They Call It Puppy Love

This afternoon I am in the mood to listen to the "oldies". And when I say oldies, I really mean it. I am talking about the 60's and 70's. Right now, I have Puppy Love by Paul Anka. I just wonder how many hours I spent or should I say wasted, listening to that song. Yes, it was suiting my mind very well at that time, that time of puppy love. Do you remember doing the same thing? Do tell, do tell!
Saturday Night Beech-Nut Show. February 13, 1960. Re-uploaded with corrected audio.

Time spent listening to Paul Anka recordings is never wasted. I still have a fair collection of his music, why I play at times.

@marlina He was also wise enough to stop recording while he was still young and concentrated on song writing.

I guess you are right, it was not wasted time. As long as we derive some happiness from it.

When I was younger, I was too busy being outdoors to waste time listening to the radio. I still don't listen very often except in my car. I'm not familiar with that song, however, I do know Paul Anka, or at least his name.

I spent a lot of time outdoor too, but night time was more indoor especially in the cold winter months.

@marlina I was a tvholic. I watched a lot of TV at night. Mostly westerns. Now the TV is off a lot too. I spend the majority of my time right here.

I do Marlina. I remember sitting and dancing in our basement to many of these records the 45s. Paul Anka was truly a lovely singer.

Actually, I think the other one shown on the side, I liked better. Put Your Head on My Shoulder was a good one too. Oh, you meant how much time was wasted through the years listening to that song? Music is meant to be enjoyed. If you are depressed while listening to music, then maybe it's a waste of time, but otherwise not so much really. I'd be listening to music all the time wherever I am if others weren't watching TV or wanting to listen to something different.

I recall this song. Also recall the remake of it as well. Sometimes the remake is better than the original, but then again, there wouldn't be a good remake if the original wasn't great too.

Paul Anka and his biggest hit are definitely a blast from the past. He was just a kid himself then.

That was a great song and fun to see the beginning with DickClark hits listed by Paul Anka. The words of the song demonstrate to me how the older generation always puts down the younger one. And we know some puppy loves actually stood the test of time.

I know about Paul Anka and if I heard this song I was 3 years old. I guess that would make it a very old oldie. But I am happy for you to be able to reminisce the days gone by. Thanks to YouTube it is possible to actually live in the past.
