I feel so excited and happy today! First is that, the weird feeling and pain I have in my hands isn't there anymore since yesterday. Hopefully it won't come back again. Then when I woke up this morning, I started packing my things for a week's vacation to our friend's province.
Tomorrow will be our flight (local) to Bacolod. 
My friend says there is not much attraction/tourist spots there but it is fine with me and my bestfriend. We are going there to visit her and to unwind too. We have not seen her I guess for a decade so we all are excited. My bestfriend's baby is gonna be with us too
Because of this, I will be inactive for a week but if I get the chance I will try to come to myLot to check out some discussions. When was your last vacation? Anyone here from Bacolod? Would love to meet you!

I can only think of Piyaya to bring for you, it's there on the photo. It is their delicacy there. It's a pastry that has sweet and savory filling, the pastry is flaky and a delight to bite into!

Dear sister,
I hope you have an amazing vacation with your best friend and her little baby. It seems very exciting. I wish I could visit my best friend too, she lives in Canada now and Its been years since I last saw her. I miss her very much and If a day comes where I have to meet her, I think i will go really crazy!!!
I am glad your hand is not feeling that pain anymore. :)
Well I didnt have any vacation, never went to one.
Hopefully in future I do, and maybe I will come visit u!!!

Wow! Bacolod! I miss the place! I miss the chicken inasal! hahaha... At first I thought they were joking that if you try the chicken inasal at the sidewalks, every corner has a different taste of the inasal. And they were right! One store has a variation of the inasal but it is all good... Just the thought of that eating at a street in Bacolod with your friends while chatting, that is perfect! Don't try the inasal offered in the malls. They don't compare to what is offered at the streets. hahaha... And a day at the Mambukal resort will refresh your weary minds and body from all those stress from living in Manila.
As for me, I had my vacation last November. We went to Misibis Bay in Bicol but it was a disaster. When the plane landed in Bicol, I got sick and was bed ridden for the rest of our stay there...hahaha...

Thanks for that suggestion. So, I will surely drag my friends to the street to try inasal. My bestfriend have been there before and stayed at our friend's house before. It was only me and her daughter's first time there. Hmmm would love to go there at Mambukal resort.
Bicol, I also have a friend there but am quite reluctant to go there. He had invited me many times but couldn't decide to go there. It was my grandmom's province too, but since they came here in the city many years ago, she said she don't know any more relatives there. It was so sad that you got sick while on your vacation, I hope I would enjoy it without any hassle in health or anything.

Yeah, tomorrow is the day! I do hope we'll be able to meet some of the friends we met before. They came to our school before and for some months, they became our friends and even exchanged letters with them. Sadly, the communication stopped when they all graduated from college. They're older than us. So I wish that aside from my friend in Bacolod and her kids there, we'll be able to meet those old friends too.

Really? I thought Basha is from Batangas as I read through their little conversation in Mp5 with my friend from Bacolod. Yep I am sure it's gonna be a fun and enjoying vacation! Will have to buy Piyaya of course

Thanks! Yes when I wrote this I really feel so excited coz it's my first domestic plane trip. I have traveled to another country before but I have not traveled via plane here in my country. Thank goodness now that I am back I can say that I had fun and was in great health. It was my bestfriend's kid who got sick but thank God that after a day or two she felt really well and healthy again.

Wow, great that you are going on vacation. I'm sure you will have a blast especially that you're with your friend.
I've visited Bacolod as well more than a year ago and I enjoyed going around the city. It was a very relaxing break and it was a great time to reunite with friends who are based there.
Me and some friends also just came from a short break in CDO/Iligan/Bukidnon. It was my first time in Iligan and 2nd time in Bukidnon/CDO. We had a blast. I just returned back to work today but I'm not yet mentally back . I keep on remembering all the things we did during vacation.
Anyway, have fun again. And hoping for more vacations for you!

I have a friend who lives in CDO but she was working now again in another country. She was inviting me to go there before on her baby's baptismal but since I was out of budget I am not able to go. Instead, I just sent my gift to my god daughter.
Well, I do hope there will be more travel for me. If I have lots of money I will surely go for a vacation anywhere at least every 6months or 1 year!

Happy trip. You will end up at Goldenfield where the Casino Hotel is. That is the only place where you will get to enjoy a little night life there. Other than that, the rest of the place would be for nature. There is not much vacation places there for tourist, but you will get to love the city for the people's honesty, and the love for nature. Of course, fresh food would be something worth dying for. Go to Breakthru restaurant. You will have a blast there.

I don't go out mostly at night. We went to a resort so we can enjoy the beauty of nature there. I love Mambukal Resort but since we have spent less time there we were not able to explore the whole resort. Hopefully there'd be next time.

Oh that would be a nice and long vacation.I hope I could spend vacation that long like yours.Never had a really great and long vacation for a long time cause work really spoiled it.Hope to have soon.
I guess there will be some nice places to visit there.The mere fact that you will be in a province for a while is great.Fresh air, foods and beautiful nature.Get away from the city and pollutions and stress for a while.Enjoy,have fun and have a safe travel.

Try to file a leave ardoy, so you can have a great and long vacation too I do hope you can take a little rest away from the city too. Well I am not actually from the city, so I don't have much problem with the stress and pollution. But then, of course being 2 to 3 hours away from Manila - going to a far province from here would be fun and refreshing!

Yes I just came back last Tuesday evening. We went there to be with our friend whom we have not see for such a long long time, second would be to roam around. But we're glad she brought us at a resort which I really love and would love to go back there again if I got enough money to travel there again I still haven't explored it much..

I hope that your flight will go very well. I am sure that you are going to really enjoy your trip to see your friend. Often on a trip I use my net book to go onto wonderful My Lot. I will have to pack it more carefully for my next trip because in Colombia the screen of my net book smashed. I bought a replacement for it when I came home and my brother-in-law kindly fitted it for me.
My last trip was in early 2011 to the Caribbean coast of Colombia. I traveled with my daughter and my disabled son. We stayed in two different cities and did day trips from them. The weather was hot and tropical. In March this year will be flying off to Argentina. It will be a 20 hour bus trip over to Chile. I am so looking forward to this planned trip.

On my trip - sadly, I can't bring my laptop - it's too big for me to carry since my bag is also so full. I don't have netbook, 'though my brother have one, the problem is it's not working anymore and we haven't brought it yet for repair.
There is a desktop and Internet on my friend's house but I doubt if I can still sit in front of the computer. Maybe I can but can only use it for a few minutes.

Baguio! Never been there and we are also planning to go there. We just don't know yet if we our budget would allow even an overnight stay there. But I do hope we can. I didn't see butterscotch there. But there I brought a few piaya's, tart, barquillos and bañadas! My brother's already done with barquillos - LoL! Hopefully I can buy more on our next visit there, I'll make sure to bring a smaller bag and by that time my bestfriend's 3-year old daughter won't need to ask her mom to carry her; so it would be easier for me and her to carry some more pasalubongs.
