Exercise causing more injury

Philippines

Hello Mylotters, "No Pain, No Gain" that's what most people say when they stumble along the way of success. At first with the knee problem, doc said rest in my last check up until the pain is no more. But I did cycling anyways and compare to jogging, It has ground pressure and proved it after more than 20 minutes of work out. But then, I made that dumbbell and after the first day of use, I started having wrist problems. People who commented the last time were probably right, it should be the same weight or it would cause problems. Now, I got knee and wrist problem I don't wanna do nothing but now I'm facing pain both knee and wrist. Diet won't just simply work on me or I get weak.

I had planned to get on the treadmill this afternoon... didn't happen. The day is not over yet though. I haven't been on all week. I have tennis elbow in both arms so I can't life weights either. When people suggest exercises for the core almost every one that I have seen includes leg work. With my fibromyalgia, my legs can only take so much.

@Letranknight2015 I've seen that before. That's a little too costly.

I've used the Wonder Core or Six pack care, this doesn't really require legs much. But I only used this once for sit ups, because it' hurts my back when ever i tried sit ups.

Ah, man! You are probably over doing it!! Start super easy and build your way up - 20 minutes is a long time! Even with biking, you gotta make sure your knee is aligned properly or you can really tweak it. Everyone needs a good challenge, but don't push the limits when it comes to injuries.

@Letranknight2015 Well you know your body best . . . just please be careful!

Well, yesterday I found the technique that kept me from exhausting my hands so i went biking a little bit longer. And besides I rest every after four to five minutes which is why it took longer than 20. @much2say I think my mistake was sudden stop after the last exercise..this time i will continue with it.

Oh dear Letran..I know how the body responds with exercise. Unless one is fit already, the body is going to have injuries if not taken slow. But we want to hurry up and do it and get skinny I know for myself lolz

I actually have sore muscles when i started that certain exercise with my dumb bells to firm my arms so as they will not sag . But i was persistent , i still exercised after a week and later i don't feel sore muscles after that anymore . Rest it and do it again , just like what i did.

I didn't lift some weights this morning trying to make a feel for my wrist, it's less hurting now. must be the dumbbells, they don't have the same weights. @SIMPLYD I will consult with my doctor regardting the newly built dumbbells.

Oh, my! I am feeling both for two years. The pain in my wrists are treated yet, but my right knee is swelling if I am on a squat. Two years ago, I was always squatting every day. My goal was always 100. Now I am enduring the pain in my knee when I do it again. The dull doctors said I have arthritis, but the pain moved away when I took NSAIDS.I never had a dumbbell, but I was every day reaching 15 push ups.

I started doing push ups lately but never reaching ten since my wrist hurts still a bit. NSAIDS? Im taking medication too for the moment until the next month. maybe I will go for push ups more in the morning.

@Letranknight2015 what is the name of the NSAID you are taking? Avoid repeating the numbers of workout you do and try to choose different exercises. Repeating is one of the causes of injury.

The fastest way to burn the fats and show the abs back without injury is planking. I think it would be better for you to pick planking.

But I can't because diet alone can't help me loose weight, I'll just get weaker @jaboUK . one time there was an emergency i almost fainted.

It is wise to see a doctor if you feel pain or got knee and wrist problems, stop your routine and relax and after the pain is gone, then you can continue with your routine.
