Have you already ridden a cable car?

While on the ride, are you scared or enjoying? I have ridden a cable car first time when I had a tour in Singapore. We rode a cable car going to Sentosa. It was such a beautiful view, you will see the entire place below like what the birds eye eye can see. I have no fear of heights that’s why I enjoyed the ride. How about you, have you already ridden a cable car? How was it? Feel free to share.

But I see from your picture you mean the sky cable like going up a mountain... and I have ridden on one in Switzerland and some smaller ones in the U.S. and then they are pretty popular ride at theme parks like Six Flags, and I've ridden them there.

In Switzerland? Did you to Jung frau too? The post office there is supposed to be at the highest level in the world. I posted a picture post card from there to one of my friends!

Yes! I have ridden the Cable Cars of San Francisco California USA. These cable cars have been taking people around the city since 1871. They go up hills and around curves in the streets, and are one of the great attractions of the beautiful city of San Francisco! Its an exciting ride!

I have never lived anywhere where cable cars were made available to me. i have seen them in movies and television shows and often wondered what it would be like to ride on one. Perhaps one day i will travel to s city where i will get the chance.@Harold_ks (1673)

Yes. I have done that several times including Singapore. The most fascinating experience was when we were taken to Jung frau in the Alps of Switzerland. One has to get into a cable car at Interlaken and there I experienced the tapering sounds of the bells tied round the cows grazing. As we go up to get our rail connection for our onward journey these sounds that slowly disappear as we go higher is something that I cannot explain.Once we reached Jung frau there was a ride again that took us round the Alps which gave us a full view.
I have had cable rides also in Kashmir and Cains in Australia.

We skied in France a few years ago now..I too enjoyed the cable car trip to the slopes..a bit like flying up a mountain!

On my trip to South America this March and April we went on two different cable cars. One was in Santiago De Chile and it went up to a fantastic view point. Wow! I was lucky that someone helped me get my disabled son inside the cable car. He was in a disabled person's buggy now back home he is in his wheelchair. The other time we had a cable car ride up sugar Loaf Mountain. The views over Rio were special and amazing. In the past I have been in a cable car in Liechtenstein in the snow. Also I have been to Sentosa in Singapore.

i have ridden a cable car a couple of times in my life. the first time i rode a cable car was when i was in hong kong. it's the cable car inside of the ocean park. i was so frightened that i spent more of the time looking at the ceiling of the car.
the second time i took a cable car was going up to genting highlands. it's a more scary ride but i guess i was more brave already. at least i dared to look out of the car half of the time.
this is embarrassing but i've never ridden the cable car in singapore. it's embarrassing because i am a born and bred singaporean.
i guess i should do it one of these days.

Wow, it's nice to know that you have already tried riding in different cable cars around the world. It also mean that you're not afraid of heights. I hope I can also try riding in other cable cars someday, and with my girlfriend to make it more memorable. What a great day that would be. Thanks for your time responding miss cloud. The cable car in Singapore is something to look forward to. I wish we could visit the place within the year.
I only rode on the cable car in Bohol, Philippines. It's just a short ride, no match to that in Singapore. I didn't even find it entertaining, as it was just a coule hundred meters long, although the view of the river below was great.

Yeah, you have to try it, besides it will not cost you that much going to Singapore since it just a 3 hour ride from the Philippines. Well, it's nice to know that there is also a cable car in Bohol. At least you have also experienced it. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day!

I haven't tried riding a cable car though I tried the smaller version of it the Cannopy. I felt nervous when I rode though upon seeing beautiful and cool scenery and told my self not to look down too much I begun to enjoy the ride.
Next time I am looking forward to try and had chance riding a cable car and I hope it would be soon.
