Remember in prep, aside from what is your name, your age and where do you live another famous question asked by our teachers was What do you want to be when you grow up? At present can you still remember your answer? are you working your way to get there? or your already there? or a twist in fate took over and you end up in a different field? I used to dream of becoming a secretary or whoever writes an invoice hehehe i just love the feeling of tearing the paper and writing....i dunno what happened but im in the healthcare field now. :D

At those times, I said what my mother told e to, that was to be a pilot. As I grew older it has become clear to me that I am afraid of heights and never really want to be a pilot. I had many other ambitions, but none included being a pilot. I have been a dreamer, a very ambitious person. I dreamed of so many things, in which most of them was being able to help a lot of people. This day, I'm no where near my dreams. I even have doubts I could be half the man I wanted to be. It's actually frustrating when I think about it. So much regrets even until now. I guess that's just how life is.

I just wish I know where or how to start. From where I am now, it's just to hard to get a good start or to even start from anywhere at all. Trying to live for the day is all I'm doing.

Yes indeed it can be frustrating .Maybe you were not focus because of all the many things you want to do. Try attaining i goal at a time.. the easiest to hardest. It might work. Too much frustration and regrets can make us feel dissatisfied with life :(

i would always say i want to be a doctor. but i became a nurse because we do not have that much money to pursue my dream. But when i was about to graduate high school, i've been pretty much interested in writing, so i thought of becoming a journalist or a writer., but since writers do not get much pay in our country, mom and my aunts voted against it and thus, i am a nurse now...

hi jd107nette, yes it is true sometimes we do not get what we want to pursue because of the circumstances we are in. And therefore we chose what is best for us and what is needed. We just have to make the best our of it and be successful and someday if we have enough resources we can finally be able to follow our hearts desire.

I wanted to be a singer. I don't want to be one anymore. Lol. I am not yet doing what I want to do yet though and that is becoming a small business owner. I am not quite there yet, but if it's meant to be and I don't change my mind, then the road will lead me. Do you enjoy your job in the healthcare field?

In my country, the pay cannot compensate with the amount of what you are doing. It has the ups and downs. But I find it satisfactory when people appreciate what you are doing for them.

I wanted to be a detective. But not a real-life one (with all the paperwork and real danger). A 'neato' detective, like Sherlock Holmes or the Hardy boys or Columbo or BatMan or Matlock or Perry Mason

Then maybe when you become a software engineer then you can teach the next software engineers thus fulfilling your old dream :D And that is if you still want to be a teacher. Why do you think we end up doing the other thing?

I wanted to be a fashion designer for a long time. But not being a good sewer nor able to afford to continue on to a four year college I had to put that aside. I did in high school for a time wanted to be a day care teacher, but the teacher I had was so bias I quit after that semester.

Oh man, I wanted to be all kinds of things when I was little. I remember doing a class project on this in the 1st grade, and I remember I wanted to be: a police officer, an olympic gymnist, a lawyer, and a novel writer. . So far, I am none of those... I wouldn't mind being those kinds of things though.
