Do you taste it as you cook, and try to add spices to put more flavors into the recipes? Sometimes when I cook I will taste it too much and then not be hungry for it at mealtime. My husband doesn't cook at all, but I usually like my own cooking so it doesn't really matter.

Since I don't know what you cook or what your partner is cooking it's hard to say. So my question is: if you both are cooking the same dish is yours less tasty? Does your partner agree with that? If it's the same then there can only be 1 reason for that: during the time you are cooking your appetite is over (because of the cooking smells etc). Or perhaps you like food other people cook and serve you way more anyway? Even if it's not that tasty as yours?

Actually, the reason why you don't feel your own food taste good is that while cooking the tastes/smells/aroma of food makes you somehow immune to its taste when you are actually eating it later. And so when your hubby cooks the same, you feels its more tastier than yours. I do gets bored with my own style of cooking so I know why..

Many a times it happens that daily having the same taste just makes us bore of that and also that when we are not cooking someone else is then we are relaxed and that makes us enjoy our food rather than when we were all the time in kitchen and after serving everyone we are eating that surely gonna take my taste away..

I have always enjoyed food that someone else cooks more than the items i cook. it can be the same thing but i'll like the other persons better. I think part of it is appreciation for what someone else is doing...and part is...i can be very critical of my own cooking.
