The last couple of days I have noticed more people are really commenting back on their discussions. I do not know if it just me or more people are taking it seriously about it's being rude not to comment back and not with a thank you either.your take fellow mylotters. am I looking with rose colored glasses or are more people actually commenting back on our responses?

It could be that you are responding to more social people too. They are more polite, or they realize that you get out of Mylot what you put into it. Not just in earnings but in relationships.

Yes.mylot is a place for exchange of ideas and building friendships. that is realised by all the members and that may be the reason why people reply for responses received.

yes GardenGerty and ravi yes I think may be thats so that I am responding to people who feel they should keep up and comment back even as people are responding to them.I was amazed to see a comment on a response I had just made several hours ago.I have been trying to check on older discussions of mine as they have been resurrected by some newer my lotters.but I love to see comments on responses I just typed today. l think thats really just great.

I sometimes have people get back to me really quickly. Occasionally I goof up and I do not comment on all responses, but I try to.

I haven't been here for very long but since I am here I have notice that most people comment back on their discussion . I think its a real good feeling when you try helping someone and they can tell you if it work . I also like when a person try helping me so I definitely will make it clear that I appreciate their help .

hi silverfox as for your rating that is done by your fellow myloters if they pretty much plus you your rep will increase and you will move up to red star.sadly a few people here abuse the minus sigh and if they do no like so meone or disagree they minus which is agains the mylot rules. we do not hit minus simply because we disagree with the other person, thats wrong only hit minus if the post is insulting. I never minus anyone if the post is insulting I just report it.as for the numberby your username that will fluctuate if you might have responded to a discussion that wa deleted but do not worry about it.that just shows how active you are and other times the admins will add money to it that they have f rom ha ving deleted a bunch of rule breaking discussions so they divy it up among other good users.

Hi, Hatley I try to respond back to those who give comments on my discussions. That is a way to show that I appreciate their comment and most of them I give a + even if they don't know it.. Some discussions get so many answers that it takes a lot of time to respond to them all, but if possible, it would be nice to do so. Perhaps the newer ones here find out after some time that this is a discussion site. I know it took time for me in the beginning to understand how it all works - and I have still a lot to learn..

I also think it is good to respond to the discussions starting by us otherwise comment back to the discussions replied by others in our discussions. Now a days I try to respond back to the discussions started by other as far as possible. I think it is good to respond to the replies because this will make an appreciation of thanks for responding to our discussions and also helps to make our discussions carry on. I am also seeing that many mylotters are responding back to the replies they receive. I think it is fun responding back to the discussions we receive.

Hi ajithlal, it's no doubt that comment back to every response received is what we are responsible to do after posting a new discussion. I do my best as well, not to miss any new response even in my ages old discussions. I haven't written any new discussion for quite a long time Yeah, comment would make the discussion to keep on going Moreover we would earn more commenting back to the responses. Not only fun to have more back and forth commenting in a discussion if look great as well with so many attractive avatars from different responders. This is a real discussion with so many ideas and opinion related to the topic available Enjoy the great fun here!

Hi Aunt Hatley, indeed commenting back on discussion makes the discussion more meaningful. Besides that, it makes the discussion able to move furthermore and more meaningful news was added as well. Not forgetting, by commenting back, everyone of us have the opportunity to earn extra more in return. So, there is always no harm to keep commenting back, as long we have the idea to continue it...Waiting to hear more from you, Aunt...

Hatley aunty: I reply for all the responses received in respect of my discussions. Before deciding on the best response -- initially I use to do it after one week or ten days from the date of start -- nowadays it takes two/three months -- I send reply for all the responses received. In fact after finalising best response also --in case responses are received I reply immediately. True I do not start more discussions but concentrate on posting responses for others' discussions. good day.

hi ravi I have really tried not to post more discussions than I can easily comment back on but sometimes I do get a little ahead of my self. I try to divide up my day so half the time I am responding to you and all my friends as much as I can using the interesting ones first and any o thers that catch my eye.then the other half of the day I do try to comment back on all my different discussions.I really am serious in keeping up commenting on all the responses I get.its rude not too and too it does increase my earning too plus I am having fun too.

