Well Obama won the election and has promised to lead us. That is lead us forward, as if we understood what that means. We have some some good test for the democrat regime to show us if their ways work or not work. Californians have agreed to raise the taxes on the rich. Lets see in a few years if that works or if it doesn't. I tried to make a pack with some democrat buddies at work, that if this works in California, I will become a democrat. And if it doesn't owrk in California, then they would become republican. They declined. Why? Don't they agree with the people they voted for? Won't the rich move to California so they can pay more taxes and help California recover. Or will the rich and the businesses they own move out of California and make things worse? We have the perfect test case in front of us. It didn't work in New York, but it could work in California, yeah, likely! One good thing about socialism as Margeret Thatcher said. It works well until they run out of other people's money to spend. Trouble is the ones that get all of the freebies riot when they stop getting their freebies. So Obama and crew lead us forward. Same as the last four years. No budget, 6 trillion in debt. Forward to the fiscal cliff. Forward march!

What you say is true of moderates.. but as a conservative american, I don't like the 'news' media being slanted (very much so) liberal.. and all one hears about republicans is what the democrats say about them, til the decades long condescension is turning into hate your guts hatred. I feel this is extremely unfortunate and does not bode well for the future in which my grand children will be living in. - Conservatives / republicans do not want to make government the care taker. We view all rights as being inalienable (unable to be taken away). But the idea that government is the granter and giver of rights, sooner or later, down the road, leads to abuses and, well, tyranny. Human nature does not demonstrate any reason for us to believe otherwise and we feel it's imperative to keep the constitutional, and branch checking of powers, fully intact.

Help you what? Turn the country into a socialistic country? We are the problem. Obama and company is doing the spending, the republicans have been saying no! Where is your basis to support what you said crossbones. Obama and company what to raise taxes on everything and raise taxes. He wants big government. And with that our corporations are leaving. Our whining and saying no is the only thing that has not allowed to fall of the cliff you guys are leading us to. Help you what, spend anothe 6 trillion dollars in debt? Help you what? And like dragon, I don't blame the president. We know what he stands for. I blame the idiots that voted hiim into office. Greece, Italy, Portugal, France and Spain economies are doing what Obama wants to do. And you guys voted him in to do the same to us.

I don't blame Obama as much anymore, I've come to the realization that our electorate has been deliberately dumbed down so much that they don't even know what they're throwing away. AND THAT is the fault of the people who allowed Wilson, FDR and LBJ to give us all those neat social programs that now account for 2/3s of federal spending and if and when the whole thing collapses, THEY are the ones who will riot, us conservatives will get to work and rebuild it all.

Yes, forward--as in the wealthy moving forward into Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and other states that don't have such punitive tax rates. The wealthy have been migrating from New York in droves the past few years as New York raised taxes so I expect California's exodus to increase--many have already left and not only the wealthy. When I lived in Arizona, Californians flocked there to escape the high taxes. They could sell their houses there, buy one in AZ and have a nice nest egg left over for investment or pleasure. Pleasure usually won out in those days before the housing bust, unfortunately, but California is no longer a land of opportunity for those who want to get ahead.

For one thing President Obama owns the economy. He had two years with no opposition and got very little done. now is the time for him to put forth a detailed plan. He demanded that Gov Romney be specific not it is his turn. We don't need another stimulus with no specific direction. We also need to know how it will be paid for. We can not say we will cut spending in the future. Any such spending cut could be changed by another congress or president. What needs to be done is you have to cut total programs and scale back other programs. Every Congressman and Senator should come up with a list of one Trillion in budget cuts. When the lists are complied any program that has a majority of the members list is automatically cut then those remaining items are voted on one at a time with no debate. This is done until every item has been voted on and if they haven't cut enough they go through the list again. No Christmas recess until the job is done.

Unions demanding more than businesses can give and stay in business. Federal government with its programs and regulations costing businesses to fold. Businesses are closing their doors and cutting hours, staff...just to stay afloat. But HEY, the people get theirs! Hasn't ANYONE read the Fall of the Roman Empire?
