Too Good To Be True

I knew it was too good to be true, when we were having 70 degree weather the first part of March. The last couple of days, we've been lucky to get up into the 30's and the wind chills you to the bone. One day we even had some flurries (snow). It makes me angry that I was bragging about the nice weather and then we get hit with "reality!" Have you ever bragged about how some thing was too good to be true and then suddenly reality slaps you in the face? lol God must have a good sense of humor!

We have had the similar set of ups and downs on the weather. The weather man reminded us tonight that what we are experiencing is real spring. the last several years we have jumped straight into summer without having the warm and cold and hot days all mixed in.

Oh, yes. We've had "early spring" then we've had blizzard conditions. It's typical spring weather for here, though. I try not to brag when it's nice because I know what can happen! Today is warm, but windy and we're not supposed to have many more freezing nights, but we shall see. As you said, God has a good sense of humor! It keeps life interesting, anyway.

HE sure does. I also wonder if GOD is getting even with those who say "we are in global warming." and then I start to think, "well this is the end of the world, and of course, The beast and his minions will make sure that people will have to have a mark on their forehead and hand in order to buy and sell. Then what would force them to buy and sell rather then grow their food themselves. Why make sure the weather is so bad that nothing will grow." I have to check to see if this is normal for Manitoba and then if it is, because last year, when I had a few extra tomatoes that I grew, I will kick myself for not putting more money into a garden.

I think he does. Last year at this time the temp was in the 80's....now today it was 17 for the high...though the sun is strong and is melting things it's still nothing but cold! We had a blizzard yesterday and the day before....Its time for summer to find it's way to Minnesota!

Wow! The weather there is at extremes isn't it? Here it was cold today. It was 70 plus degrees the last few days. Today we have been under tornado watches. It's thundering and lightening right now. I'm glad I got supper done and the dishes washed.

We tend to brag about things that are out of our hands and often things tends to go otherwise and that is when we look like a fool. So yah, Been there, done that!

What's that saying? People make plans, and God laughs... We got some snow earlier this evening, but it's the drizzly kind, possibly turning to freezing rain. I remember in the early 70s ('73, I think) it was 90° on St Patrick's day in southern Ontario. Then it snowed two days later. A lot.

That's a funny subject. Our groundhog saw it's shadow so it is supposed to be an early spring but here it is March 18 and tomorrow it will be 34°! Our first day of winter is predicted to have a few little snow flurries. We had a few really nice days here and I lamented that it's been dreary and rainy but then my son called from Arizona saying the weather was 95° and it'll soon hit 100° and more. Consider this--we have 4 distinct seasons. By the time we get tired of the one we're in, another is right around the corner with all its great stuff! In Arizona (where I lived for 28 miserable years and (God help me) I'm trying to move back to in order to be with my sons) it's 2 seasons--summer and a mix of spring and fall. over 100° 9 months a year, and I'm talking a LOT over that. Endless sunshine, hardly any change in the weather. I was diagnosed clinically depressed, the opposite of SAD! It's hell on earth for some and heaven for others but it's HOT!!! Children are rushed to the hospital with burns from playground equipment, you can't grow anything because the sun kills it and you rarely know the coziness of bundling up in front of a fire--it's usually, "hey, it's hot, let's cuddle some other time!" And once the temps exceed 100° the murder rates double. Now, do you appreciate your home state a little more?

Yup, countless of times. And so I have just learned to not get my heart and mind into it unless I am sure that it is really happening at hand. It is hard to be made to believe of something real good and then you realize that it was just a blah!

Well I was excited about the weather being warmer everyday, until this weekend slapped me with a 25 and 27. I swear I was shocked that I started getting sick and feeling bad.

No I have not been bragging about, the weather here in Virginia because, it still is cold here, I am still using my heater to keep warm, I will not stop wearing my winter clothes, until we get in the 80's and the 90's, because march weather is very cold and hot most the time.

Hi Stoutjodee Well that is exactly what happened today. Finally the snow was melting away oh it really felt like spring and as I am typing we are having a snow storm, the winds are high and it is really cold out.