Hard to say, Ms. Hatley. Did they learn or were they just away from their computers previously? I don't always comment on my responses - you should see how many unresolved discussions I have - back four years, even!! But, I have been trying to do more lately.

hi jerzgirl you see I have got behind and I do really try tol comment back in timely fashion b ut some times but I was without my computer first two weeks of this mo nth so am now playing' catch up. i think it is r ude not to evedr come back and comment on the responses one makes. i mean look we did not have to respond bu t we chose too so the discussion maker must chose to comment back and he or s he will make great earnings doing that too.

Maybe people are finally catching on to the fact that in order to have a discussion you actually have to comment back and forth with someone. It seems tehre are some who are genuinely interested in making connections and some who just want to increase the number next to their name.

but Canellita, pretty name, those who do not comment back make little money on their discussions as the responses we make are earnings we make, so the discussion maker makes little unless he or she types real comments back.

Hi Hatley... I never leave a response without commenting back. I consider it as my loyal duty on mylot. It is one type of honor that we can offer to a respondent for his/her valuable time for us. Have a nice time.

hi shibham have not seen you for awhile. I also feel I owe comments to all who took the time and effort to respond as to just deliberately ignore them is rude as they gave up their time to respond to us so I owe them a comment on their response. And I think more of the newer ones are doing that too. It makes it more enticing for us then to come back to that discussion and comment on the comments.

It is the third day in a row that I didn't get any new mylot digest notifications or any other notifications about my mylot friends's started discussions. I guess they lost some of their inspiration or maybe they take their time to respond back. I personally comment on discussions that were started by other people. If I want them to be aware for that , I send them a private message and I tell them I made a comment on their discussion , I send them the link to that page. I always respond back on comments and responds made in my discussions. It is easy because I get maybe 4 responds in the best case :(

Hi hatley! I do see that people are commenting back. But i thought this was normal. I didnt think it was a big deal cause almost every post I see has a comment from the one who started the discussion. I guess mylot is not just a place to get an extra income. Mylot is a place to find great people and friends. You'll never feel sad when youre in mylot. Happy mylotting :)

I am trying to respond back though I've made so many discussions lately. I don't like to just leave a discussion of mine without responses but I have. I really need to just buckle down and respond back to everyone, but that's five years worth of some responses I've ignored.

hi somecowgirl you andI have been here about the same time. I have made more lately too so its keeping me hopping trying to get caught' up and I do know better. what has shocked me is that some of my old discussions have been pulled up and in commenting to the new responses I found I had missed quite a few.of course several times I have been off line with computer problems or the time I fell and was in rehab for almost a month.I also need to catch up on my best responses too. I have never left a discussion of mine without any comments back except when I was hospitalized.

Ido know that most all of us do do the b est we can and thats what makes mylot so great for me plus I have friends now from all over the world and I do not have money to travel but just my trusty' key board.

Alot of Mylotters don't answer all their responses. They will answer afew and then that's it. And they never seem to reach mine either. I try to get to eveyone. With the manual thing and by that I mean I no longer get the discussions and responses in my email. I have to come here manually and do it all. So that way it does take me several days sometimes to get back to someone. I do try. I also wonder if all of us are using the DRS system too. I have gotten into the habit and use it each time but I really wonder if others are.--??

i try to also. I am finding that when I go through the 'responded' ones I find some from three or four weeks ago and some from a day ago, not in numerical order or anything. SO am unable to get back to discussions for weeks sometimes because of this. It is weird.

I consider commenting back is out of courtesy. To be honest,I haven't responded to some comments other mylot friends made, because I felt I had nothing to say and didn't know what to do in order not to be impolite. What happened to my Yahoo inbox recently should be regarded as a different matter.I frequently couldn't get notifications about my friends'discussions and responses.

Absolutely right,Mrs.Hately.I share your thoughts. Not adding comment to someone's response to our discussion is indeed rude and hurting. When I see so many responses and comments on my posts,I feel it obligatory to me to comment back on them. It's something like etiquette.I can't afford to dishonor the labor of the respondents to my posts and those who have comments to my responses.I agree with you.
