Self Talk.

We all practice self talk, and if we stop to examine what we are saying most of the time,we would discover the reason for what we are experiencing. Many people never have enough money, are always unhappy, are always fighting with their spouse or their children etc, etc, because they are constantly telling themselves so, and have probably been doing so for years. Of course it isn't just self talk either, most people know or have known someone who loves to tell anyone who will listen, just how unhappy or how sick they are. I'm convinced that most of us would see an improvement in or life, if we just changed the way we think and talk. Do you agree?

Hi Pose: I definetly agree with your statement. When we just take negativity to our lives that is what we are going to get, period. So we better take care of our words, our thoughts and the conversations we have. I have experimented this feeling, when we just think about our problems and the things we don't like, we can't see the beauty things around us and that's really sad. ALVARO

For sure. I have just suffered a few months with panic anxiety disorder and self talk is one of the things the therapist taught me to do when I am not feeling calm along with other techniques and exercises. So I do believe that positive self talk can make a positive impact on our lives that can do good for our minds and bodies.

Human life is Spiritual first, and Physical second. This means that health and happiness begins in the head,(Spiritual) and ends up in the body (Physical). It makes perfect sense to get your Spiritual (thoughts) together, and decide how you want to live your life(physical.) Which will you choose, sick and Unhappy, or Joyful and Healthy?

It's always your choice, you carry your energy body with you and every time you so much as think a thought you past that energy to others. If the primary thought and speech is negative this is what you send out and what you will attract. So many of us are totally unaware of the energy field we live in that we take no time to examine our thoughts and our habits. A person who is ill does themselves no good to center their whole life around that illness, while the person that puts that illness in it's place and goes on with a positive attitude toward life, may not extend their life but will certianly have more happiness in the life they have. Blessings

Hi savypat, You have put it very well and I agree. I have a nephew who is in constant pain, but one would never know it as he does talk about it unless asked. Sometimes he will have to take medication or do some stretching exercises and he's told me that he often has to sleep in unusual positions, but he makes it sound simple. I've always admired his ability to put a positive slant on everything. Thanks for responding. Blessings.

I know that!! I used to be sick all the time a long time ago until I noticed that it was exactly what I was saying. So now I keep saying that I win a lot of money instead of what I used to say and it should start working soon now !!! So in answer to your question, I DO agree 100%!!

I always try to see the good in everyone and everything. I'm always up for solving problems or finding new options for improvements. When things do not work out well I always evaluate it to see what went wrong. I'm always open for new opportunities. I think everybody should have a loving concern for everyone. See the positive in each day. Have a heart and mind of profoundly gratitude for the good in their lives of people. We should be ready to forgive and overcome. Life is a like a fragile thread. We never know what tomorrow brings.

Lately, I discovered my mom is a self - talk person, along with her age, she is getting into talking to herself most of the time. I just couldn't help but laugh sometimes. I would ask her who she talk to, and she told me to mind my own business. Now, it became her habit when she is not talking to me or my father. She would washing dishes and talking to herself.

Hi kingparker, Thank you for sharing but we all talk to ourselves, not aloud of course as your mother does, but we all do it and it's either positive or negative. Think about it. Blessings.

I guess, self talk is important to us. It gives us a way of evaluating of what makes us fail in whatever things we do. From the evaluation, we could already be guided on the next things we are going to undertake in life, thus minimizing mistakes.

I do not get your question correctly. Can you ask the question in a straight forward manner so that anyone can easily understand what you are saying.

Hi naija4real, Stowyk is right. The discussion is about how we create what we experience by our thoughts and our thinking. If you say I know I'm going to have a headache in the morning, you probably will. We should try changing our thoughts and our speech from negative to positive, than we will find that life can be better. Blessings.

I have had my moments of self doubt. One thing I have learned is always try to stay poisitive and to believe in your self.If you don't believe in your self no one will believe in you either.I do self talk all the time to stay focused and be happy.
