Everybody is Talking About It

So far I've been hesitant, I often am when something new appears and becomes the talk of the town. But everyone seems to be talking about it. Yes, this site, MyLot, seems to be the place most online writers have emigrated to in recent times.
So far it's all a mystery to me. This is my first attempt at writing here. I have no followers, obviously, and am following no one - yet. Hopefully I'll come across some familiar names as I continue to explore. This is why I always use the same user name.
One thing that is a mystery to me at the moment is, where do I find out how MyLot works. I just can't seem to find any explanation, any rules, wherever I look on the site?
Never mind, nothing like throwing myself in the deep end and finding out whether I'll sink or swim. I do hope to meet up with a few friends here somewhere.

You will see a lot of people here who were on B and were here before they were there. Briefly, myLot is the best social site on the internet. For about two years it was owned and run by someone else, but the original owners are back and lots of us are flooding in as we hear it because we were always a family.

I hope that after you read the faq's and guidelines, that you will understand how mylot works. One thing I can tell you is to be interactive in discussions, as that is how mylot pays us. You will find it fun to interact with others, as each discussion can get quite a few comments, as that is how you keep it going, and they end up very long and the comments go every which way. Sit back, relax, and have fun.

mylot is more of a discussion site. you can get in and out of other people's discussions. there are no minimum word or character counts for discussions, responses and comments. what's important is there's a topic to be discussed and your responses and comments add something, even if it's entertainment! because you will notice that a response within a discussion can turn from serious to silly and you can't resist joining.

Hello, welcome to mylot. You can find more information on the FAQ page, and you can also read posts from more experienced users explaining how the site works in practice. I will try to give you some links when I go home later today, I am on my phone now and can't navigate properly.

Hi Val, How lovely to see you here - I've jumped in at the deep end too, though I've had my toe in the water just observing for a while. From what I've seen, people are more than willing to help newbies, and we have a lot of friends here from the other site.
