You know how little kids will jump up and down and dance and make faces or grab themselves if they have to go but can't.... Soooo, what do adults do? What do YOU do if you have to go but you can't because - there's a huge line, you are driving in the car, you're a passenger in the car, etc? Do you hide your discomfort from the public or does everybody know you have to go and how bad? LOL!

It's been a while since I have been in that situation. Trapped in a place not near a bathroom. I think that there are times where it really depends. Holding it in is obviously not going to be a good idea. It is going to really lead to a lot of health issues and many problems if you try and fight it. However, there are just going to be many times where you are really going to have to hold it. I have been in that situation and it is not pleasant. Ten minutes might as well be ten hours when you need to go use the facilities. I think that it is actually worse when you are driving or in a car, than standing still. The best way to really try and hold it is to stand completely still and not have any forward movement or move rather slowly. When you're going about forty, fifty miles per hour in the car, that's going to increase the fight. I'm just glad I am not in this situation too often.

While I'm in the house I tend to be back and forth from the toilet alot, when out i don't tend to go unless I really need to as I don't like using public toilets so I tend also to watch what I drink as well. If I have to go I do I go.

Ha ha I think i am able to contain myself when i have to go. often i can still bear long travels without troubles. :D i remember my boyfriend though one time that he said he needed to go and then i though he was joking. i was sort of rubbing his tummy and hhe said i should not be doing that because it adds to the pain! :D haha

mommyboo well since I am 84 and am on lasx daily I have to go, I really have to go or else so when my roomie has the care giver tol bathe her twice a week I ask them to please let me go first as they have a way of making a simple thing take an ungodly amount of time. Since I naturally do not want to wet the floor I just ask them to let me in and in five minutes they can do the bath thing that goes on for the better part of an hour.when I am in public and have to go I head for the nearest store with large number of stalls and there is no problem. I am not one of those who wear adult diaper things here and go around stenching of stale urine all day. I am perfectly able to go potty as any normal younger person and do.

Easy, I just try to look for other options where I can release the pee. Whenever I am caught by the need to urinate while on travel, I will immediately alight the vehicle just to get to the nearest toilet. But more often than not, I can resist the urge to pee at a decent duration of time suitable enough for me to be able to get through and be in the comforts of a comfort room or toilet. I usually don't show the discomfort at all, but if I am at home, I usually knock the hell out of the person inside the bathroom!

I hold it in, for hours if I need too, just like most women do and hope there are no holes in the road. Only men get out and pee everywhere. Which isn't allowed by law here btw. I don't need to jump since this will make it easier to hold it in. Big problem mostly is the belly pain or worse: kidney pain. And if you hold it in way too long it's hard to get it out if there is a bathroom at last. I never saw my kids jump up and down if they really need too. Now you mentioned it I remember that. Somehow weird? Since I also see kids do that. Perhaps they already too have an other way, just like most adults, to control the muscles differently to hold it in.
