Funny Requests

I don't know what would you think about it my friends. This morning I was busy updating my sites when I received a message from my mother. It says, "I can't open my facebook account. Can I go to your house tomorrow? I'll bring my laptop." I don't know how I would react on this because if I would tell her that my sister who is living near her house can also do that, she might be hurt thinking that I don't want to see her so I said okay. After a while, I received another text from my office mate, "Can you donate one square meter of land for the construction of church?" It's good that I asked how I will do that? She replied that I just have to give certain amount because that is the price of a square meter of lot. Okay. So I got two equally funny request in a day. If everyday I'll be receiving this kind of messages, I'm sure in no time my hair will all be gray. Have a nice day everyone!

At least they're asking for your permission nicely and not showing up right there and then ask for what they want. But the thing is, it's hard to say no for people who asks nicely right? If you are happy helping them out then why not.

He he. I am happy about it. Perhaps my mom just miss me and cannot think of any other reason for coming to the house. And my office mate, I am quite the way she made the request. Imagine asking me to donate a square meter of land. Well, anyway, I have a good start for this year so I think everything should be shared. Thank you for sharing!

It's really funny to imagine carrying a square meter of land and then give it to your office mate like handing her a piece of something with arms wide open

Maybe your mum just wanted to see you and used the 'I can't open my facebook account' as an excuse to pop over! You sound like me, you are sensitive to others and the last thing you want to do is hurt anyone, especially your mum unintentionally. I am sure your mum appreciated you helping her and it probably made her day seeing her lovely daughter.

He he. That is also what I am thinking. She would really come from time to time specially if she needs something to be done which is related to school. Maybe she just want to see me. Thank you, not for participating but for telling me that I am lovely. he he Have a nice day!

That's good that you were asked to donate. I had an experience that I was immediately given a receipt worth 1,000 pesos for me to give to the school as my donation. I was not allowed to refuse but I was able to evade it. I didn't know what happened but I just ignored it that I regretted later. As for your mom, I guess she just made facebook as her alibi. I guess you have to spend most of your spare time to your mom. Life is too short and we need to have more time for each other. You know, when I lost my mom, I wished that I had spent more time during her last years on earth.

I am a type of person who is not hard to talk to about anything. It I can give I will do it without hesitation. As to my mother, yes, that could be the reason so I must give her more time. Thank you for this advice. I really appreciate it. Have a nice day!

Sounds like your mother would like to visit with you. The old-fashioned way - in person. She could ask someone to tell her step by step how to open her facebook via the phone or email but, she probably would like to just have a nice chat with you and be able to give you a hug. So, be grateful that your mother is asking for your assistance. By her willing to ask you for help actually makes both your lives and your relationship a lot easier. The second request did sound a little odd in the way it was written. You should reply that yes, you are willing to donate one square meter of land from your backyard, but not sure which square meter that the church would prefer. :) Anyways, glad that you can laugh at the funny requests that you received. :)

Hi ZoeJoy! Yeah, I see it that way too. My mother just want to see me. So she will be coming today. About my friend's request, first time really that I received such kind of request. I just thought would this be the new trend? That if someone would ask for a favor, you would be asked to donate a part of something? Thank you for sharing!

That's really funny. It seems your mother just loves facebook and really addicted to it. And you have done right thing by calling her at home otherwise she will definitely taken it in a wrong way. And your office mate texted you in indirect and funny way as she might be thinking that asking directly for donation will not look cool. So you really have some funny people around you. Enjoy and have a nice day

Hi auntie. Thank you for dropping by. Just part of life I think. You know I am a very positive person and I consider everything as a blessing. Blessing in a way that I was able to use it as a good topic to share with everybody. Have a nice day!

My mother is like yours too. Every time she's having a problem online with her FB account, she would ask me. But unlike you, I have no sister that she can count on in times like that so I have no choice but to be there for her. She is very forgetful and tend to forget the whereabouts of her laptop.

A funny request makes your hair turn grey? I never heard about that expression. Sorrows/problems turn you hair grey. I also don't understand why it's funny if you mother asks to use your internet connection no matter if you sister is living closer to her as you do. There are plenty of reason why she is asking. I find it normal if my daughters use my laptop if they come in (the ones not living here), also have no problem if someone else does. And if they use their own smartphone/laptop it's fine too. The other request.. I think if I had several of these I would not like that. I also don't like the way it's asked since it's just a hidden way to ask for money. No matter if it's for church or something else, be straight about what you want. It would not turn my hair grey but I surely would be very annoyed in the last case.

My mom will travel for hours before reaching my place. It's not about the internet connection. Simple matters like this should not be brought to me anymore. I just consider the thing funny although made me think a lot. What will I have to tell my mother? Do I have to tell her that my sister can do it for her. What would be the result if I will do that? So many questions before I could it's okay. That is why I said that if everyday I would be receiving requests like this my hair would turn grey. On the other request, I find it funny but on the other hand, it will cost me something. I just can't say no this time. Thank you for sharing!

Hi friend, good to know about your funny requests. I think your mother likes you lot, so only she asked help from you than your sister. Your friend is having lot of trust and faith with you and believe you will contribute the money, so she asked it from you. Both of the requests shows you are kind and helping person.

Hello, Vid. Thank you for the compliment. I am a kind of person which is not hard to talk to about something. My reason is that if I have the capacity to give what the person is asking, I wouldn't think twice. Have a nice day and thank you for sharing.

That might sounds funny for you but for them it's not just like your mother.Maybe she's very eager to update also her profile or even read her fiend's messages. We might not take it as a serious matter but for them is such a very important issue.Sometimes I also notice that parents who have their age tends to easily disappointed if you failed to give their wants.
