I looked at a video on You Tube and the lady told about the fantastic journey that she did when she was 19 years old. She did a trip on a expedition lorry with other travelers. They went off the beaten tourist track from Turkey to India via Pakistan. After that she traveled independently to Nepal. I bought my little cottage when I was nineteen years old. A couple of months before then I traveled with my mom to St Lucia in the Caribbean Sea. It was my first trip to a tropical destination. I loved seeing the pal trees and swimming in the aquamarine sea. What was the most amazing thing you did in your teenage years?

As a family, we didn't have much when I was growing up. I lived in a small town and went to an underfunded high school. But once in a while, the school offered an opportunity to travel. I joined an academic contest which I won. I was able to take my first plane ride, and I was able to go to the metropolis because of this opportunity. I think it was amazing.

I started college when I was sixteen, but that's about it for me. My sister however had her Bachelors degree and was working on her Masters when she was nineteen. Which is also when she bought her first house. She was teaching at a nearby school too. Can you tell she is an overachiever?

The best things that happened in my teenage years were wonderful, but I don´t know whether I would call them amazing. It was amazing tht I fell in love and the boy I fell in love with also fell in love with me. Meanwhile, other things were happening in a hurry in my life. I ended school at 16 years of age and got in the university. I married at 18 and had my first baby 4 days before I turned 19 years old. All those years I managed to have a wonderful marriage, study and be a mother (with a help of a wonderful lady that was like a big sister to me). Before that I went to Brasil with my parents and then, later, to Buenos Aires for my honeymoon. I don´t remember if I was 19 or 20 when I went to Lima with a friend who was married with a soccer chum of my husband. They were playing in Lima and they invited us.

hi miximax8, you said amazing thing, not amazing place okay? my dad was very strict and i always follow what he says. there was a time though that i wanted so much to join my friends but i was not given permission. so i stayed in my room until i knew he and the others family members were already asleep. then i went to the balcony and climbed down one post. yes! a real feat. i have never done before and it was the first time i really wanted to do something he didnt know about. that was around 1am and i came back about 5am. when my dad saw me, he said "you are early". i said "yes, i jogged a little." i enjoyed the company of friends, but my heart was feeling really guilty. thinking about it now - i call it - amazing! ann

I don't know what I did in my teenage years was amazing or not,but the most important things that I did then were learning maths and writing a biography of Chandrashekhar Azad, one of the greatest martyrs.I had also tried to write an epic on the birth of Lord ShriRam.Both the biography of Azad and the epic were written in my mother tongue Hindi. My father was alive then.He had read the biography of Azad written in the form of a novel.I can't tell you how happy he was after reading it.But he could not read the epic, because he expired before I completed it.I was weak in maths, but after reading the biography of the famous mathematician Shrinivas Ramanujan,I developed a liking for the subject and I started learning it.My labor made endeared me to my teachers and I came to be known as one of the best students of my class.

It may not sound much but for me it was a massive achievement! When I was in my late teens I finally learnt how to overcome my fear of water and learnt to swim! As a youngster I had numerous incidents where I nearly drowned, it scared the life out of me. It was actually my best friend at the time, same age as me who taught me to swim from the basics! I felt fantastic when I was able to swim a width, then a whole length without stopping and even swimming in the deep water. Even now, looking back I would have to say this is one of the most greatest achievements I have ever achieved in my life!

AS far as travel is concerned.....we went on a family trip to see Mount Rushmore...and that is the extent of it. I started traveling after my teen years...after my kids were grown but I remember the first time I sat on the beach in Hawaii....all I could think of was.....I can't believe I am here!

When I was teenager, the most amazing thing that I've did is when I we've health a community where the unfortunate families live. When learned how lucky we are for we got all the things that we want. We learned that it's really fulfilling to help people who needs help.

Hi Maxine, the video you watched was a story of a thrill journey. Have you any personal experience of a travel which was full of thrill? In my teen age I liked to travel by bicycle. With my friends I used to go to seashore riding on bicycle which was 20 miles away from my town. Several times we went to hilly jungles with our bicycles. Those trips were full of exciting. Still I remember those sweet memories.

When I was a teenager I visited other European countries for the first time. When I was 13 my parents, my brother and I rented an RV and we visited Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France. We had an amazing trip and I found it really interesting to visit other countries for the first time. My brother and met many children and teenagers from other countries and that was a lot of fun. I didn't speak much English and I didn't speak German at all, but somehow we managed to communicate with the other children and teenagers and we found many new friends. One year later we travelled to France again and this time we travelled with my parents's friends and their two children. We had a great time again, and those two trips are some of my happiest memories from my teenage years.

I traveled with my band when I was 14. It was a great summer and we learned a lot. What we experienced as a group can never be paid for. It helped us have a strong friendship.

when i was a teen, i went with my friends (only girls)for trekking and spent the whole in a wild life sanctuary among the wild animals, with no security. that was awesome. but scary too, scared that wild animals may attack us. also that jungle was filled with snakes and scorpions. so we were a little scared. we spent the entire night there, and it was a winter night, so cold and we forgot to carry any match sticks or lighter to burn some fire for heat.
