Hello Lotters, Let me tell you in ALL honesty I Don't though I see them every morning in the chair after my mom has read them. I usually watch Television for watching the News, though am no longer able to watch the morning Local morning news because I woke up late in the morning. Except this afternoon where my mom lend her friend a help because she wanted to talked to another friend through abroad Via Skype. So, from there i got bored I decided to read the news paper even though I don't want to. First off, it's all bad news and controversial but there are some good news that probably share it later in some discussions. But All in all it's really nice to read a news paper, even if it's just a few sections. Comment you Later and have a nice day.

It's been a long time since I last read newspaper!! I get all the news thee days from the new channel or the internet. I actually find reading the newspaper very boring though I know it's a good habit to read it. Anyway before I used to read newspapers but only the comic strips and the horoscopes caught my attention and the puzzles and the celebrity gossips LOL

hi thatgirl! i'm a big fan of comic strips as well but a bigger fan of crossword puzzles. i remember the summer after i graduated from college, one of my past times was answering crossword puzzles. i got so good at it that i was able to complete a couple. it was a good practice in my opinion as it improved my vocabulary immensely and increased my analytical and critical thinking.

Hello THat girl, well, if the internet and television is your access then that's fine. but in the end, when television and internet is no longer available then newspaper printing is the best way to put it when it comes giving out news. before the time of electricity and internet, newspapers had been the best source of news. Have a nice day to you.

Hello aerous, Tv news are merely updates on what years to come and not really something that we do read every single day. besides, news in the television are exaggerated and givin us heads up nothing compare to the print media newspaper. well, have a nice day.

Hi! I do read newspapers but not everyday. When I see a newspaper, I try to read them. But I'm not really the type who will search for a newspaper every morning. I used to read newspapers everyday back when I was working in Manila. It was part of my work so I had to do it. I had to clipped news about our work so I had to read at least four different newspapers a day. But when I got transferred, I did not have to do it anymore. Thank God! I was beginning to hate the smell of the newspapers. But I still read them when I have the chance. It's good to read once in a while. Every news is not seen on tv after all.

Hello secretbear, Most definitely like me as well it's not easy to just read the whole article. I agree that there is more to tell in the news paper, unfortunately most youth today prefers the internet more rather than the usual print paper. my nephew read news papers, but only when he looks for comics and articles for kids. have a nice day

i don't usually read newspapers. i mostly get the news from the internet and on tv. i read local newspaper when i wish to see the broader story of the news i saw on tv if it happens to be not available on the internet. i read newspapers when i am out of the computer, if i happen to be in the bank and there are lots of clients, to waste time while waiting for my turn.

Hello Neildc, Yes indeed the news paper tells it all but most of us are preoccupied with different things. as for me, i am more on concentrated in online earning still. well, if we do go in a place and then we tend to feel we need to wait, the newspaper is a best to conquer our boredom. have a nice day my friend.

HI LK! Yes I read them daily. My days is empty without newspaper~Hhehe(^^) Even if there are news on TV and internet I still found that newspaper is still convenient. Back to my college days, I should not have to buy news paper because I can read them online but I chose to buy them. Perhaps it's already my routine. Newspapers are still more attractive then online news.haha!!(^^)

31 Jul 11
Hello CThanum, Well, newspapers can't be just thrown away since internet is just a medium use for communication and newspaper is really something that can be disabled. sometimes I wonder, how can people from the lower parts of the country with no line or electricity can get some news with out the newspaper? have a nice day.

Hello gtdonna, It's cool that you don't have to spend that much to buy a news paper because you got yourself a company that you work for and they provide a news paper for free. But i wonder, is it updated for some reason? well, it never hurts reading it in the first place even though it's not barely new. have anice day.

Hello tash01, Yes, that's one convinience that we have when ever there is internet because we can read them online. though the effort there is search for the article first, it's less hassle and a lot more easy compare to looking for the past news in the newspaper on your stock room or basement. have a nice day and thank you.

