Happy Khuay Year

My morning started off as usual, I was freezing when I woke up...where the heck were the blankets? I looked to the right side of the bed and there was Khuay, happily curled up in the tons of blankets that I sleep under. He was soooo cute and innocent looking laying there asleep under all the covers...purring to himself in total contentment. I struggled to move Willy and Ding Ding so that I could snatch some of my covers back from Khuay. I finally gave up and crawled out of bed. Of course my movement woke up Khuay who jumped out of bed. He did his morning stretching exercises and then greeted Abby (the pit/lab mix) like usual. He then took his morning swat at his brother Willy and then ambled down the hall way towards the kitchen. I struggled to walk the few feet to the bathroom and had just sat down on the throne when Khuay started his morning catisthenics. I heard the thundering of those delicate paws that can sneak around so quietly as they carried the insane little guy down the hallway, and the sloshing of Khuay making his landing on the waterbed and the thud of his landing on the floor again...and more thundering as he raced towards the workroom. Usually that takes care of his wake-up exercises but this morning he added two more laps. I was still sitting on the throne when the thundering paws made the final loop from the work room to my bed, to the floor and then they thundered part way down the hall way and then the scrambling sound as he made a left turn into the bathroom, up on the counter... then suddenly he spotted one of my hair bands that I use for my pony tails. He didn't expect one to be sitting there and it startled him. I giggled as all four dainty kitty paws left the counter top in a spectacular leap and as the leap carried him from the counter top of the vanity to the bath tub. Unfortunately the dainty paws misjudged the leap and Khuay landed in the dish pan that I use for their water!!! I was trying so hard not to laugh as those delicate paws made another HUGE leap out of the water dish, out of the bath tub, and out of the bathroom in one leap- and then I heard the thundering of paws racing for the work room. As I finished my morning "sit", laughing through the whole thing, I grabbed a towel and raced to catch up with my poor sopping wet clown so that I could dry him off before he got too chilled. I found him on the floor in the work room, sopping wet with one droplet of water dribbling down his nose. So much for his morning catisthenics! What a way to start the New Year! Happy New Year from the beloved clown in my family....Khuay.

I was all toasty warm in my bed and Pong was walking over me demanding his breakfast! Actually, I woke up sometime before 7 with a headache - never a good sign - and gave myself a shot of nose spray. Woke up a bit later, still hurting and still stopped up, so I went through the ordeal of rolling over. In comes Pong, wanting breakfast! I told him later and went back to sleep. I woke up the next time wondering if anyone had let the dogs out (Zoe doesn't hold it so good now that she's 11ish.) At least this time I wasn't hurting. I did use my new Christmas gift, a Homedics Sound Spa last night for the first time - had ocean waves all night! When I finally hauled myself out of the nice warm bed, I had to put the dogs out, then visit the throne, then let the dogs in. Finally I could go feed the pest, I mean, the Pong. While the roomie took her shower, I gathered a load of laundry and then did my shower after she got out THEN started the wash. We went out and had lunch with her nephew and his family. Here it is, almost 4 and we've just been done with lunch like an hour... oh, and that was breakfast too!

hik lover bear how can you not have a Happy New Y ear with Khuay the clown kitty cat. I alughed so hard I was cryong .so funnyand I am just reading this not e4ven there. lollol. I do love cats so much as they are serious, sober, funny, exciting name it and they can do it. I had a black male tom I called Midnight. He was big but oh so gentle. He had a habit of waking me up when he thought I had to get up to feed his rumble y tummy. He would sit on my chest and watch me sleep. Then he patted my lips with a dainty paw.never scratched me and purred loudly. Then I would open my eyes to see him eyeball to eyeball with me and then he meowed loudly. I sat up and he flew to the doorway. I got up and he wove back and forth between my legs alternately purring and meowing like he just was going to die if I did not feed him. It broke my heart to have to find him a home where someone else would love him as much as I had. We had sold our house and could not find an apartment we could afford that would take pets. so I made darned sure Midnight had the home he deserved,My mom took him as she had a house and she loved him too..

Khuay, for some reason I don't think the New year would start off right without one of your antics... My New Year, however, started off with a tiny headache followed by a day of dog sitting and reading, and then I come back a few minutes ago and opened my e-mail to see I won a book from one of my favorite authors who had a contest I entered. I never thought I'd win and I can't wait to get my book..

