cleaner home and a sweeter disposition!

Well, just charge it to experience, you know most of my pants also have torn pockets or hemlines, i cannot find time really to sew them. Sometime i put safety pins before going to work since i am already in a hurry. There are times i use masking tapes to hold it in place. On weekends no matter how i budget my time i could not allot few minutes for sewing. Anyway, in your case maybe you should not put money in your pockets anymore.

hi there! Though you have lost your money, you earned a clean home. Its a better way of expressing your frustration rather than express it in an angry manner. Well, keep your money safe and be sure not to lose it. For me, I keep them in a wallet(everything inside it) so I have a generic place to search for money. Furthermore, if I do lose it, it would be easier to feel that you lost sth and can gain it back quickly. Well, just my 2 cents. Good day anyway and enjoy mylotting!

I too clean the house when i'm angry...usually the kitchen cupboards because i hate that job. Cleaning helps me not to think about why I was angry. Now that I live alone, it's not so bad...I don't become angry anymore. Sorry that you lost your money, you were probably hungry too. I hope you have sewn those pockets now.

There have actually been a couple of times in my life where I've lost my money. The first time that I can think of was when I was in middle school and my money was stolen out of my purse when I was on a school trip. The other time that I lost my money was when I was in college and I had money that had fallen out of my pocket. It really isn't a good experience to lose your money, but it is something that we are able to learn from in my experiences.

I am sorry you lost your money as I know how disappointing and sad I would get when I loose and or misplace money. I am glad you took your frustration out on cleaning as a clean house for me certainly sparks my mood and gets me in a better mood. Hopefully what you lost will benefit someone and maybe someday you too will be blessed with finding some much needed money.

U are a positive person, that's one good point about u. There's no point in crying over spilled milk, because it's gone. Instead of being frustrated over it, think of it as helping others with the money lost, a form of charity. All u need to do now is to check through all your laundry, prevent any loopholes for charity to take action on their own, against u.

I'm sad for you.I totally know the feeling because it also happened to me once. I almost cry in despair. At least, we learned our lesson to be more careful next time. Your way of releasing your sadness is also good. Have a nice day!!
