I was hoping to make it to church this morning, and I still might. However, drainage from my allergies is kind of upsetting my stomach. I SO know you wanted to hear that. I'd like to hear about your plans for Easter. Or, if you are reading this after Sunday, what you did on Easter. I'd like to add I was kept from the internet for a couple days this week due to my computer quitting on me, and the days before that it hardly worked at all, so I haven't had the chance to e-mail some of you some good Easter wishes. So if you haven't heard from me, that is why. I'm still having a little bit of trouble today, but I was able to get on mylot. Getting to church this morning would be great because I could be at service with my mom and dad. And I know my dad especially likes having me there on the special holidays. After church, I hope the weather holds up because the kids have a lot of Easter eggs to go find. I'm sure there is a Plan B if it rains. Hope everyone's Easter is a good one. And non Christians, I'd still like to hear your plans for the day as well. Do you do anything different?

Happy Easter, a few hours late! This year like the first Easter, it is a day of Passover. So I'm keeping Kosher, which means I can't eat any bread or pasta. But I'm the weirdest Jew you know, Why? I Love all the Easter movies! Every Easter I look forward to seeing My All time Favorite King Of Kings and any other films TCM want to air.So I saw movies from 11:15am til 11:44pm!I hope you got to church and you feel better. Take Care.

My whole family missed out attending our Easter church service. We just arrived from a long vacation time with our relatives miles apart from where we live in the city. But we had a good quality time with our family and relatives during the lenten season. We prayed together, sang together, ate sumptuous meals and just had a lot of fun. The only thing I hated this week was the weather back home. It was extremely hot and humid that I think I drank a gallon of water a day just to keep me re-hydrated. Happy Easter and have a good day.

I went to my son's for supper....it was wonderful. One of my friends is Mexican and she sent some Easter eggs that are a Mexican tradition....they are blown out eggs that are filled with confetti...so my granddaughter got to break them over our heads (I guess that is what they do with them) and she just loved it! After supper my DIL followed me back to borrow some dishes...they are having a luncheon at their church next weekend for mission support and she didn't have enough of one kind of dishes for her table....turns out she didn't have anything else so we came up with a theme and did flower arrangements and table favors too....it was a very late night! LOL Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Did you end up getting to church? We did not do much today. Woke up early due to the kids' excitement. Watched them go through their baskets and find some eggs. Then I went back to bed for a few hours. We ate dinner early, then went to the park to let the kids try to fly their new kites.. which didn't work out so well. Now we're home having pie, and we're soon going to watch a movie, send the kids to bed, watch Celbrity Apprentice, then off to bed ourselves.

My Mom & I were going to go to church on Holy Saturday but we after we knew it was gonna be @ 8pm, we hesitated. But then we found out it was gonna be for 2 hrs. we said "No". So we decided to go @ 10:30 on Easter morning. We did that. I love our church's decorated alter & wall in back of that. Such lovely colors. The only thing I don't like about our church is the organist/singer sings very choppy, not flowingly & the priest is quite negative by nature always lecturing us about doing right or else being critical. He always seems to be more negative than positive. But the music & readings were very good. My favorite church tune "Lay Down". When we got home, I was busy until the time my bros. & sister & in-laws came & even while they were there. I still had things to do - fix the blown away front decorations, siphon the pool, sweep, vacuum & mop the garage floor where the car had been this year on snowy days, vacuum the 3 rugs in the family room, get the chairs out, get the cooler out for sodas, etc. By the time they came it was hectic, with a lot of talking, people getting in each other's way as they helped with other things - but at least they were helping my Mom & I. Had some negative comments esp. toward me for simple mistakes after all the hard work I did. The little kids got to have all the fun with finding the hidden plastic eggs full of candy. I finally got to eat snacks & sit down & talk outside. It was cool & windy though. Had to go inside. More work to do - had to get the extra table for dinner, get plates & silverware. But 4 people set the table so I had alot of help. Had leg of lamb but it winded up not being enough because only 2 people (me & someone else) had second helpings. We had dessert of choc. chip cookies & choc. covered strawberries. Lots of conversation. Put the stuff away with help. Everyone left by 7. All in all, Mom & me were glad it was all over! We relaxed with "60 Minutes" & Jesus movie "King of Kings" with Jeffry Hunter & also a History channel program "The Lost Gospels". Very interesting. Not a bad Easter. Hope all had a happy Easter.

