Wow! I have accessed myLot from my office!

It's been a while since the last time I was able to access myLot from my office. There are times that I can open myLot but can hardly start a discussion because of the slow internet connection. There are times when I can hardly sign-in. I am surprised that I am actually doing myLot activities at this time here in the office. Yes! HERE IN THE OFFICE!
I hope this happens more often so that I can be here on myLot more regularly. Well yeah, I can do this at home instead but it would be nice to be here more often by getting to access myLot even from my office.

Check it with your IT department. It may be that your local IT department is monitoring users online activity and they have detected Mylot as one that is not related to where you work and they blocked it. Different companies have different tolerance to employees' use of the net in their respective offices.

Good to hear that you can now access mylot at work.At least you can participate and post discussion even at work.For me,I don't have problem in accessing mylot here at the office cause we have nice internet connection.Enjoy mylotting and have a great day ahead.

If you mylot in your office, you don't have to pay for internet connection, right? But when do you do it? At lunch time? or you do two at the same time: working and mylotting.

Glad to know that you can access myLot from your office! As I read from the comments above, I've found out that you're teaching in a University so I guess it's just okay to spend some time in myLot while you;re not doing any other works. Enjoy myLotting more!

Hi pal...you have heard of conflict of interest? Do Mylot at home and leave the office time to official matters...that way you will survive in the two worlds.

I teach in a university so there is really no "office time". I teach during my class hours, check papers and work on my lessons during break. and, surf the net while waiting for my next class...

That's good for you! It's the same in my case. I can access myLot at the office, too and I'm really happy that I can because at times that I don't have anything to do, or if I want a break from whatever I'm doing, I myLot.

hi dolce_vita! good to hear that. you're lucky that you can access mylot from your office. a few people i knew don't have the same luck as you do since mylot and other websites are blocked from being used by office personnel because they say that it gets in the way of office work.

Well your lucky that even if you are working and away from home you can still access mylot.There were actually companies that don't allow their employees to access social networking site like facebook and twitter when at work.They even block the access to this site.
Here in our country it became an issue before if it's right to use this sites whenever people are working.I personally want to access mylot and other sites even if I am at the office but I should know my limits of course especially when there's just many tasks assigned to me.I think we only need proper timing when accessing this site from our workplace.

We do not have access to Facebook. They have blocked that site too. But, no big deal.

Lucky you....... private internet use is strictly forbidden at the office. I could not even just check my e mail inbox and take five measly minutes to remove the junk from it.... so all this has to wait till I get home for the weekend as its quite expensive to use an internet cafe.

That is good news for you because you can access my lot in your office.Me i have access in home and enjoying because i use my broadband..