My headache was due to a little too much champagne, but after a good breakfast, I was fine and went over to let my neighbor's dog out without any problems. If Khuay gets a motorcycle wheel on his nose, I want a picture!!! As for the "book" I think I was wrong, I didn't win one book, but 10 or more, I am not sure. Because from the list, some books are worth 1/2, (so two of these books would be 1 book) and then some books are worth, well 1 book. And when I reread it, I won 10 books, and from the list, I think all but one was 1/2 book, and Camy Tang, the author, was kind in trying to help me understand and even told me one I picked, she already ordered from Amazon and has it shipped to me along with an "autographed bookplate sticker" also, this list wasn't just her books, though I picked all her Love/Inspired/Suspense books, I also had choices from other authors I know..:D So I guess until I receive the books, I won't know exactly what I won... That is wonderful, using the money for a nice coat, you totally deserve it.. Though I won't be selling my books, I intend to read them on any break I can get once school starts...lol

The greatest gift that Bill gave me was the Kindle Fire! Since I received it last year I have over 250 books on it. I have had a ball reading some of them, including the Crap Chronicles and Holy Schmidt. It is also great because I can down load my text books on it and not have to stagger under the weight of thousand pages or more of text books. My other Kindle, which is the original, is the one I lean on for my word exercises. The books I have in hard copy I don't sell either. I suppose I could, but I have always treasured books from the time I was three years old when I was given picture books. I am in the middle of figuring out how I want to rearrange my shelves so I can have my books in my work room where they are handy for reference and I have easier access to them. Thank you for your support about the coat! With the back and chest pain I can't stand anything that is tight against either area...besides the fact that the coats I have purchased have been from the thrift shop and a brand new coat is going to be a huge treat! I just hope that there is one that I really like... Humm, you need a new sister? I could use some family!

I still wonder if I would enjoy a kindle, because I do most of my pleasure reading in bed and the books I read are soft cover, so it feels cozier than I think a hard electronic device would be. I hear you on the "coat" thing. Mine are also thrift shop deals, and just once I'd like to be able to pick out color and style...

My circus team: my 5 cats - I have 5 cats and they make my laugh loud when they all began to jump together
Hi dear Khuay & team hi dear Loverbear, receive a lot of hugs and kisses from the circus of this town: Whiskas, Batman, Margarina, Margalo and Tiggrette. Thanks you for sharing this lovely moments with us. Cats can really make us laugh. When my smallest kid asks me: mommy why God made cats? I answer him - God made cats to make our life sweeter -. What do you think about it? Yesterday "my team" they were all jumping and playing and pursuing each other on our livingroom, I was laughing loud. Blessings to all and each of you, happy 2013 ... dainy

You're right, not only did God make cats to make our lives sweeter, but God made sure I got Khuay and Willy to make my life a little less painful. Each morning I start the day in excruciating pain in my legs from the arthritis in my right knee and the failed replacement knee in the left leg. I struggle to make it to the bathroom, trying to overlook the pain...to be honest there are times that I don't make it! But as I lower my fanny onto the throne, I am met by two sets of beautiful blue eyes set in two creamy white bodies with orange ears and tails. They stare deeply into my eyes as if to say "We know that you're in so much pain that you're ready to give up totally...but we're here to love you as much as our kitty hearts can love you. Those two sets of blue eyes are sometimes the only thing that keeps me going...So, the next time your smallest child asks you "Why God made cats?" You can tell him that not only do them make our lives sweeter but they give us all the love their hearts can hold, and then they give us more love! I don't think I would be able to get up each day without the love of my animals. They know when I am down and find ways to make me laugh and feel better. They seem to plan on ways to be cute and have me racing for my camera...I'm going to look for the shot of Khuay hovering over the pot I was cooking a lobster tail in...and above all they are so much comfort. Thank you for reminding me why God made cats...and I hope your year is as full of the joy and blessings that your one post gave me! You really made my New Year!

Aww... Poor Khuay. I must've scared my youngest this morning. She'd startled me with her leap onto the kitchen counter while I was at the sink. She landed on something and made a clattering; I jumped and said, "Trying to give me a heart attack?" To this she spun around and leaped off the counter and disappeared into another room.

That is a fun way to start the new year, Khuay always makes me laugh with his lovely kitty antics wether it be chasing his tail, swatting at his brother, falling into the water bowl, he always has something interesting like that going on. Give him a hug and a kiss from me~

Oh my! Harmony is a lot more mellow and laid back, just does a few stretches now and then. But she will follow me to the washroom and jump up on the sink, looking for a drink of water.
