Better than I thought..

So, my son had to decorate a little cereal box for school.. they were making leprechaun traps. I went to the dollar store to get him some stuff to decorate his box with. I couldn't find stickers or anything cool like that.. so I ended up getting these tiny little confetti type things and some glue to glue them onto the box. I was worried the glue wasn't going to be very good.. since it was dollar store glue. It wasn't even bottled glue, it was a glue stick, which I don't use much so I'm not sure if it's good or not. But he decorated his little box.. and created a trap of his own. He glued some paper sticking out, like a ramp, so that when the leprechaun stepped on the ramp the box would fall on him, pinning him there. Creative little boy he is! (He's the 6 year old, btw). Well.. I needn't have worried about the glue. This morning I went to clean up the mess he left of confetti shamrocks on my kitchen table.. and most of them were glued to the table. I had a heck of a time getting them off.. and there's still remnants of glue and glitter on my kitchen table. Guess the glue was a lot better than I thought. Have you ever been surprised by the quality of something you bought at a dollar store?

I can just see you clearing up the glue and confetti Actually, I have nevr had a dud deal from the dollar store. maybe because my money was always limited so I chose so carefully on what to spend. I still have a ssewing kit that I bought about four years ago and it is in good condition. I used to like buying two or three things to make a gift for christmas or birthday for someone

I've done that too. One time we bought soap at the dollar store and it was awful and smelled terrible while being used. It smelled nice in the bottle but not once it got suds up. So I am a bit picky about what I buy at the dollar store. I know most of their stuff is cheap quality.. you get what you pay for.

I honestly don't do a lot of shopping at the Dollar Tree because of the fact that the line to check out there is always far too long. However I do go to the Family Dollar from time to time and I've found that I like their cleaning products a lot more than I like the more expensive cleaning products that I get from Wal-Mart and the like. First of all they are a lot less expensive and secondly I love to get these cleaning products there because I feel like the are more effective than the more expensive brands.

I've been guilty of recently frequenting our dollar store near here because I've discovered the Mars Dark Chocolate! I don't usually buy chocolate bars, and I wouldn't think of the dollar store as the first place to go to for a sugar fix, but ever since I've discovered it 2 weeks ago, I've been finding excuses to go to the store. It's better than any other chocolates bars that I usually buy from the little store right beside Wal-Mart.

I have bought some things at the Dollar Tree and have been very pleased. I buy most of my cleaning products and also a lot of craft things for my nephews and niece. My niece wanted to make Christmas Ornaments for the family and for her teacher. I bought her styrofoam balls and also some beads so we can decorate them. We both had a great time. I am glad that your son loves to be creative.
