I told everyone here that I would keep you guys posted on my move. We are here in Alabama now and I LOVE it!! Everyone was right. I am glad I made the move. Right now we are staying with family members for a couple weeks to go house hunting which is a little hard but the atmosphere and the scenery in this state is incredible! I think we will be much happier here... =) So, have you had to stay with family? How did it go? Did you make a move that you were nervous about but then it turned out to be wonderful?

Oh that's great I'm happy to read that the move went nicely for you and you are happy that's good news. As for moving I spend a large portion of my childhood and adult life moving around and it wasn't always fun, but I'm thankful that I got the chance to travel a bit and now I'm settled and in the future my trips will be more for fun and not somthing I'll have to do.

I see that will be something you and your hubby can look forward too I the other hand I dread moving anywhere else growing up I couldn't keep friends because my family and I were constantly movie and every-time I got use to a place or town it was time to leave again so no thanks to moving, and yes to a quick vacation because it's no fun not having one place to call home don't get me wrong I'm still grateful for the traveling I did, but it was sometimes very hard for me, and my family yeah there was fun times but there was also lost luggage and other priceless things that I can't get back, but that's life My folks are musicians and that was the big reason for all the travel.

Yes I had to stay with family before and in my case it turned into a nightmare. The couple months turned into over two years and by then one would think I belonged in a insane hospital, because I was losing it, I couldn't bear being with his family that long..If it wasn't for his mother dying and his sister and her daughter, (it was his sister's home) moving in with his dad for a while, I may have ended up in one..

First off, I'm glad that you are liking the move, and your new state. Also, I am happy that you're full of optimism. I've had to live with family before. Initially I thought it was just for a few weeks, which turned out into a few months. It was OK at first, until I couldn't stand it anymore. I don't feel at ease when I am not in my own place. But being uncomfortable there for a long time just made our move really wonderful when we finally did it.

awww hi!! i'm really happy for you and i'm so glad you are happy for the move!! see, you really had nothing to worry about in the end! staying with family isn't so bad, atleast you get to get your bearings etc, without being lonley, because obviously while your husband is at work, you would have been on your own with the kids. atleast now, you have people around you until you get comfortable where you are and are fine to go about on your own :)

Yes I lived with family a couple of times. One with my ex and it was just horrible and the other was with my parents. I was divorced and I think anything was better than what I had before. I was with them for three years and the first two were wonderfull. I am glad I moved out and now have an apartment with my hubby. I tell you what we apreaciate what we have a lot more and love it. Three months we have been here and it may not be "great" in some eyes it's a step up!

I'm glad that you are liking it there. I hope you get settled soon. Anyway, I did lived with my grandparents before, but I was too young to really think about anything else except enjoying summer there. It was one of the greatest summer vacation of my life.

hi LovingMy Babies wow I am so glad you really love it and the move is all over. have fun house hunting. I have heard that Southern people are really very hospitable. Its wonderful that you really love Alabama . I have seen some pictures and its surely a most scenic state. I have never had to stay with family while we hunted for an apartment as we married older in life so my parents and his did not have much to say about our hunting for an apartment to live in.His sister did come and visit us twice and we had a lot of fun showing her around. So good luck in finding the house you want and God Bless and keep you all very happy.

Hi, nice to hear that your enjoying your initial experiences in your new home. I will pray that you still feel that way when your writing from your own place. Staying with family is always nice at first and if things go well, you will not overstay your welcome. The times I have tried to relocate were like that at first. I tried that 3 times in my life. Once upstate new york, next Texas, and last Puerto Rico. My problem was that i was a die hard New Yorker and never truly adjusted to the new places so i always winded up going back to the bronx. On the other hand, i know of many individuals that have tried relocating and some work out while others don't. Positive attitude is the key here. Stick to your goal and don't overstay your welcome and everything should work out just fine. My prayers are with you.

Glad you are safe and very happy. Hope good fortunes come your way. I personally have not moved anywhere to what may seem a permanent location for me.I've been venturing out trying to figure out myself and the world. Still very uncertain, the only thing keeping me at one location is school, but during off seasons like summer, I've been travelling, just cannot stay at one location without learning at the moment. But glad, your happy in your new location. Cheers.

What a surprise! I live in the great state of Alabama too! It is quite beautiful here. The only bad thing here is the humidity! Dang it gets hot! Do you live in the top, middle, or bottom of the state? Maybe I could tell you of some cool places to check out. Glad you like it here.
