Still waiting to exhale?

exhale and feel better

I think it's about time to get back into myLot. Not sure though that it's time to exhale just yet. I've been away from this site for more than 5 years, and just trying to get back in. It seems like life is a series of ups and downs, or a series of good days and better days. I think I could definitely say that life has been better. Not currently in the worst conditions, but I could remember better days. A time where my mind was at peace. And I could breathe easy. The only hope I have is that I can remember being in worst situations. Where there was a sense of hopelessness. And yet I could also remember coming out of it. So it gives me hope that I could overcome whatever I'm going through; and could be in a better place soon. And then I could exhale. Anybody out there having the same feelings?

Welcome back!! You don't have to try to get back in - you're already here . You will not believe me - but I came here just now to post something VERY similar. We just saw Kung Fu Panda 3 and I was reminded about Yin/Yang - the symbol of contrary forces. We all seem to go through those ups and downs in life - the ups are great - but the downs can really bring us down. No matter how people may say it's a balance, I still HATE those down moments and wish they would never come. Whatever you are going through, I know you will work it out somehow . . . will keep my fingers crossed for you!!

I remember having met you here at Mylot earlier. So it is always that happy feeling of someone known to you returning back. I always have many days when I feel exactly like the scenario you describe. But then, it is what they say Life - you fall down, you get up... just because you can simply never give it up. My take - whenever there is something that makes me feel sad, gloomy, I have got myself telling me - aw, this could have been worse. And there is always brightness at the end of the dark tunnel.

I agree - we can never give up. And I think that is what keeps us going. Sometimes we get lost on the wrong path - but there's always a way, even if it's the long way, to get back on track.

@thesids I got on the wrong path of hitting up the stores for all the Easter clearance in preparation for next year ! There are some good deals out there - but I'm trying to stay away from the candy - we have too much here already. Unfortunately all the chocolate goodies are gone, but too many of the sugary hard or gooey stuff is still around. But I can go get some more chocolate for you if you wish - who cares what it looks like (with the Easter decor) - chocos are chocos!

Hey! I remember you!!! I am sorry to hear things are not going so well. I think you are right to keep focused on the outcome rather than the "now". I hope whatever it is you are going through resolves itself quick...

@bounce58 Oh my goodness. You have a great memory. Graduating this month. And yes! Totally different better paying job. How about you? Honestly I am not a details person BUT I remember you always being a ray of sunshine to everyone (so now it is our turn to return the favor). Hows the family? Hope you can stick around for a bit!!

@maezee Hey maezee! Glad to be back. How are you? Are you still in school? Did you quit that job in the Dry Cleaning place already? [Just had a flashback of some of the discussions we had years ago - and some details that I remember.]

Maybe you shouldn't have left mylot, we would have been there for you at least here you can talk to us. except two years ago when they stop paying, this place turned into a ghost town. well, important is that you are back here and doing well.

I did help making this site more into a 'ghost town' when I left, along with a lot of people. I had to grow up a little bit, and it was hard not having myLot as my crutch. But yes, I am back. And I'm glad that I can throw my thoughts back in here -- and feel a little better after interactions with a few people, such as yourself.

I think everyone had ups and downs in our life. We just think positive and hope for the better to come. i had experience all of that and what I did is, I just pray hard and ask for God's guidance. Welcome back here in myLot. You should exhale now and release all the hopelessness in your heart and in your mind.

Yes, even back then, myLot was a form of expression for me. A means to exhale. I think that I take comfort in the fact that I am not in the worst situation; there are certainly others that are struggling more than me. I just hope I could overcome mine though.

Welcome back to mylot. During the last 5 years mylot has changed a lot and even mylot had seen its ups and downs. I am not sure if you know about the developments on mylot, during the period of your absence. I am here since 2007, however, I cannot recall whether we crossed paths, when you were active on mylot. We all face ups and downs in our life and God gives us strength to come out of our difficult situations. We become more aware of the meaning of happiness, when we come out of any unpleasant situation. We hope that now you are out of woods and are ready to exhale and also ready to live with peace. Our best wishes are with you. PS - Thanks dear @much2say for suggesting the post.

Since you've taken the necessary beginning back here, I can only say that it will get better and would have no problems settling in mylot. At least, it had been for me when I was encouraged by some good friends here. As for the bad days I could just and would like to forget my experience with Bubblews who became a nightmare at the end and I can be fair to say that I wasn't alone. Well, all has been forgotten and I intend to make it better here.

@much2say Fully agree, there was one point of time I was actually praying that the law would catch up with them though. I just felt that they had no intention whatsoever in paying people like us even though we are legit. It was just very frustrated.

You definitely were not alone! There were some great times with the people there, but not with the people upstairs - oh that part was super frustrating. Thank goodness we were able to migrate back here and we can be at peace in every way!

I think I did try and create an account with Bubblews; and I think I did post and respond to discussions over there. But I did realize that I wasn't getting the same 'therapy' I was getting here in myLot, so I just quit. And then life happened....

In the last 5 years when people left Mylot, I had career changes, a lung transplant, a break up, I cut ties with my toxic family and many more conflicts. Thankfully I managed to full through and I am still alive. I feel that the future is now bright.

Life is full of up and downs, but one thing I try to remember is, when I am down as far as I can go, the only other way is up.

That is true, @Carmelanirel2 . There have been times where I've felt down and there was a big wall above me that wouldn't let me out . . . but eventually we find that little hole in the wall and claw our way through. It might take some time, but as long we keep productive about it, we get out.

I'm trying to have the same disposition. It's just hard sometimes -- at figuring out if there is a bright side; or if none currently, that there will be a bright side coming soon. Thanks!
