I really don't have idea if this is true. but then i just heard this from the filipino film "sukob". sukob means the wedding is cursed and two siblings shouldn't be married in the same year. i was really scared when i first watched this movie starring kris aquino and claudine barreto. though i really don't like kris being a horror actress. the film was great. you should watch it dear. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nom3gs1d-FM But you know, I bet most horror films are much better scary to watch than those filipino horror ones. in here, horror films are just mild when being compared to other korean or other countries horror ones. it's just made for those who does have heart attacks or so...

I don't think so but we should appreciate any idea means that it will be better take the good messages within, if I were very rich like Mr. George Soros I will not take this simply because there will be 2 wedding at the same year and also means that there will be huge money to spend but according experiences wedding will need preparations even sometimes need 1 year or more preparation. In my country we have to booked / reserve at least a year early for the building ! It perhaps has to do with "wedding seasons" (there is certain period forbid marriage). If it was me who will get married and it were you as my spouse .... hahaha ... perhaps I don't care if this will be the tenth wedding in my family (laugh). Good morning.

Both me and my brother got married in 2005. He married in Hawaii and I married in Las Vegas!!! I have never heard of it being bad luck. The only bad luck was my parents that had 2 of their kids weddings within 2 months of each other lol. Meaning they had to pay out a lot of money on weddings :) But they loved the idea that they were both completely opposite of each other and not your average church wedding!!

Hello Cloud31, Where did you hear such thing?, this is the first time I hear this, and I have to say, that I do not believe in luck at all, I believe that this in only a negative way to perceive things. We, as humans, can not see the whole fabric of life, so, what we perceive as negative of "bad luck" may be, somehow, a good thing. If we believe in bad luck, we will begin to see it, in everything that happens in our lifes.

Thank you very much, and happy mylotting for you too. I think that we have to pay special atention to the way we think, in order to be happy, understand that there are things out of our control, but, try to see the brightest side in any situation.

Hello albto, I heard it from a friend it was my first time either to hear about this belief..So I'm gathering some ideas and opinion from you guys because it puzzled me a lot. I agree with you and that bad luck will come by means of confessing and believing. Thank you for having you here friend.,.Have a wonderful mylotting to you!
5 Jun 12
Well some would say there is no such thing as good or bad luck, that we make our own luck in this world.. therefore, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, everyone, could all get married in the same MONTH and it wouldn't make a difference to luck. And I don't really see, even if you do believe in luck, why your sibling getting married the same year as you would bring you bad luck.. it doesn't make sense. I mean, what about double weddings, is that even WORSE luck? I think it's silly to be honest.
@cloud31 (5809)
6 Jun 12
Hello chick, You have your point here,I've witnessed some double weddings too and that it goes well and most of them ended up happily married. Anyway as we think over this kind of belief it make really no sense to us, though some people still carrying this until now. Thanks for sharing chick! Have a nice day ahead!

haha i think most of these rules and regulations on luck are pretty silly lol! although I won't walk under a ladder haha!

It is only bad luck really for the parents who have to pay for it. My kids got married the same year. For one it was good the other it was awful, but that is because of the people they have chosen to marry. I even know of siblings that share the same wedding day. No need to be superstitious about it.
@cloud31 (5809)

Hello GardenGerty, I agree with you! And that superstitious belief has nothing to do with the wedded couples. Thanks for sharing and Have a nice day!

My cousins had a double wedding. The two sisters are very close and agreed to have their weddings together. That was probably 30 years ago. They are both grandparents and still very much married. I certainly don't believe in that old wives tale.

I have known of siblings that had their wedding ceremony not just within the same year, but on the same day. So far as I know those unions have been long and happy. The idea of two weddings in the same family in the same year being bad luck was probably started by the parents of several girls. They might need a year or more to financially recover after the wedding of daughter # 1.

Hello bellis, Yeah and its just proven that this belief is not really true. Thanks for sharing and have nice day!

This a superstitious belief that has been the belief of the olden days which until now are being practiced by others. I don't believe in this, because it doesn't have any valid reason as to why it would be so. Though, there's no harm in avoiding this. Get married December 2012 and your sister can too for January 2013.

Hello ms SIMPLYD, First if you don't mind can I call Ms SIMPLE? It simply describes your personality, in my view.. Well, yeah ms Simple I have the same thought of you and that is nothing to care about this belief. That is nice suggestion too,it could the last month of the year and the first month of the following year. Thanks for having you here! Appreciated!

Never heard of such a nonsense, but I assume that if you believe in it you will see bad luck everywhere and you can blame someone else for it (might be great too so you don't need to have a closer look at yourself).

Yeah her mother is correct, but its not bad luck for the girls getting married, but is bad luck for the parents if they are to share the expense of marriage. Other than that I think believing in such thing are excellent examples of stupidity. Marriage is just an official declaration to public (friends and relatives) that these two are going to live together and start there own family.

I don't believe that at all at all. What does that have to do with wedding vows or getting married if two siblings get married in the same year. Me and my oldest brother have been married for the same amount of time. He was married in July of 2009 and me and my husband where married in March of 2010. I don't think that matters if siblings are two different people and they are marrying two different people so there relationship with there partners are going to be different from one another even if they get married years a part that doesn't mean they will work out better then ones that are not. I don't think it'll bring you good or bad luck at all.

Hello shybear, Myself don't believe with that too..And I don't even have any idea how this belief affect the wedding couples. Your story has just proven that this superstitious got nothing to do with wedded couples. Thanks for sharing and Have a nice day!

I always say if you believe in stuff like that then, that is all your ever going to see. So if you think it will bring you bad luck then over time you'll just bit at all the bad things happening and never see the good things that have happened. There is many wedding supersititions. Like you have to have something old, borrowed, new and blue. I never had any that for when I got married and may people say things about that as well.

i don't believe in it. people are making bad lucks. it is all in our mind. plus, i never heard of a situation wherein siblings got married the same year then got bad lucks. so, i guess it's just a false beliefs of elders. :)

I heard no wedding to wogole someone would bring bad luck, weddings themselves are intended to give to happiness and joy, and not if the wedding takes pecha.A siblings in one year is just sioe glad that they found your other half and will be with those they love. without exaggeration, do not believe in such nonsense as bad luck, or exaggeration, especially when it comes to wedding!

Hello alutka, Yeah, thank you for that wonderful advise..I will bear that in mind. Have a nice day friend!

I is a stupid load of superstitious nonsense. All superstitions are taking totally unrelated things and trying to put them together to make up some silly fantasy but I think this is on of the silliest I have ever heard

I think this is just superstition. In 1983 i attended the marriage of two cousins, both sisters,who got married on the same day and both are well settled with grown up children. In 1988 i again went for the wedding of two brothers,distant cousins of mine, who also got married on the same day and once again in this case both are extremely well settled.So this debunks the theory.

Certainly, people can lie and break their promises but it's up to them to live with the low person they become. I don't think people become a liar from one day to another, they get scared and lie here and there...and then, their lives are a lie because you have to tell another to sustain the first one, it's really not worthed. My vows of fidelity are real even when dating , fortunately after the first looser boyfriend I only found honest guys too. I think we end up attracting what we put out there.
