Now here's a question for you lovley mylotters..... Lots of us on into being very thrifty and buying bargins and buying in bulk to make sure we get the savings etc. But where do you store all the thrift? I have a store cupboard in my dining room where I store food items and some plastic boxes to put my frozen foods in for the freezer. But I do lack space to store for more than a couple of weeks worth of goods. Upstairs I have one small cupbaord to store shampoos etc. So where do you put all your bargins?

My issue is lack f storage, when I was in colege I had 1 bedroom so I had it stored in the bathroom cupboard, and in my closet. When I move out I would get shelves and have 1 spot where I could store it. My friend has her entire basement full of storeage of deals she got.

Wow it must look like her own personal supermarket. My only worry of storing too much is that you can use it twice as quick because its just there

Thats good. I reember when I was a girl my mum tried ot shop on a monthly shop and we all eat the crisps and biscuits up before the month was up, just because they were there. There wasn't anywhere ot hid them from us

Yes, I am jealous and wish I had that much space. I am the opposite, even if I get it cheap or fre I will still be conscious about how I use it.

I store things wherever I possibly can. I have a wardrobe in which I store toiletries in the top but, I have a massive freezer so that's not an issue. I have an airing cupboard where I put tins if I run out of space in my kitchen. I just find space wherever I can.

Don't the tins get warm in the airing cupboard? Do you keep a list of where you store things? I would get lost with where I have stored things if I used too many places. Well done

No they don't get arm because my boiler has moved so I have a huge empty cupboard but I still call it the airing cupboard lot@. I don't keep a list I have a photographic memory so I normally remember.

I have a very big garage, but one of these days I am going to have to get in there and do some organizing. It is not near my house, but in a lovely resort community about 5 hours away. I spent a whole week getting it cleared out and properly stacked a couple years ago and then we had an earthquake and it got all messed up. This was after I had spent many long days getting it back in order after it was broken into by robbers who did not find anything to their liking but ransacked the place just the same. Ewww, what a mess. This was before they got security cameras installed. d

I'm actually not the kind of thrift shopper that does a lot of stock piling. I will buy a little bit more of something when I get an excellent price for it, but it is something that I can store in the normal places, for example when I stock up on laundry detergent I keep it in my laundry room. If I buy extra shampoo I will keep it in my vanity, etc. Now when it comes to buying food in bulk, we do have an upright freezer in our storage room and I will store my extra food in there.

It is amazing what you can actually freeze these days. I'm always bulk baking cupcakes etc to keep in the freezer

My "stash" is usually tactical clothing and boots, things like that. I get these items when they are on closeout and are a real low priced bargain. I have shelves downstairs that I keep some of it on, some I have in an off-site storage locker. I don't do that much with food, as I never know what I might be hungry for at a particular time.

Thank you so much for sharing. We tend to store food as we tend to eat very much the same sort of foods os worth buying extras etc. Don't normally store many clothes, but do have clothes in wardrobe that I don't wear very often, tend to wear the same thnigs every day

I mean the same sorts of clothes, jeans and fleeces, and t shirts, not the same set of clothes, I do wash clothes every day. Washing machine never stops in my house. My last comment made it sound like I live in the same set of clothes and never wash them. would hate people to think I did that, as I don't I'm a very clean person

we have a fairly large freezer that we got for free and we put a lot of foods in there to keep and we have a small pantry down stairs in the basement where we store most of the other stuff. the extra shampoos, etc are kept under the sink in the kitchen.

Thanks for sharing. We have two freezers, a large one and a small fridge size one. At the moment they are both very full, as are all my storage places. Sadly no room to make any more space or add any cupbaords etc.

I am not a thrift shopper. I only buy back up of things I use alot so I don't run out of those things. Like pain reliever, laundry detergant, trash bags and deorderate. I also make sure I don't run out of milk! I hate when I do! I have seen shows of "Extreme couponers". People have like their garages or a whole room in the house of all the items they buy! I think it is insane! My mom did this and alot of times she bought things she never would used! Then there times she bought so much stuff we never used it! So I am not a thrift shopper and never will!

I try and keep at least three of everyday items, just in case the shop hasn't them when I want them, others only one of and preplace when I start the spare. A few items I have more of but only because the shop that they came from is far away and I don't go to the shop that often, but the buys are good so buy a bit more of them when I'm there. I have in the past brought bulk of something and never used it, so I am very careful now as ot what I buy and when I buy etc I could never go extreme regardless of how much space I have, which isn't much at the mo
