Moron, morons and things breaking...

The moron was Roger. I think the last time I mentioned Roger it was after he had broken up with me and then come back and wanted another chance. Well he disappeared again, I found Tony, and I'm quite happy with him. Few weeks ago Roger popped back up and wanted to ask me out. He was waiting until the ex was out of the picture. Couldn't handle him living in the same house with me. Anyway, I told him I had a boyfriend, and he got off chat so fast you'd think he had on rocket boots. Then he came back and told me he was blocking me. Ha, disappear on me and break up with me twice, and then think I'm sitting around waiting for you, and when I'm not, block me. Dumbazz. Good riddance. And then there were the morons who bought my house. They had come back with yet another number. We had agreed they could deduct $270 for the carpets, and then all of a sudden they were questioning my estimate, and trying to get $585 instead. I told my agent no, we already agreed on a number. If they wanted to question my estimate, and get their own, they should have done it a month ago. So every time she e-mailed them, she just kept asking when can I pick up the check in the amount that we agreed on. Finally, Friday they cut a check, and I have my money. Bye bye morons. Of course life is funny. Life apparently decided since I now had my money that I needed to spend it. Friday afternoon the garage door opener broke. I was thinking of replacing the whole thing anyway, but not this soon. And then this morning the kids' laptop died. I think it's just the battery, not sure. I'm now deciding whether it's worth putting in another battery or just getting a new laptop. Actually, that battery might still be under warranty. Hm.... Oh, also my house guest is out, and back having her own life. Twins' birthday party went fine. 13 kids playing laser tag, and a sleepover (not with all 13, thank goodness). So that's my life. Several stressors gone, and things breaking just when I wanted to save money until I get a job. How's your life going?

I say good riddance to the one guy who seemed only popped up when he needed a booty call. He seemed like he didn't have relationship staying power to stay when things get rough..And praised Be that you finally received your money. I know how money flies...in my case it was everyone with their hands out for some to borrow. How's life going? Eeh, I can't complain to much, recently had a complete hysterectomy so on my way to healing from that and keeping pain tolerable. Good luck in your next adventures of Dawn against the world..lol...

Well, Moron ROger sure has his nerve. Glad to hear you don't put up with such things. Men!! So glad I don't worry about such things anymore. Moron 2=Yah!! Got that done, huh? 13 Older kids sounds okay. I am so glad my grandson is the last kid I have any help in raising. I am so done! How's my life? About the same. Nine year old with ODD, daughter with learning disability and bi-polar, and might get my teeth done. Glad that the morons are gone out of your life.

Yeah, what a dork. The irony is, if had just said he was uncomfortable about the situation with the ex, and asked if I would be willing to put things on hold and revisit things after the move, I would have seriously considered it. I really liked him that much.

Hi Dawn, Glad to see that you got rid of two morons out of your life. Brace yourself though...the world is full of them and more are bound to find their to you soon enough, adding color and spice to your life. That's how it works. Same with all the stress factors....And it seems it all happens all at once, doesn't it? I've been having a time lately too. Thank goodness for the good things in life and especially the ability to notice them, right? Some people don't have that and get real down over these kinds of things. You seem to at least have a sense of humor still. I'm sure it's been tested though over the past year or so.

it's so important and I feel so sorry for those that for whatever reason just don't have that ability to pick themselves up,brush off and move on or see the good things in their lives. Life is all about the ups and downs. There was a poem about the dark interweaving with the beautiful colors that make a beautiful tapestry called life. I've often compared my life to one of those snow globes. Just when everything settles and it looks like things are going to go smooth for while, some idiot comes along and shakes it all up. geez...and that is pretty much how it is for most people that I know.

life decided to give me lemons... i got a bottle of vodka to drink with it. at least your life has a couple less morons. that's a win for you. agree, about life dictating when and how much money you'll be saving. you were changing the whole garage door anyway so might as well get on with it. the laptop is an altogether different issue. might be better off buying a new one but keep the old laptop. if you have the extra cash, buy the battery or have the laptop checked. it might still be used so whenever that happens, at least you'll have two laptops available instead of one. life has been fairly good to me the past few months. really thankful for all the blessings that i received. trying my best to share as much as i can to my family and loved ones and even to complete strangers. not simply trying to just live but really making the most out of life. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Sounds like everything is happening to you at once. I've been pretty busy but everything is generally going smoothly. I'm still trying to save up but just like you, I save or get a bit of extra money and then some random expense comes up.

You had a house guest? I must have missed that discussion. I don't get notified when my friends post things so I check the discussions started but get overwhelmed sometimes with all the posts, so don't go past the second page... Uh... what was the question?

Rescued her from her boyfriend in April. The plan was, put her on a greyhound bus for Michigan. She was just waiting for her security deposit back. Next thing I know she can't live without him, wants to get back with him. But she couldn't get hold of him, turned out he had gotten arrested. It's been one, long comedy of errors since then. I think I've posted a little about it, but not a lot, since she's on here occasionally.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with all you have had to cope with. My days are about the same. I spend a lot of time in bed reading or watching Mythbusters on Netflix. I get out of breath really easy. I do wash dishes and sometimes do them while in my wheelchair. Sometimes I can stand doing them but not always. Tomorrow night I have my second sleep study.

So you can see; we really can avoid stress if we want to; you did everything right. No use worrying about the small stuff. Save it for when you really need it. I have learned the hard way resulting in Parkinson's as you know.

Wow... you should be thankful that things that stress you out are already gone.. As for me, i am living a peaceful life in our tiny but habitable bungalow-type house. Me and my wife often have disagreements but this is only normal for couples. Most of the time we are just fighting over my salary which is not enough for our household expenses. But despite the non-sense discussion with my wife i am still lucky because she gave me a beautiful daughter. My daughter is so sweet and even a simple kiss or embrace from her can make me feel less tired.

Its been hairy...my son's wife decided she wants a divorce so helped him move and set up an apartment....I'm helping take care of my granddaughter on the weeks he has her....I am getting ready for a craft sale.....so it's been busy. Dryer decided to take a puke....so I have to shop for one of those but can't until I get the craft sale behind me...so that's how it goes for all of us I think....glad you are having some smooth sailing...at least for the most part.

Stressors are always here Dawn! I thought after all the effort, you could be rewarded more than just accusing you by not paying attention by the important figures in the Financial Statement. Yeah I swear, right now am so silent on my desk, my office mate approached me and I directly told her am not on the mood for today for chit-chat... am really disappointed by morons, yes - by just accusing me although they don't have any idea what's going on with their financial status. Yeah know I have studied and weighed my decisions, I am carefully encoding and computing the numbers, they could not just questioned me like that by just having a minute glimpse of the paper - where's the justice? You are right there - life is funny! Many times I want to quit this job but yeah know I have to decide wisely, it's hard to find another one where people are manageable other than the morons! Life is still going on, thanks for sharing yours! Happy myLotting! At least there is myLot where we can scribble our unspoken feelings!

I got my laundry today done. been watching football most of the day. Seperating my recyclables. Feed in the morning at the stable. Will recycle sometime next week! Dentist appiontment tuesday which they canceled on me last tuesday and I didn't know it! Ugh! work has been busy. Been busy with that. Been training new student workers which I don't like doing and never have! My family is arugering over what is the best thing for my 88 yr old dad! He is not ready for a nursing home but his caretaker, his girlfriend nancy, who is 75,wants a day or more a month for a break from caretaking. Us siblings have to many stairs, where we live, for him and my sister lives like 2 1/2 hours away! So right now my in-laws are putting in their two cents worth! So that is up in the air on that right now! So that is what is going on in my life at this time!
