" And I don't have to settle anymore."

This is the punchline/ tag phrase on a pizza commercial but it got me thinking. How many are just settling for things? Me? I rarely settle. I either get what I want, in time, or I stop wanting it . Rarely do I settle for my second choice. With that said I have had my Treasure be taken away and found a better version later. But that is different. Am I just spoiled? I think not going for what you really want is sad, especially if it is just a few dollars more or a few blocks further away. Why not? You may just get it . You thoughts.

I never settle for anything less then what I want. I have always been that way. Also, I never give up. I am like a terminator, at least that's what T says. I know I was through a long marriage that ended bad, but now it's time for me to go back to m original ways. And never look back.

I think this relates to me in my working career. I never settle for what I currently have. I'm never satisfied, and always on the lookout for the 'next' better job. Even though it may take me a few years to jump to another position, I surely am not settling for what I have.

Where work is concerned I'm you polar opposite. I was told about my job , got some know how and on my second interview I got it and I have been there ever since. Many thought i should have advanced but I thought Why? If I wanted nother position , I would have gone for it in the first place.

Oh Sarah... You know I've been like this.. Probably, that is another reason for the downfall... I'd never settled or compromised... I still find it tough to compromise.. Result: I failed to achieve.. I used to be proud of my nature... But now, it feels as if I was wrong... Maybe, I'm still wrong... Maybe nothing is never gonna be right... :-(

Hold It! Are you putting yourself down? No One puts my friends down in my presence! There is nothing wrong with going for what you want. If you settled , would you Truly be happy? I don't think so. Keep being You!

I don't settle.....can't. Even if it's something I want or need....if I can't afford it right away I save up to buy just exactly what I want. If I can't have what I want.....then nope.....don't want it at all!

You are a person who will not take no for an answer. You have a high confidence level which doesn't seem to be knocked down ver often Nothing wrong with that! I am not like that! Alot of the times! I like to give up easy when it comes to things, when my patience is worn thin or my confidence gets shot down.I used to not even try when I was young. You go girl!

Who, me?I have always had the motto , at first you don't succeed, quit! What I don't give up on is dreaming of the things I want. It may take years but I have eventually got it. But I think it was luck and patience.

Yes I do settle I have to settle some times yes a few dollars more you say but those few dollars more goes along way at least for me it makes a huge difference. That extra money means leads baby food or less diapers because I wanted the best. I settle for the cheap stuff that doesn't mean they aren't just as hood or better then the more extensive one. But that is just food wise.

When it comes to food , there are many times when I find the store brand is better than the name brand! I was talking about stuff like some clothes or other products.

yes getting what you want is good, knowing what you want is unreasonable is important too. I am not talking about you Sarah just making a general statement. sometimes just being happy about your choices is what matters for example wanting a 300 dollar pair of shoes may be way out of our league but settling for a nice pair at 100 makes us happy but paying a pair at 10 or going without would not make us happy. there prices for shoes I put doesn;'t make a difference, it is just my example the point I am trying to make is what is important

I agree. I'm so lucky, everything I have wanted has been withing my reach. In fact I found the best walking shoes that were half the price of my regular brand and they last longer!

I agree with you. Over the years, I have learned to either buy good quality for everything from orange juice to business casual pants or simply hold off until I can afford it. You're never as happy as you would be with a good quality item as opposed to a cheap one.

I am not one to want to settle. I go for the things that I want but..that doesn't mean that I always get them..lol. I don't think it make us spoiled not to settle. I have went for a happy medium a couple of times but those are kinda rare. It's hard to find a happy medium.

No I don't think of myself as settling for anything, but sometimes there just isn't enough money for everything we want in life. I try to be content with the things I do have though & focus on that.

I have been very lucky. What I want Is within my means. I may have to wait but eventually I do get it!
