I Heard a Four Letter Word Today and I Just Had to Check It Out

No it's not that four letter word, and it doesn't start with R either. It starts with S.
The forecast says we're supposed to get 1-3 inches of SNOW on Saturday. It's also in the forecast for tomorrow night.
Now if only the weather site is right and we do get that nice wonderful white fluffy stuff. It will make my weekend..
We have only one more day in the next ten for Snow. I know it won't last, it's still too warm for it, but it sure would be nice to see it. I was beginning with the way this season was going that it wouldn't happen, and here it is in the forecast. 
Now if only these emoticons had snowflakes, I'd be really happy 
How's your weather? Is it starting to act more like the season? We just need the winds to calm down and it would be perfect.

I have always loved snow. My dream is to move to Alaska where snow is common and temps are perfect for summer and yes a bit nippy for winter.

I am sorry to say we have already had a drifting of snow a few days back now. I hope you are careful if you have to go out in it. I live in a valley so we don't get much. It's that underneath black ice I hate.

We normally don't get snow and I don't miss it. It is supposed to cool down this weekend. Hope you get your snow.

that could lead to good sleeding p rovided a nice deep snow lol I j ust do n ot get excited over snow matbe because ihad 30 years of sub zero temp b lizard, snow blindneww, chilbains, chapped hand s and being cold not thankd Im here in C alif and here i shall sta y lol.

@Hatley It's fun to watch the kids sled down the hills, build snowmen, make snow angels and do all the fun things you can do in the snow. I do understand that 30 years of blizzards, chilblains, and snow blindness can take its toll. I hope you have a nice comfortable winter there in Garden Grove.

I'm waiting for it to start. Everything is ready for it - the clouds, the freezing cold, the wonderful smell of snow on the air - now I just need to see those flakes.

nothing here, thank goodness. gotta get it dry to finally get that last mowing done, each time I get a bit done, then it rains again and I have to wait!

@norcal Then you should see snow this winter as well. I've heard it's the best of both worlds to live close to the mountains and close to the ocean - summer and winter whenever you want it. At least that was the school of thought when I lived in San Diego.

Snow is rarely very welcome here in England, but recently I would have preferred it to our constant rain. At least snow does not get you as wet as rain does.
I managed to type s few snowflakes in Unicode into a document, but when I pasted the result into my comment they reverted to question marks so I had to edit the comment and remove them.

Yes, it should slow them down, but I've seen drivers think they can drive just as idiotically in snow as they do otherwise. Snow is such a beautiful sight. I hope you have a beautiful winter too, and be safe as well.
