" I Don't Regret Anything I Do."

A football player said this sentence when asked if he were going to apologize to his teammate for a tweet he made. He also said he will not apologize for his opinion. He didn't kill anybody or rape anybody....I must confess I am proud of him not backing down from a statement he sees as truthful. But That sentence " I don't regret anything I do", got me thinking. Can Anyone say this and Really mean it? Not me.What I can say is I haven't been so shy that I haven't apologized about an action I didn't Mean to do. But I Can also say I have never apologized Just to be polite either, If I meant to hurt , I will not lie about it Just for appearances! Do you know Anyone who can say they have no regrets?

It is not always the right attitude to adopt. We are all human beings and prone to making errors, either by words or deeds."i dont regret anything i do" smacks to ego and arrogance. To be curt and polite its necessary to repent once a while

I never apologized either. I am not an apologetic person. If I have something to say I will just say it. If it hurts your feelings, then Oh well. Why I say that is because when I say something, I don't say it for no reason. I always have a reason why I say something, even if I don't verbalize the reason. I always stick by what I say, good bad or indifferent.

I don't regret anything I do. I may make mistakes and feel sorry for them but no regrets.

I know a lot of people on here in discussions have said they wouldn't go back and change anything, because their experiences made them who they are. But they all had regrets. It's just that hopefully they learned from those things.

I am one of them. The one thing I regret I didn't Say , my eyes must have said because the result was what I wanted. But every other mistake or misstep has made me who I am and that's who my guy fell for. Plus I like The Sarah I am now . But I do have regrets.

It is actually refreshing to hear athletes speak their minds. Usually, they are handed out a script that they memorize, and just automatically say when put in situations. A script that has been polished a few times before given to the athletes. But as far a being human is concerned, I think nobody can really say that they don't have any regrets. Athlete or not.

hi sarahbethruth no I really dont as we are humans and we all err at one time or another. I know I have regrets when I h ave lost my temper and I now wish I had handled it differently so I think all mankind are alike in that none of us are perfect, we all have some fa ults of some kind,

I think that no matter how hard we try to live without regrets..there are going to be one or two at least..lol. Life is funny like that and people change over time. Maybe something they did then that they felt ok with..well..they look back after an experience or two and think..wow...maybe I wasn't so right after all. I am the same way as far as standing up for what I say...unless I know that I am wrong. Or find out later I was out of line. I have no problem apologizing if I know I'm wrong but if not...I'll die first.

Hi behen Well, I always am a kind of person who thinks that way and many a times I dont regret. I have a weird logic - when I did a thing, I did it knowing almost everything about it and even enjoyed doing it that time... now, today, if anything goes wrong I must accept the fact and also realize that I enjoyed doing it then. So why regret now...

Hi Bhai! Did Bahu like her card? That's different. If you did you best , with the best resources you had at the time , why have regrets. But I know you Bhai. If you accidentally hurt someone saying or doing something , you would regret it! ps. I hope you are al settled in and that Bahu had a great birthday. Keep in touch.

Well I do, and those are my friends who believe they're right. For example, one of my friends had a misunderstanding with a total stranger, and they had a real argument that time. The lady wanted my friend to apologize, but my friend didn't want to, as she knew (and I support her) that she didn't do anything wrong to her.

Maybe if I was an immortal, who has lost touch with the limitations and short life spans of humans, then maybe I could say this. I would have all the time in the world. I could forget and maybe even reach the point of not caring. However I am mortal. So is every other human being in this world. We are not perfect and we are limited. We all make mistakes, and we will all have regrets. Furthermore we all have emotions which leads to anger, guilt and yes regret. If one person says they can live without regrets, then they are lairs of non-humans. An imperfect, emotional being can not live a regret free life.
