If you don't post about it..

Did it really happen? These days with social media, everytime someone goes somewhere, they post about it on Facebook or some other site. They post pictures and selfies of everything they do. They "check in" to say that they're there. So we were walking around just looking at things, and I started wondering. Does it count if I don't post that I'm here? Or will it only count if I check in and tell the whole world that yes, I have gone to the fair this year? Well, I did end up posting a couple of pictures from my visit... so all of my Facebook friends know that I did go to the fair. And now you all know too.. When you go some place cool, do you have to prove it by posting it on Facebook?

Sure it happened. if you don't post about it and actually live in the moment, it actually happenes in real life and not just behind a monitor

@Boonie1 Yeah they really do, and I'm probably one of them. Time to let go and just enjoy my life.

Of course it happened! No need to prove it on FB - FB is just FB - it's there if you want to make an announcement of something (and you know some do it way more than others). These days I have a love/hate relationship with FB. I used to post "everything" but now I just want to keep things low - I feel like being private about things for whatever reason. It's weird, but sometimes I take pride in knowing that everyone there have no clue what's going on in my life - not that they all care - and I like it like that. Hope you enjoyed the fair!

Yeah, I'm the same way. I hardly use FB anymore, and I've unfollowed most of my friends because their updates were so annoying. Like I'm still friends with them, but I don't always see their feed.

@much2say No, I tend to find that it's very depressing because my friends are all doing cool things that I am too busy or too broke to do so I get upset that I can't do it too... so I try not to dwell on Facebook too much anymore. That and all the annoying posts I end up more aggravated at Facebook than amused.

@katsmeow1213 Ha ha - don't you love those annoying posts? I don't go there as much, and I barely go scroll through the newsfeed with the little time I have, so I'm automatically not seeing what all is going on with everyone. I sure don't spend loads of time there like I used to!

I do not share everything on Facebook. As there are people I do not want to know what i am doing.

I would get paranoid if I posted my every move like a lot I see in my friends and family circle. Like when someone posts they're at the movies. Well, the Facebook profile says our names, so an easy lookup would tell you that person's home address. What a great time to go see if there is something to rob while such and such is at a movie with their spouse.

My facebook page is pretty private. Only my friends can see the things I post, and I'm really picky about who I add as a friend. Half the people on my friend's list know exactly where my house is because they all live near me!

It didn't really happen if there's not picture! Of course, it really happened. It's just that YOU weren't there, too! If I go some place that is really cool, I like to post it to share because there might be a good chance that some people have never been there and might like to see a photo of it. I haven't been to any county fairs for several years. I've never been to a state fair.

I rarely post anything to my personal Facebook account. I do take photos to post on my blog, but that's commercial. It's not to prove I've been somewhere. I take photos to inspire me to write and to illustrate what I write. I hardly have any of myself.

I never go anywhere special so no. I am a homebody more than anything, as I love sitting in my easy chair and doing things on the computer, whether it be facebook, or other places. I enjoy mylot more than facebook anyway.
