There was one last thing that I needed to get for Christmas and that was a pair of jeans for Kathryn. I've really had a time with finding the right size for her. Well, my mother had a 30% off coupon for Kohls and she told me that I could go there with her on Friday to look for jeans for Kathryn. I was honestly only going to the store to get the jeans, but when I walked in the doors, I saw purses and that reminded me that my purse was getting worn out. I love the purse that I had and I really wanted to find another in the same style and since I'd gotten that at Kohls I thought maybe they would have one. They did and it was $19.99 instead of $40 before the 30% off coupon. Then I was drawn to clearance racks (I learned that from my mother at a very young age). The clearance was an additional 25% off of the reduced prices. I found four new short sleeved shirts for myself and spent about 12 dollars for all four of them. Then I found a cute outfit for Kathryn marked down to $12.80 from $55 plus 25% off and then the 30% off of the entire purchase. We found jeans for Kathryn for 50% off as well. I got a shirt for Tom for $6.80 before the 30% off and I got a shirt and pair of pants for Paul. Mom bought a dress for my middle niece, a pair of jeans and a shirt for Kathryn and a board game that we will be able to play as a family at her house. The total was $97 for everything and we saved $350 off of original prices. I'd say that we did great. Have you had any great deals lately? Please share your shopping experiences with me since I love to live vicariously through other people.

I found a bunch of gold star clearence deals when my 30% was active too! I stocked up on shorts for my oldest who's had a growth spurt and I don't have too many shorts for her in the next size up. The most expensive things I bought were a few pairs of capri's that were $5 something before the additional discounts. Otherwise the shorts were like $3 something and most of the tee's were $2 ish or less.

I didn't buy anything for me either. I wanted to but I don't nor plan on being in this size any longer than necessary. I've lost some weight but not quite in the place I need to for the next size down, hopefully back to the gym today! But it would of been a nice idea to stock up on smaller sizes for me if I knew I'd get there.

Oh, I have to say that it was just great. I know that they had a lot of really nice shorts and capris that I would have liked to have stocked up on as well. However, I've been going through a thing where I've been losing weight on a pretty regular basis and I don't want to run the risk of buying stuff for myself right now that I run the risk of not fitting me when the right season to wear the clothes comes along. With the shirts, I'm little on the top to start with so I really don't see myself moving to a smaller top size.

I wish that I had the option of getting to the gym, but right now we are just not able to afford that. Oh well, that will probably be something that I will be able to afford when it is closer to my birthday.

I love clearance racks. I used to haunt them. Didn't do any cloths shopping this Christmas, but I did get some things used. I got my daughter a used iPhone that wasn't too expensive, and I got the kids a refurbished PS3. Merry Christmas!

I do clothes for the kids every year simply because of the fact I like for them to have new clothes. In past years I've done a really good job with getting things used, but this year it wasn't something that I did. I would have loved, however, to have been able to get a xbox 360 for the entire family. Oh well, I guess I will do that sometime in the spring.

I will do a lot of shopping after Christmas when I can save .75 to 90% on Christmas Decorations. I shop year round for gifts, so have items wrapped under the tree already.

I too shop year round for gifts and that is the reason that I only needed that one thing right before Christmas. The reason that I waited on the jeans for Kathryn was because of the fact that I didn't really know what size that she was going to need. She's been going through a lot of growth spurts.

I am staying out of the stores until after Christmas...Then I do enjoy shopping for some real bargains. I don't really need anything but who knows what you can find. Usually I am drawn to craft stores and pick up some Christmas papers etc on sale.

After I went to Kohl's on Friday, I was done shopping and I had intended to not be in another store until after Christmas. However, I did have to go and get some soda on Sunday and it was awful. I'm talking that I had to stand in line to check out for so long that I drank an entire pop before I was even able to leave the store. I hope that never happens to me again.

I just love Kohl's. I adored going there when my daughter lived in North Carolina as hte prices during the sales were fantastic. You did great and got wonderful bargains. My daughter was in Tennessee for Thanksgiving and I gave her a little money to do Christmas shopping for me. She can stretch a dollar so did hit the sales and bought all the presents for the grnad children for me plus my sons. You did so well - many congratulations

I love Kohls! I never buy anything from Kohls at full price because I know eventually it all goes on sales (and then you get the coupons or Kohl's cash to go with it) - and you can find some serious deals there (like you did!). I got done with shopping about a while ago (now I want to avoid stores because of the Christmas rush), so I'll have to think about this. The latest I can think of is the ham I got from Fresh and Easy the other day. It was on sale for 60% off . . . so I got a big ol' ham that was supposed to be almost $12 for almost $5. Besides that, I had some Fresh and Easy rewards to redeem (like around $7 to get whatever I want), some coupons that were "Made For Me" via email, and the usual $10 off of a $50 purchase, so in the end I got like $78 worth of stuff ending up to be about $54. I'm barely here these days . . . wanted to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas!!

And I certainly hope that you and your family had a great Christmas as well. We had a good Christmas and the only thing that would have made it better was if my sister-in-law hadn't been in such a bad mood when we were over there yesterday.
