Hair dye

This morning my wife said, you have become lazy; you used to shave daily earlier, used to dye hair every 15 days; but now although you are free from all your assignments, you shave every alternate day and dye once in 2 months. Since you will go out for treatment, go dye your hair. So I dyed my hair myself at home using Godrej hair dye powder, it was so easy and cheap, I used half of a pouch costing 12 rupees; earlier I used to go to a saloon for this and paid 50 rupees. Yes I have promised her to shave daily. I realize an unshaven face even for a day doesn’t look good and if unshaved for 3 days, I look sick. So male friends how frequently you shave your beard and moustache; do you like a clean shave like me or enjoy having beard and moustache? Lady friends can share about your hubby and if you shave unwanted hair. Both can share about hair dyeing; I dye it natural brown; which color you prefer? Please respond and comment on this. Thanks in advance. Prof.Dr. B.Saraf. PhD 26th May 2012.

I am 57 years old male. Do not use hair dyes. I prefer a natural, though it makes me look old. I shaved the mustache and beard every day, to make it look neat. With this appearance, I am still singing and playing music on stage.

I think natural brown is nice.. but dying your hair very often can lead to unhealthy hair and maybe even hairloss. My mom dyes her hair every 4 or months.. My father shaves everyday too- to look clean.

Natural brown is best, your hair looks natural, as if not dyed.

My hubby has no need to dye his hair yet, he's at the point where I think most days he's thankful to have hair on his head period. He usually has a buzz cut of sorts except where in winter he insists on growing it out into a mess The shaving he goes between a goatee and a beard. I prefer the goatee on him but he grows the beard because it's cheaper to maintain as razor blades are expensive and wear out quickly. Though when he has a goatee he shaves on the days he works and not on the days he's off. I can't totally complain about things except if the beard isn't trimmed and he's growing his hair out in winter. As I only look kept up when I go to work, at home since I'm here more than anything I keep it simple and easy going sometimes sloppy if I'm not leaving the house.

I shave on alternate days. I was doing this while serving in Bank ten years ago and the same thing now. I do not dye my hair because not much of white because there is very less thickness hair on my head. You are doing the right thing in shaving every day --one it will keep us focussed for 15 minutes every day and also give 'fresh' felling.

Hi Professor, My wife too, complains because I no longer shave every day, however I have never dyed my hair. It is grey now, almost white, but both of us are happy with it that way. I know that I should shave every day but if I'm not going outside, I sometimes don't bother. Blessings.

I rather my bf shave everyday , I dont like hairy face . He also like is better without hair so its nice . It always nice if you can do certain things at home such as dying your hair , salon cost is very high . I would normally do my hair at salon but now I start to take care of my hair all alone and thats one of my inspiration to start blogging about hair acre at home.

My husband doesn't shave nearly as often as I would like for him to. He will typically shave only about once a week during the cooler months of the year and about three times a week during the warmer months of the year. Personally, I would prefer that he remain clean shaven, but I can't dictate what he does. As far as hair dying goes, my husband has never dyed his hair and I don't think that he ever will. However, I'm anxiously awaiting getting my hair colored so that it will be able to cover up the gray that I've developed in the past year.

Hahaha.... I guess we tend to be lazy when there is no needed purpose to grooming ourself. I never dyed my hair since it is still dark black. I once want to dyed my hair to bright purple like the look of punk rock star when I was still very young. But my mom didn't permited me so I didn't proceed. I didn't shave much because I didn't grow beard and moustache very fast. My wife always want me to cut my hair short but I didn't like to cut my hair. I like it to be long because I used to have long hair.

Well, I am a person who is particularly attentive to the personal appearance and hygiene. Which is why I still shaved with razor and foam, one day every two (or at least every 3). I think a face without a beard, a man is a sign of "welfare" or better a person shaved every day, gives the feeling of holding a lot to the person. And for me this is very important.

I think by now the society is already that way that women have to shave unwanted hair, or hair men claim suddenly they don't like. Men seems to be free if it comes to that, or want us women to believe they look great with moustache and beard and a hairy body all over. I can tell you men you don't look great at all and it's smelly as well. So yes your wife is right. Although I think she also ment to say: how come you don't take care of yourself for me, sounds as if you were only willing to do that for your job. Shaved men look way better also because they are open, have an open face and that is what women want. Like I was teached: a man with moustache and/or beard has something to hide you can't trust him.