I get the news from all outlets including the internet, TV, radio, newspapers. written publication, etc. I'm a voracious reader so I like newspapers and the ability to speedily shift between current events, sports, finance, human interest pieces, editorials, etc. in whatever order I choose. I can't do that using my PC or smart phone. So for me, newspapers provide a compendium of news and information of every source and type at my fingertips.
• Philippines
31 Jul 11
Hello lawdude, That's a very informative response coming from you. maybe the internet source can be convinient or the tv news can be entertaining, but it never beats the complete and detailed information that is completely coming from the news paper and you even get to keep it when needed for reference. have a nice day and thank you.

I normally get my new online nowadays, then again I was never into newspapers to beigin with! But the papers have some news that are not posted/published online, which made me think about reading the papers. I have been trying to do so for quite some time now, but I just couldn't do so somehow! But I will make the extra effort to make use of them somehow...
• Philippines

Hello shattered, you can always collect news papers if there's no available internet connection or tv news. there shouldn't be a lack of interest in news papers because a lot of people doesn't have access to internet or television. dont' worry you will get a chance to use them, like selling them to junk shop.

+1 on being in love with pugad baboy! i actually met the artist for this comic strip. his sister is in a band that plays in the old 'cats' club in shangrila makati. the name of the band is fat session and one of their female lead vocalist is actually the inspiration for the pugad baboy character 'tiny'. believe it or not, all of the characters in the comic strip are inspired by real life persons. it was one of the gigs of fat session that i chanced upon pol medina jr. in the bar so i went up to him and introduced myself. fun times!!!

Back when I was still at my parent's home I would always read the newspaper. But now that I am living on my own, I don't anymore because I don't buy newspapers anymore. However, when I read the newspapers, I only read the sprts and comics sections. But I am also interested with the business parts too. I really don't care about the headliners and front pages as they are most likely bad news or political news. I hate those topics. I only pay attention to those headlines when they are good news.

Hello Agent, I don't read much about stocks, when it comes to business I just look at the latest exchanges of peso to dollar. Only about the NCAA or the UAAP where I just read the news paper.as for comics, I don't read that much comics any more except if i encounter some pugad paboy strips. have a nice day.

Yeah! Pugad Baboy comic strips rocks on Philippine Daily Inquirer newspapers. However, if my parent's end up buying The Philippine Star newspaper, I look forward for the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip especially during the Sunday issues. So you are a fan of basketball eh? NCAA and UAAP games don't excite me that much because my university doesn't play well in its league basketball games. Yes, I do look at the Peso-US dollar exchange rate too.

It's been since quite a long time that I have kept it as a habit of reading the newspapers, first thing in the morning. There would be some amount of uneasiness if the day"s newspaper is not around in the early morning.

Hello sukumar, Yup, first thing in the morning and most of the time we weren't even seeing the person who delivers them. It's only rare that I see the delivery person because it's really too early in the morning and i always wake up late. anyways, it's nice that i see some one reading news and not exactly news print paper. have a nice day.

I tend to read the headlines in the newspaper and perhaps the first paragraph, but I don't find anything very encouring in today's news papers so tend to just skip through them in favour of more positive things in life. Same with TV news. Everything it seems it problematic these days. _Derek.

Every so often I'll read my local newspaper. However, not in its print format but online with my local newspaper's website. I'll usually just skim through the headlines to see if anything catches my eye. Usually I do like to check out the police blotter section of my town's newspaper to see what's going on in that side of life locally.

I love reading newspapers. though I tend to read them more online now, than the print copy, though I do still buy them sometimes, as it more fun to sit with a cup of coffee in an armchair and read a newspaper you are holding, than read on a computer, I find I miss interesting stories just reading online. I think maybe it depends on what newspaper your mother reads. when we were young my parents always read a serious newspaper called the guardian, but my grandmother always bought tabloid newspapers, and when we went to visit her we would all rush to read the rubbish tabloid newspapers, as we were too young to read the guardian. a serious newspaper can be harder to access. there have been periods of time when i haven't regualarly read a newspaper, and when i have gone back i have found I was out of touch with what was going on, and it took a while to get back into the ongoing news stories. If you want to start reading you have to expect, on the first few occasions, that you will read stories that you haven't been following and you won't properly understand them, because you haven't followed them. but once you start following them you start understanding them. it is a good think to know what politicians are up to, I recommend reading newspapers.
