Hi about six months ago, i had this encounter, my neck and shoulder hurts, after a while my breath started to get hard, and my sight started to get dimm. Its so horrible, my sweat feels cold.... My wife and i dont know what to do at that moment because it was the 1st time it happened. I have rushed to sattelite clinic and shocked about the finding that i have a mild heart attack. It was due to my HBP. Yes we are shock considering my last bp check about 1.5 years was normal. So it happened, thanks GOD im still alive. I hate medication so i tried to research alternatives to lower my bp and to prevent heart attack. Im so glad that internet is full of knowledge and got what ive looking for. Just in case your like me just google some of this keyword. 1. Water treatment for hbp 2. Vit. C 3. Vit. E 4. Centrum multivitamins 5. Fish oil most important is exersice and diet any more suggestions are welcome!

My father also has high blood pressure.. This Christmas, I bought him a digital blood pressure monitor because where not really sure how to use the manual that he bought a year ago. He has been hospitalized twice this year, his BP has reached 210/140! Thanks to God, he is alive and safe.

people with high b.p should get their b.p checked atleast one a month.Although b.p fluctuates many a times,it is always safe to keep a digital monitor at home.Since the b.p monitor, digital or manual,is quite easy to use,any member of the family should learn to operate it. The two readings obtained are the systolic and the diastolic pressure readings.Since there are two types of cholestrol, the good LDL and the bad HDL,people with b.p should avoid foods having bad cholestrol as it can clog the arteries of the heart and cause heart attack

My husband's family has high blood on their genes. Hence , he has it too. He is maintaining a medicine for it, and costs very much lesser than the anti-cholesterol pill. Yes, diet , exercise and avoid stressing one's self, can be of help. But i think if you had already an attack, having a maintenance can surely help.

There are some things to add to your diet that will help. Celery and Concord grapes have both been shown to lower blood pressure. Blood pressure runs high when potassium/sodium is out of balance. Usually, there isn't enough potassium to balance the sodium. Apples, bananas and potatoes are good sources of potassium. In one study, hibiscus tea proved to lower blood pressure by as much as 20 systolic points when the subjects drank three cups every day for two weeks. Keeping weight at an optimum level also helps. I struggle with high blood pressure due to kidney disease, so I have done some research, trying to find as many natural ways as possible.

I suggest you try fasting. Do not have anything to eat or drink during the day for 14 hours. Start fasting from 5 am and end your fasting at 18 pm. Start eating again and drink. Make sure you break your fasting with eating easy to digest food first. Also make sure that you have adequate water to drink (eight glasses). At 4:30 am you wake up and eat to prepare for the next fasting. Do it for 10 days. After 10 days'fasting, have yourself medically checked up again to see if there is an improvement.

Hello there dex833! Good thing that you're okay now. I would like to share some few facts about Hypertension. Hypertension is known as the silent killer disease, Some are asymptomatic some are not. Once you were diagnose to have a Hypertension you will have it for the rest of your life. The only way you can do it to prevent it from recurring thru exercise, diet such as the low sodium diet and stay away from stress.

As matter of fact, I suspect myself got high blood pressure also, but I wasn't 100% sure. since I don't go check up regularly, at least once a year. I hope that I am okay, since I am intending to exercise more, and eat less meat as much as possible too.

from the experiences of people who had recovered from high blood pressure, they do a kind of therapy is "not too much thinking" and and less of sleep in the daytime. but I do not know his usefulness - because medically, these therapies have not been proven yet. Hopefully this is useful
