Ever felt so ugly? Ask your husband!

Because of the effect of pregnancy and all the changes that occurred to my body, I lost my confidence. I felt ugly and depressed. I even started to compare myself to others.
I became so moody, sad and frustrated. I became so conscious that I frequently asked my husband about how I look and ended up quarrelling because I didn't feel satisfied with his answers.
One morning, we were eating our breakfast and I got pissed off when I saw him staring at me. I never felt comfortable being stared at since I got pregnant.
I angrily asked him, "Why?!!"
He just smiled and told me
"You're really beautiful."
I was speechless and didn't know if I blushed when he told me that. Maybe it's one of the reasons why I love him so much, he knows how to make me smile.

Your body was a part of a miracle, making life! You ought to feel better about yourself that for the beautiful baby you had, this was a negligible price to pay ( which obviously isn't permanent at all ). Beauty is more than what the eyes see, its in your nature and soul too. I'm only reminding you of these things because everyone eventually gets old and wrinkled; with this mindset those changes will be irreconcilable for you. You have a husband who believes in your beauty, that's all that should matter and not your own version of beauty which is obviously limited to the skin of it.

I hope that it was a temporary phase (when you were in your pregnancy) that you start feeling that you do not look good. When pregnant every woman's body undergo some changes and this makes her more conscious. Hopefully, after delivery of your baby, you started loving you and your body.

hi@JaneApril that was so sweet of him you are lucky to have a loving husbank my husband told me I had a special glow when I was pregnant I remeber feelin ugly too aand Im alomost 89 next monthl

Hatley, my neighbor had special glow too. Actually the kind of food that is taken around that period is perfect. I badly wanted to take her pictures to show her at a later date. But I hesitated. You see, had I taken those pictures and should anything untoward have happened to her, she would have thought it was because of me, right? I mean since I don't have kids, she might have thought I am responsible in some way, jealous or what not. But I made it a point to tell her much later, and she was like, why did you not take? I can't get pregnant again and again. lol. Well, how true. lol. Glad that I have broad minded neighbor. :)

You know pregnant women get a beautiful glow..especially around sixth to 9th months. All that right food is so perfect for their skins and hair. Get real..take some pictures of yourself right now. It is not everyday you can see that glow on your face. As to body, it is only a short term adjustment.

it's normal for you to feel moody given your state. but there's a reason why people say that pregnant women are more beautiful
