In his words to the Des Monies Register: "How much government do we have and how do we pay for it? So when you combine the Bush tax cuts expiring, the sequester in place, the commitment of both myself and my opponent -- at least Governor Romney claims that he wants to reduce the deficit -- but we’re going to be in a position where I believe in the first six months we are going to solve that big piece of business. It will probably be messy. It won’t be pleasant. " http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20121024/NEWS09/121024003/After-editor-s-blog-President-Obama-releases-transcript-of-Register-interview?Frontpage&nclick_check=1 He tells us in the debate that sequestering will not take place but he is planning to use the cuts to the military to get money and then raise taxes on all of us and he will probably try to blame Congress. The man who said he would not raises taxes on the middle class is going to let it happen, The man who said sequestering would not happen is going to let it happen. The man who told us that Abortions would not be covered by Obama Care but is willing to require that it be forced on people. Why does he tell us one thing and then is planning to do something different?

Budgeting has been a concern and source of dirty politics the entire 4 years. It was what 2010 when the threat of government shutdown came along because they couldn't agree on a budget. Unfortunately for whoever is president, but most unfortunately for all the rest of the citizens of the country. Congress just uses the fact that they eventually have to pass a budget as leverage to force the opposing party and then the president to concede to issues. Otherwise it looks like the president is letting the nation get shut down.

Why doesn't he tell us that he is going to raise taxes. He clearly said in the debate that the sequestration will not happen yet he tells the Des Moine Register that he will let it take effect and by letting the Bush Era Tax Cuts end he sees a great influx of money to the government and he doesn't care about the people. As the Budget, President Obama had his first two years with total control of both houses of congress and could not get a budget passed. The one he did submit was voted down with not one vote supporting it. The House has passed several budgets but Senator Reid will not let them come up for a vote in the Senate. The process should be the President submits a budget, the House then takes it up and makes changes and passes it on to the US Senate. The Senate discusses it and makes changes and it is turned over to a conference committee to work out a final solution to be presented to both Houses. The question should be Why won't Senator Reid let the Senate vote on a budget?

The Obamacare tax that is really a penalty or fine that is really a tax, is the largest single tax increase on the middle class in history. I hope the polls are right. I know that Romney is right when he says that we cannot afford four more years of Obama policies.

He did that his whole 4 years. Promised one thing when he was elected, did another. Actually, I don't think he did much at all, but that's my opinion. In general, politics is like that. They always say one thing and do another. Never what the people want.