My plan today was spend time with my family and nephews and nieces it didn't work out quite as well as I planned, we where suppose to have a party with my whole entire family, but as in the case of every single party that my family has, something always goes wrong so my immediate family ended up having to do our own thing until we managed to get together far later with our whole entire family later on, but all and all i had a good time, and my nieces and nephews had a blast, which is always great!

I visited in Guthrie today. I also sang a special. Services are small--twenty eight people. We had various friends and family that came to my brother's house in the midst of all the other things that are going on in our family, and we all, of course, ate too much. We are back home in Kansas now and getting ready to go to bed. I hope you got to feeling better and that you had good weather for egg hunts. He Is Risen, He Is Risen Indeed.

We go to Easter Vigil on Saturday night. It is a long service but I hate getting up in the morning so I prefer to go the evening before. We have a new priest this year and he likes to do everything by the book. It was amazing to see the difference in the service from last year (with our previous priest) and this year. The whole sanctuary was bare before mass but when we got to the point where we celebrate the Risen Christ and we sing the Gloria, all 10 altar servers went to work setting up the altar with clothes, candles, lighting candles, releasing banners, and members of the parish walked up the aisles with flowers and placed them in various places around the altar. I found it to be a very moving and emotional experience. When my daughter (who is an altar server) told me it was by the book I was surprised that I had never seen anything like it before. Today I made a simple turkey dinner (not a full turkey but a stuffed turkey roll). My daughter's 19th birthday is tomorrow (Monday) but she had to go back to school tonight so we celebrated tonight. It was a nice evening with our family, and a guest (my younger daughter's best friend who just happens to be male ). I just didn't like being left with the whole clean-up with no help. Hubby retreated to the television to watch the rest of the Masters (golf). My older daughter prepared her stuff to go and my younger daughter disappeared with her friend. Oh well, I'm getting used to it.

Nothing different, actually I planned to visit my daughter and my grandson yesterday at the big city. We enjoy a lot we went to the mall and we have some fun eating and playing. We went to the church this morning after lunch I went back home since tomorrow is expecting too much traffic on the road because many commuters will go home in their respected places.

Not doing much since hubby got out of the hospital two weeks ago. I'm taking care of him mostly and trying to take care of myself. I did buy a ham yesterday, but not sure if we will have that for dinner. We are two different faiths and when my hubby is well, we hope to get back to going to church and it will probably be his. Both of us are Protestant faiths so no matter which we choose, there will always be similarities. We are both at an age where there are no small children to enjoy. But, I'll wait until tomorrow and look for after Easter candy to save a few bucks on purchase. We will quietly enjoy our computers and eat well. Otherwise, the big journey will be to see if my hubby can walk a little outside with a walker. Happy Easter to all and enjoy life whatever you do!!

I am hoping that if the weather is ok tomorrow we will get to go to a working farm to see the animals and enjoy lunch out with scones, cream and jam! Yummy! So far the weather this easter has been pretty poor so not ideal for going out in.

Your plans sound pretty nice to me, but I think my plans are more for the family. Our cousins are coming over for the day and we are cooking some ham and turkey well done for dinner. Also, we have made an easter egg hunt for the young ones.

Happy Easter..to YOU and yours, dear Ambie! It would be lovely, if you could accompany your parents to the Sunday Service...I hope your "allergies" don't upset these plans! Are your computer issues due to the recent spate of "rotten" weather? My plans are very simple..I do NOT have a Church of my denomination on this Island, respectfully so..and the service is Lutheran, and they do welcome all other committments...but the Sunshine, and gardens are beckoning me! So, I will pay my homage with Mother Nature and the lovely critters Spring brings! It would be different, if my son were home...but Easter marks the start of his camping season! He will be home, next weekend... Have a beautiful day..Ambie!

My allergies abated and I was happy to be at church this morning. As for my computer, I wish I could blame it on the weather. I think it's just old.

The kids already have their baskets. Hubby hid the eggs outside so the kids had a lil hunt for a few minutes. Now they are online trying to figure out how their webkinz world works. Going to the IL's for some lunch/dinner and bordom. Also trying out our new to us car we got yesterday.

I could go spend time with family but would rather not and I don't have a church to go to. I am not really a church person, though I am Christian. I'd rather praise from home. I did easter egg hunt with the kids on Friday night and Saturday Morning though and they enjoyed that.
