Does Anyone Here?

I am going to have to go back to work soon to get our own place. I already signed up to start college in March. And I am a mommy of 3 children. Does anyone have school, work and young children? Is there a good time management schedule I can get on? Any good advice for a busy mommy? (I am used to staying home with my children but since my husband cannot work due to his injury I have to work).

Hi, Loving, sorry, I cannot give you any technical advice. But I'd like to wish you a lot of courage because your task will not be easy one. But don't give up. This is important not only for the work and earnings. It will be a great chance to express yourself and develop your skills, your knowledge. Try to get your family to help you with the house work, don't overstrain yourself. I'll wait to here good news from you. Good luck!

hi lovingMyBabies oh wow so you will have to go back to work, and this comes now with your college courses too. i am wondering I was not in your situation but I was in my thirties when i first went to junior college and I met some moms who were taking night classes so their hubbies could watch the kids. one told me she worked days'but she had her time planned on the weekends to do her lessons and oddly she was also enrolled in early child care too.I believe she did finish her course and went into working at an exclusive daycare center for people with more money. I don't know what happened to the others but she was very happy and it worked well for her too.good luck and God bless hugs from hatley

Yeah its going to be very challenging but God helps those that help themselves. I will see if I can take night courses. That would work. I am going to be working at a daycare while going to college.

hi more power to you. That sounds really neat being a kindergarten teacher, and they are so sweet at that age, so huggable. I still laugh remembering our son when we took him to kindergarten and waited to see his teacher, the teacher was filling in as his real teacher was out ill.He looked at her and blurted out"You are not my teacher" I did not know whether to laugh or cry.She laughed and said to Me"gosh I hope they don't all say that." But he soon took to her as she was very personable and was used to little ones. No all women are good at teaching kindergarten as they need patience by the bucketful.I did get a BA in English and with a few cou rses could have taught but I know2 I am not good as a teacher. You must be committed and I was not. What I had wanted was to get my writing published/

Do things ahead as much as you can. Like put out the clothes for the next day. Plan the meals ahead to save yourself time. Make trips out to run errands opportune too by planning ahead. Be organized can go a long way toward saving you headaches and stress.

I guess it makes a big difference whether you're going to campus for college or taking it online. I was taking online college when my daughter was born and for about 8 months afterwards and I work from home as well, so it's sometimes a little challenging since being at home it's really easy to procrastinate and get off a schedule. The best thing I can recommend is time management. Make a schedule and try to stick to it as much as possible (though with kids that can be really difficult to do). Don't wait until the last minute with school either. Any free time, do schoolwork. I used to take my school books with me if we had a doctor appointment or I was going to be doing anything where I knew I'd have 10-15 minutes of downtime. Doing small bits at a time when you get time makes it a lot more manageable than trying to find a large chunk of time, especially with three kids!

My easier courses will be done online but the courses I struggle with like math I will be going to the school to take. That is really great advice though. I will do everything I can to do things ahead of time if at all possible. I have seen a lot of people wait until the last minute and then stress so bad! I dont want that to be me. Yeah 3 kids is difficult with a schedule. Mine are 6, 4 & 3. They are young but they are easily amused so hopefully games and coloring will keep them happy while I study.

Time management schedule? It would be to not-sleep-anymore. Sorry to hear about you having to go through a difficult time ahead. This would be a good time to draw that 'superwoman' within in you. Don't worry, you'll manage it! I'm sending positive vibes to you. And if we don't hear from you hear in a while, we would understand.

Its a good thought to your responsibilities for your family. keep it up. and also look after your family because your total work is based on your family. so, as a busy mom you should't forget to spend your time with your sweet families.

Oh gosh! I don't envy you. I doubt time management will work much with kids. They aren't going to respond to schedules always. I would say to do online schooling and studying when they sleep.

I am worried about taking it all on but I am hoping with enough determination I can pull it off. And with God all things are possible so I am going to try. Thank goodness my kids are easily amused and pretty happy.

hey, i know as you have mentioned it on the previous discussion that you husband is injured so their are lots of responsibility over your shoulders.you are a good mom somewhat busy but you will surely manage all. and best time to make schedule is to make reminder on the moblie for everything. so every time moblie beep you will come to know what you have to do.

I can tell you as a mother that I tried it and it didn't work out. I have other reasons I can't quite work, but I do have a suggestion for college. Find a reputable online college program or ask if your school has online classes you can take at home and how they work. If they work well enough where you can spend time with your children and do your work then great. Otherwise the honest truth of the matter is that while you can manage it all, something will get pushed to the side and it will be either school or your children.

The school I am going to does have online classes. I am going to try that for some classes but math I struggle with a lot so that I have to do in class. If anything gets pushed aside it will have to be work because if I fail a class I have to pay it back which I definitely cannot afford!
