is watching 3D films worth it

Me and my boyfriend is a movie addict. We watched like, 3 or 4 times a month. These days technology put a different spice on watching on big screen. 3D films, enhances the effects and make your movie experience better. I have tried twice it's great and expensive. It's half more than the regular price. Honestly I don't like it that much because since I don't have pointed nose, I need to hold the glasses from the start up to end. Well, that sucks. I can't hold my boyfriend while watching.

Well, for me it depends on the movie. I don't like the movies that where not 3d and where adapted to it. Also many movies are made like to force some 3d scenes and they forget about history and plot and important stuff. So as long as it is a good movie, meant to be in 3d than it can just be good.

haha not every time, if it is a remake in 3d than I don't. If it is a movie that was released in 3d, than why not. And no, I am not so damn rich, lol

I really dont think its worth it. It might be better to just go for 3d on the movies that you really want to see, or the ones that people are buzzing about. Like when Avatar came out I watched it in 3D, and have since watched it in regular format and I was glad I paid the extra money to see it in 3d.

i think it depends from the movie and effects so some movies cna be reliable to watch them in 3d but some is just a light effects and so it won't worth to spend much more for the 3d version because it is not as better as we expect...for example avatar in 3d result good may eb some classics converted to 3d not really...anyway if you don't like the 3d glasses may be the 3d style is not for you..

I have seen a few 3-D movies. But the neatest ones were at Disney World LOL However I am going to go see Titanic. It has always been one of my favorite movies, but I can't even imagine the magnificance of seeing this movie in 3-D I know they are going to have it in Cinemax too I can't tell the difference of 3-D and Cinemax so I will just pay for 3-D. but I do know our major theater will host both ways to view it.

Well dianon, I enjoy watching movies as well and I would prefer to watch the common ones instead of 3d. I have to admit that 3d does enriches the experience of movies watching, however the difference in price is not really reasonable for just that much of a difference. In my place, a common movie ticket will cost you over two to three US dollars, while watching a movie in 3d will cost you around 17 dollars. That is over five times more expensive with little improvement in visual. I say go for movie in 3d when there is really special occasion.

You bet! Regular films, is just better and it does not matter because the quality of the movie itself is important.

I also like to watch movies and I also think that it is better to watch regular print than the 3D.As it enhances the effects but for wearing those glasses for about 2 hours is too much.I would prefer to see 3D movies very occasionally such as I have watched Avatar and then Transformer. These movies really look different from the normal ones and these movies are enjoyed more in 3D.The price difference is also there and it is reasonable to choose which movie I want watch in 3D or in regular.

But do you feel comfortable with the shades? I think it's disturbing and I can not focus on the movie. I keep on holding the3D glasses all through out the movie and it sucks!

I too enjoy watching movies. When it comes 3D movies, it does depend on the movie in my opinion. Although I have to say that I haven't been extremely impressed with some of the 3D movies I've seen lately. I can't say that it's always worth going to see a movie in 3D.

I Don't Like 3D! My eyes can't even take watching 3D for the whole 2 hours, it hurts my eyes and the whole thing looks junkie... and in many movies, you can't even see the 3D throughout them. If it's just 2 characters talking to eachother in the room, the blurry backgrounds would be the same, in 3D or not in 3D. Then, the colors and lights throughout the movie, are spoiled. White is no longer white, it's more of a spoiled grey. Everything in the movie looks more grey, and just plain bad. When I'm going to the theatre, and a movie I want to see is playing, then I'll try to find the theatre that is NOT showing it in 3D.

Personally I rarely go see films in 3D. I hardly ever enjoy a film when I do see it in 3D, I just don't think it enhances the film much. I don't think it's worth the extra bucks in order to see an effect I personally consider to be marginally better than just watching a film in 2D. So it's a no for me.

I dont think its worth it its expensive for what it is and doesnt even look brilliant its also annoying sitting there in glasses. There now releasing older films such as titanic but really your paying a lot of money for a film you have proberly already seen.
