Are you ready for a shift in Consciousness?

Many of us are of waking up to the fact that our lives are no longer working the way we had planned. Sometimes this is due to a shift occurring inside ourselves over a period time, and sometimes it is part of the larger shift that is currently affecting all humanity. Change is happening at such an increased rate that it is difficult to predict what the future holds. As a result, many of the old ways no longer work, and if we cling to them we feel strangely out of tune with reality. If we are in tune with the energies around us, we will begin to question ideas that just a few years ago seemed sensible. In the simplest terms, the shift we are undergoing right now has to do with recognizing ourselves as being more than human, remembering that our earthly aspects are a very small part of who we are. In truth, we are multidimensional beings. When we begin to realize this, the life we planned for a limited conception of ourselves no longer fits. We must meet the needs and qualifications not only of our bodies but also of our souls. This realization dawns slowly for some and with the suddenness of a bolt of lightning for others, and we all must find the way that works for us to integrate this new and larger sense of self into our life plan.

Wow..that is a very deep thought. I agree that we are more than what is here...what society tells us we should be. The chains that bind us to our reality can certainly make us lose sight of ourselves. I am caught up in the "making a living thing" right now but ever so often I remember that it is for an end that means nothing more than a lot of work left behind. I could really use some soul feeding. As far as the change part, I think that more people than not are reevaluating their futures and purposes. I know I am. I just don't know how to go forward with it.

Hi JenInTN, Thank you for sharing those thoughts and most of us go through this 'making a living thing' and I guess it is just a part of our society. I am retired and have more time for what you call 'soul feeding'. You alone must decide on your way but I've found that there is a lot of good 'stuff' out there today. I think that before going into anything though, we probably need to go within, into the silence and get some idea about who we really are. Blessings.

Thanks for the best response Pose. I think that is one of my biggest problems. I still don't know what I want to be or what I am supposed to do. I am a mixture of what seems to be a million things..lol. I actually border being unsettled sometimes.

whoa... i think this is the deepest post i ever encountered in mylot. i take it as everything changes. what we believe in today may not be the same beliefs we had, nor what we would be believing in some years after. so, in my understanding of the discussion, what we would hold a constant should not be our beliefs. but rather to the fact that our convictions might change in the future, depending on its adaptation to the current situation.

hello pose. yes, i agree with that. if i may add as an example to the evolution of the way of thinking. in the earlier years it was once the mantra to go to school, get good grades, and get a high paying job in order to be successful. but now, most successful people didn't even go to college. so we could see the change of standards. the get-good-grades belief that was very effective before isn't as effective as it would be today. most school achievers i know are just average earners. there are some who are really successful. but the high grades were not DIRECTLY what made them. i'm not saying that you shouldn't go to school. it's just that in this era, the right approach to something is more effective than merely impressing your professor. quite similar to your example regarding the belief on diety and sacrifice.

I personally think it's technology that is fast pace and shifting our patterns as humans, it's evolving so fast that we are trying to keep up with it, more often or not technology actually replaces us, which is indeed quite scary. Sometimes I long for the past, ok that would mean not having the internet, computers, mobiles etc, but back then life was much simpler, not as fast paced as we are now. I think modern technology forces us to make changes, where maybe we would have been much slower to change. I find that by living for day and not thinking about tomorrow I can cope with life. It's what lays ahead that is too damn scary for me.

When our oldest was 14, (he's now 57) and mature enough to babysit his siblings, my wife and I began to study Yoga by candle light in a darkened Gym. Our teacher taught us the Yoga asanas, meditation, and reincarnation. Since then it has been easy to keep our lives on an even track and to foresee the future to some extent. Although there have been many unforeseen events, overall our foresight has paid off, and most of our surprises have been little-ones. A better understanding of the meaning of life can be achieved through the study of yoga, meditation, and a belief in reincarnation.

Hi barehugs, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences. I was never fortunate enough to learn yoga, although I wife I'd had that opportunity when I was younger. I have been doing some meditation in recent years, but again did not have the chance to learn from an instructor. All of my life I'm had a feeling that reincarnation was true, actually thinking that I'd lived before before I'd heard the word. For years I tried to put it out of my mind because I was involved with the Christian church and didn't think that such teachings could be correct. It was only when I discovered reincarnation in the Bible that things began to change for me. I was also surprised to learn that many Christians believed it and were taught it during the first five hundred years of the church's existence. Today I fully accept reincarnation and reject most of the teachings of the present day church. Blessings.

You are really right changes right now are very fast happening. What we can do about it, adapt on it. But I think when we adapt on it, we should not forget our old ways. We just need to keep on learning and never forget what we have learned. Have a nice day always my friends, happy mylotting!

Hi HeartROB, Thank you for your response and yes things are changing very fast. It's not so much that we should forget the old ways but be open enough to know when we have outgrown them. Blessings.

That's just about the only thing I am looking forward to in the future. It sounds very mystical and mysterious and that's what I love. Gets you out of the sleep work sleep daily routine. I have learned to meditate in the last few months and it has had very positive effects. I think I am ready because I am open to everything and accept my journey no matter what happens.

Hi nersersein, That sounds great and I wish you well. Meditation is one of the best practices that you can find anywhere. Having an open mind is very important in today's world. Thank you for responding. Blessings.

I would say that science is leading the way in this shift. The more we discover and can measure energy flows the more we are aware of what a small world we have been subject too. Now that we know there are vast realities we have been totally unaware of we can never put the cat back in the box so to say. I would love to come back in about five hundred years with the knowledge of the past in tact. Wouldn't that be exciting? Blessings

Hi savypat, Thank for responding and you may well be back in five hundred years. Also by then, we may have advanced enough to be able to handle total recall. Who knows? Blessings.
