have you been commented that your discussion will be deleted

I have not been very active in creating discussions so I haven't received any comments regarding the poll type question however, I have received several notifications that my replies were deleted because the discussion under it was also deleted. There was this one discussion that I wholeheartedly joined which was deleted because it was more like a comparison between the two presidents of our country, the incumbent and the previous. The discussion was really something because each had their own political opinions and comments. I am not sure of the reasons it was deleted whether it was considered as a poll type or due to its being political in nature. However, it was good thread where most of us were given a chance to vent our disappointment on how the country is being run.

Yes, I do received such comment. Don't feel sad, some members are really generous to help and guide if we ever violated any rules. So, if your topic is like poll (which is a guideline violation) then accept it and learn from it. I am here for more than 3 years but sometimes I didn't realize that my discussion violates rule (duh) And I just took it lightly when someone reminded me...it's fine and thankful too.

There are lots of mylot self appointed police here! I saw one discussion where a person who shall remain nameless intimidated someone so badly he actually reported himself! The discussion is still here, the person doing the intimidating is still here, only her comments have been deleted! hahahaha

Oh yes dear! A friend commented to my post subject: "Do you have a recipe for prawn to share?" that it's against MyLot guidelines to post recipes but instead to post the recipe alone, I got comments there about the cooking, the taste and the experience. My post was still here... not deleted! But if will be deleted, no big deal! As I learned some lesson. Cheers leinrix! Have fun MyLotting!

To be honest I don't know. I only get messages that my answer is deleted because the discussion it was under is deleted. But I don't know if only mylot can delete a discussion or also the writer can. I gave up to find out why or how. If other mylotters can comment how or what I can understand why so many is deleted.. although I still don't understand how come so many subjects are exactly the same.

I am guessing that if it was repeat type of question then I can understand how some might think of it as a poll. I'm not sure what qualifies as a poll questions sometimes, yet either. I'm too new, but will try to get the hang of it all.

i know what you mean ive had 3 removed and they were not yes or no type things i think they just delete what they want.
