Does It Matter Whether God Is Male or Female? Does She Love You Any Different?

I don't think so. Sharing the link http://www.thechurchoflatterdays.org/ on my Facebook-page, I mentioned that it reminded me of the crazy Muslims who want to dive-bomb us infidels who won't call Our Father G*d "Al" or "Dieter" or "Trixie" or whatever name their ancestors came up with. So what's up? Would "Cae Cae" love us any differently than "Yahweh"?

I think G-d can come down in Any form. For me He better come down as a male essence. With all the things women have to go through in this life if G-d were female, the B1tch would have some explaining to do!

I never knew that they were like that. God created man in his image....Woman was created from mans rib..

Genesis 1:27 implies that the male and the female can both be called "man", so while the male was created directly in the image of God, the female, though made from man, is still also in God's image. But God does reveal Himself as male rather than female.

Well, in English the word 'man' can mean male or person, a male was originally a wapman and a female a wifman. So, it is implied by the word 'man' though if it is also implied in the Hebrew is another matter all the best, urban

Maybe "God" is more like a 'council' of deities---like King Arthur's Round Table or the Executive Branch of U.S. government ... since He was always saying 'Let us create such-a-thing or do such-&-such.' Genesis 1:27 says "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Maybe man was originally 'both sexes' (much like Lady Gaga was once rumored to have been), and G*d took out the part that made Adam a lady. (In Genesis 5, it says He created male & female and called them Adam )

Do you really think that God is male or female?

The name "Cae Cae" is associated with a deity that's unlike the God of the Bible, so it would be perverse to use it to denote Him. God chose to reveal Himself as male rather than female and scripturally the relationship of Christ to His Church is a perfect fulfillment of the relationship of a man to his wife. The Church is the Bride of Christ, not the Groom of Christ. However, woman does not possess any good qualities peculiar to her that God does not Himself possess, so to that extent God is female.

But maybe the Church SHOULD BE the husband of Christ our wife! Think about it: the husband goes out and does work to bring treasure to the wife at home, just as the Church must bring the 'treasure' of newly-saved souls to Christ in Heaven! Does Christ go out and make the money for donations to give to the Church-congregation? No! He's a good woman, taking care of things in Heaven until we finish enough work to go back to Christ there.

It depends whether you think the Scripture is binding on you or not. It's the Scripture that calls the Church the Bride of Christ. And actually, the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 bringeth her food from afar.

Verses 10-31 are an acrostic poem, the verses of which begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Proverbs 31:10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. (12) Does that mean he knows her from birth? like King Arthur (Sean Connery) knew Guinivere (Julia Ormond)? (23) Does this mean that it's better to marry in older age? (28) Does her husband praise her instead of G*d (i.e. praising G*d through her? Where does one find such a worthy woman? At http://www.proverbs31.org/about-us/ maybe?

mythociate I don't think of God as exclusivly either male or female. God is all. I use the female role just to tease those who claim God can only be male

The problem is using male or female to descibe God. God created male and female for procreation. God cannot procreate what he has created. The entity is neither male or female but rather an "it" or force that is responsible for all creation.

But 'it' DID impregnate the Virgin Mary Was she still a virgin if G*d was male? Does female-on-female action count as 'deflowering'? If G*d were an 'it,' would that make the Immaculate Conception 'beastiality'?

God, it is written, is omnipotent and therefore must have both male and female potentialities, so you can say God is male or God is female or God is neither or both. All such statements are equally as meaningful and meaningless all the best, urban

Gender is a parameter of this physical body. We are Spiritual beings in our true natures just like God. When we are no longer in our physical bodies, gender will mean nothing to us as well. God has always been referred to as He. We know that is not accurate. As for a name to call God, God actually has no name. You will discover that names are not needed. We already Know each other. Feel free to use any title you wish for God. A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Mythociate. You are right. God will not love us any differently regardless of the title. God loves us all Unconditionally.

"God" is both male and female AND CHILD. The energy that we know as 'god' is a trinity. And it's represented in all religions. The Christians try to elude to this fact by calling the divine feminine "the holy ghost". But the truth still can be found there as well. I believe that most only have a one sided view of 'god' some focus on the feminine while others focus on the masculine.
